    looks very nice. this one was very easy to install, i was looking for the 4" cans that IC rated... this one takes the cake!was so easy to install and it looks very nice in the ceiling! to bad shipping took too long. 5Stay far away from this crap. Will be changing out with Juno Lithonia products are pure junk!!! Just installed can lights and am sick to my stomach after purchasing trim kits. Kits are so cheap/thin they do dot hold there shape. They bend/dent/ding easier than an aluminum can. Stay far away from this crap. Will be changing out with Juno lighting 1Not For Everybody As others have noted, these are relatively easy to install. For the most part installation goes along the same lines you would expect from any retrofit fixture. The only trick is once the fixture is mounted in the ceiling. You can move the clips into position manually and a screwdriver will be needed (there is a small lip into which the tip can be inserted) to push the clips up into position, locking them into place. Sadly, it is with these clips that the quality of this product significantly diminishes. CREE (also rebranded through Home Depot's EcoSmart) and Sylvania, among others, make good LED modules which can be inserted into a can light such as this, but it is a tight fit. The clips are extremely weak and if you apply more force pulling something down or removing it than you might a light bulb or low-resistance trim they will bend or come loose. This is where my stars fall down from what this product could have been, though it might still be fine for you if you want to use Edison-socket light bulbs, Lithonia trim, and operate on a budget. I also have concern over these fixtures ability to remain flush over the course of years.Also of concern is the IC rating. I could not get confirmation through the documentation (included or online) that the IC rating can extend to non-Lithonia trim or products like the above-mentioned CREE fixture. Contacting Lithonia directly, I could not get a sincere response from their representative. More or less, they simply suggested that they couldn't 'guarantee' an IC rating unless you use it specifically with their trim. Which might be just fine for some customers.I also found that some fixtures I tested this can with would not dim properly using modern LED Lutron dimmers.Unfortunately, there also aren't good options available for retrofit recessed IC-rated 4" cans at least if you want to use LED. HALO has an option which depends on their proprietary LED fixture and attachment. Juno makes what sounds like a good recessed 4" but it costs more than $100. Globe makes a few all-in-one modules but that carries with it its own drawbacks (this is actually the avenue I took for lighting our kitchen, thanks to some local power company rebates).And for the reasons above, this was very much not the right product for me. 2Five Stars The product arrived quickly and it was exactly what I needed. 5Kudos to Lithonia for this can and its 3H2O WetLite Trim!! This can does the job but the real star of the show is the 3H2O R6 WetLite trim that pairs with this can. The trim requires NO lens--quite amazing in a shower!! 4
