Buy Something Else! The product specs say it is metal and glass. You must have to supply the glass. The picture is totally deceiving and looks NOTHING like the product, which is totally white and contains no glass at all, at least not until after you supply a light bulb. Thin white paint on an el cheapo metal stamping. That's it. A fair price for this would be about 7 or 8 dollars. My electrician was joking about it while starting the install. He said he'd have to break the fixture or the mounting box on the wall to install it and that it is not a standard mount, but the big thing he said is "I'd never put this in my home." So, I'm not putting it in mine either.We thought we might try to paint it to look more like the picture, but that wouldn't solve the other problems, and I paid money for something I did not get. Why should I have to buy something and then do the finish work to get what I thought I was buying?If you want a pure white, one bulb sconce with no glass shade, as the product picture appears to include, and you are okay with mounting an electric light carrying 120v on two screws stuck in the wall instead of a grounded electric box, then this might suit your needs. I can think of some applications (commercial), where this would actually be kind of nice in appearance, if this is what you wanted, though if it was what you wanted and you saw this picture you would probably pass it by since this picture would never show you what it really is like, and you would never know it is what you want. If you expect to get anything like the picture you will probably be disappointed. 1Modification Required You cannot mount this lamp to a standard electrical box without modification. See how I had to add a "U" nut and drill a hole in the center of the lamp. This extra work should not be required! 1if you just have two wires sticking out of the wall you'd be fine. Due to the placement of the bulb mount ... They are not mountable to a standard round fixture box. if you just have two wires sticking out of the wall you'd be fine. Due to the placement of the bulb mount to the far right on the back of the fixture they won't flush mount into a standard recessed round box. 1Beware !!! This is not UL listed. I wish I had read the reviews first. I installed this sconce 1.5 inches off center to the right, to keep the wiring inside the electrical wall box. This lamp mounts with the flimsiest of plastic anchors and is held to the wall with Phillips head screws which are inaccessible to tighten. WORST DESIGN EVER! Do yourself a favor and spend a few dollars more and buy a better light, this one is truly bad. PRO- It looks nice once installed. 1Poor light Once again, you get what you pay for. Cheap light, poor design. This is supposed to be a flush mount light, but it has wires coming directly out of the back (on the far left side). This means you can not mount it centered over a wall box. That is a bad design flaw but there are more. When you finally get the thing up and turn it on, the light is mostly on the right hand side. The left has little light coming out of it. It makes it look like one side is burnt out. It doesn't come with a top/bottom cover so if your light is not eye-level, you will see the insides (screws and light). I put my light in a stairway and can see all the internal parts. I would only buy this is you are not concerned about it being on-center, looking nice, and can only see it at eye-level. Not worth returning and looks slightly better than the loose light bulb that I had hanging on the wall before I mounted it. Buyer beware. 1But finding nothing else like them I took a chance I read several reviews and at first I was hesitant to purchase these. But finding nothing else like them I took a chance. NOT sorry I did! I love these. Some reviews were concerned with the mounting. I mounted a 4" round box in the wall and used 2 screws to hang the light. I pulled the wires back through the hole and punched a new one in the middle below the bulb area (not directly where the bulb sits) and ran the wires through that which brought them directly into the box and wire nutted them there. Very neat installation. This method will work even if you are replacing old lights. It will keep it centered with the box. I am of course using LED lights so I am not worried about heat melting the insulation off the wires.Read reviews but use your own judgement. Not everyone sees things as you do. 5Nice design/quality product, but with a catch...... Nice design with easy install. I like the way the light falls on the wall; both up & down. Lights up the room nicely while adding contemporary design. Only wish would be an additional photo on the listing showing the back of the light. The back of the sconce is not flat. The connection for the extending wires not only extends out by approx. 3/4 of an inch, it is off-center. Therefore, if you are replacing an existing light, or already have wires extending from your wall, you will have to adjust the connection to accommodate this wall sconce. In my case, it changed my wall design from symmetrical to asymmetrical. Not a real big deal, but I wish I had known about this detail prior to the purchase. 4Beware White plastic light. Looks nothing like photo. No metal band. 2I ordered 2 of these and immediately returned for a refund Very cheaply made. Flimsy tin, painted white. The picture looks like it's oil rubbed bronze or antiqued maybe, with frosted glass. Not the case at all. I would not install this where it would be visible. The description leaves a lot to be desired. 1Three Stars Light not balanced in the middle. Light is installed on the left side. Looks a little off balanced 3
