    Pleasantly misleading. When i purchased this, i thought the ring was metal. It isn't metal, but the plastic doesn't feel flimsy like any other plastics would. I'm not sure what the material is, but i'm under the impression that it will last. It fits my Rechargeable Mag D-Cell perfectly! Co-workers joke that i look like a security guard, i deliver pizza.As i've read already, i can confirm that it is more designed for a wider belt, my 1" belt isn't a problem, but does have some play, and the leather is a bit thick and stiff. My father used to be a police officer, and this looks like a cheap version of what he had for his flashlight. It looks like it would fit his utility belt far better.Will definitely be buying a metal one should MagLite release it. 5Maglite swivel hip holster Does what it's supposed to do well. Snap-button is hard to disengaged so it won't come undone when you're carrying it. Carried a 4-D Cell Maglite with Glass Breaker tailcap on my small (28 inch) 5.11 Tactical belt and it worked great. If you have never used a swivel holster just be aware that the maglite will swing a lot (especially if you run...) and it hits you in the legs and sometimes will swing right out of the holster, but it's not this brands fault, it's just a flawed design. 5Great for maglites and then some! I bought this thinking the ring would be metal, I even tossed around buying other brand names, but I always fall on maglite. I'm glad I did. Even though the ring is plastic, it holds up great... I'm a machinist and an avid hunter/fisher, I ALWAYS have a flashlight on me. This holds my 2, 3, and even my 6 cell maglites awesome! And it also holds my high power 1000 lumen flashlight I use when I'm out coon hunting, no problem at all! The snap is nice and tight so I don't worry about it coming undone when I'm wrenching on my machine bumping into it or walking through the woods. Even if it don't last for YEARS like some expect, I will buy another simply because this is a great addition to a great line of flashlights. 5Ok but maglites are a thing of the past I think Had one of these when I was a kid. Works well. Gave it 3 stars because it s for use with a mag light that I found myself not using because my little led flashlight gave out more light than my maglite. Decent product just not much use for it anymore. 3Works great! Fits my 1300 lumen Energizer flashlight Works as described! I go camping quite a bit so I purchased this so I could always have my flashlight within reach. I do not use it for a Maglight however, I use a 1300 lumen Energizer I purchased from Costco. It's fits with no problems. Although the ring is plastic it's very durable and after several months of use still shows no signs of wear and tear. I would recommend this holster! 5Sweet Ring Thing Works well and looks neat. Perfect for my 4D "thug thumper" Maglite. The ring is made of plastic though and seems it'd be a bit nicer if it were metal, which I'm told used to be the case. Still not bad and seems durable enough. The belt snap seems to be strong enough for the job. Perhaps the design is meant to break away in case the light is causing the person to become trapped or captured? Not sure but overall a good product that allows you to carry your big Maglite with relative comfort and allows for one-handed "reholstering" of the light which is a bonus. A good addition to the security belt or any belt for the matter. 4Works Perfect for my security job Photo attached: clips onto my belt, wland holds the mag light as needed. When doing patrols, I carry the flashlight in my hand, and sometimes don't need it. Now, I can toss the light onto my clip, hands free, and grab it when I need it. Good product! 5It has been a wonderful thing to use this fabulous piece of equipment I just could not believe it. I removed the belt holder and with barely a glance at the instructions, I was able to put it on my belt! Then I reviewed the instructions in detail to see how the flashlight fit in the holder. Yes I put it in upside down a few times and it fell out but I kept at it until it was properly nestled in the ring. It has been a wonderful thing to use this fabulous piece of equipment. However I can only recommend it if you want to hang a flashlight on your belt. It will not work for a piece of toast or a quart of milk. 5Double Duty: Maglite & Monopod Holder! This holder is designed for a pro style D cell Maglite, a hefty piece of equipment, so I figure my 8 OZ My SIRUI P-326 monopod shouldn't strain it much. I'm a photographer and often carry a monopod to steady my DSLR camera in dim light. I stumbled on the Maglite holder by accident and noticed it fit my travel monopod, SIRUI P-326 6 Section Carbon Fiber Monopod. It's loose enough to quickly draw or holster, more stable on my leg than a carabiner and holds securely as long as you don't do flips or handstands. I'm very pleased: this leather clip is well made, strong, light and inconspicuous. At $5 it's a bargain, especially compared to the bulky Gitzo GC5330 Series 1-5 Monopod Holster selling for $40. And it works great with my Maglite too! 5Worked on duty. It did the job at the request of a boss while working security. They wanted me to look the part of a stereotypical security guard, so ball cap that said "security" and a big ol' flashlight. It held the light, but swayed a little much. I can't recommend a product I would have rather used, but the keeper definitely works well with a wider belt. If you WANT to carry around a big Maglite, then use this. But my suggestion is to carry a smaller light. 4
