    Awesome!Working perfect on a Unifi 16 Poe 1505Worked perfectly in a GS724TS to allow for uplinking to ...Worked perfectly in a GS724TS to allow for uplinking to a newer GS724 that doesn't have the HDMI stacking port. Took some configuration work on the VLANs to make sure the traffic passed through the uplink properly, but the hardware worked exactly as expected.4Very Compatible!!Worked like a charm, I did notice my switch went into a bit of a harder cooling mode. But communication flowed smoothly and I was able to test it.5Works with Ubiquiti Unifi Switch 24 POE-250W if you set speed manually!Macroreer for Ubiquiti Gigabit RJ45 Copper SFP Module Transceiver Mini-GBIC 1000BASE-T 100mThey worked in a Ubiquiti Unifi Switch 24 POE-250W, BUT you have to set the SFP ports link negotiation to manual and the speed to 1000 Mbps. Took me several minutes to figure this out... The modules keep re-initializing / resetting if negotiation is left on auto! I deducted one star because of this. But overall they are working fine now!4Five StarsWorking .. Hot plug and play with UniFi Switch 8 POE-150w5Didn't work with multiple cardsSo I bought this a while back when I got a new (used) HP server. Tried it, and got nothing from it. No light on the card, no light on the switch, no indication of life at all. Thought it was just the card or something I was doing, so I sit it on the shelf and bought a cheap USB to Ethernet for temporary. A year later, I needed another NIC and didn't want to keep using USB adapters, so I got a new SFP card. Same thing - nothing. No life at all. I can only assume at this point it was the SFP module bad or not compatible.I have wasted so much of my time trying to get my lab working with this, too bad.2Works great for Long distance 1GB fiber connectionsWorks great for Long distance 1GB fiber connections. If you are over 550m-600m go with this GBIC and save money! You need them in pairs unless you already have one at the other end(doesn't have to be the same brand although I would recommend always matching manufacturer too). What I mean is they have to be the same style, i.e. short to short or long to long you can't mix short on one end and long on the other end...5It works!I bought this as a cheap alternative to the "real" thing, but I am only using it for on site testing and/or the random jobs where the switch doesn't have any ethernet ports open. As far as it working with Cisco switches, I can confirm that it does work and work well (used on catalyst 2960, 3560,and 3750). However, for some reason, if the switch or port resets, the gbic does not come back on. You have to manually unplug the device from the switch and plug it back in. If you can handle that, then this thing is for you.Update: After my review, macroreer contacted me about my issues with the gbic. They have since, sent me 2 new updated gbic's that no longer have the same issues as before. I have tested this to be true, but am still testing for reliability.4Easily installed in my Ubiquiti X-SFP routerWicked fast module. Easily installed in my Ubiquiti X-SFP router. Adds an extra port - which I use for the outside interface to the internet.5More ports. Hooray!It seems to work fine in Meraki switch, to gain access to the extra ports. For a quick and cheap way to get a couple more usable ports they are a bargain.Probably completely unrelated but I have had some coincidental problems with an adjacent port occasionally failing to negotiate gigabit speed. I can't say for certain that this is related or that it wasn't there prior. That could be (and likely is) a cabling issue but since I haven't ruled out the gbic I thought it only fair to mention it in case others experience the same.4
