Description

This unit contains a Class II Laser with 1mW output
1/16" ACCURACY up to 200-FEET MEASURING RANGE. That's right, a sixteenth of an inch. Take out a pair of earbuds. Look at how wide the 1/8" jack is. Now divide that by half.
BLUETOOTH 4.0 for transferring measurements into desired software. Send measurements directly from the laser measure to your apps using the Leica DISTO Bluetooth Smart (4.0) wireless data transfer.
IP54 CERTIFIED - DUST & SPLASH PROTECTED. Per set of AAA Batteries, capture up to 5,000 measurements.
MIN/MAX FUNCTION. In Min/Max mode, you "sweep" the laser point into a corner. The longest measurement is recorded. Very useful for accurate diagonal room or window/door measurements.
AREA/VOLUME FUNCTION. In Area Mode, this laser distance measure determines the area of a rectangle or square in two shots. Volume Mode adds a third vertical shot to calculate volume.

Great Device; Bluetooth FULLY OPERATIVE With Windows 8.1/PC's - Read Review... I have not had an opportunity to actually use this device too much in real-world, but I am an insurance adjuster and I've tested the device extensively within my own home. I also own the D810 Touch DistoMeter, but I was looking for something (much) smaller and more wieldly, enter the E7100i. First off, I would like to clear up the popular misnomer about this device, that it will not function via Bluetooth on anything other than iOS or Android. This is plain FALSE. After much tinkering, I have found that the E7100i does indeed work seemlessly with the Leica Disto Transfer PC/Windows software. This program must be opened during operation, but it does record each and every measurement taken. You can even fully customize how the command syntax is sent to your PC. A very nice touch. My only gripe is the fact that you cannot do continuous adding measurements (For kitchen cabs, countertops, LF of baseboard, etc). However, this can be solved with a manual addition/subtraction. If you would like further instruction on how to pair the device and make operative with PC, please ask me. Thank you. 4Works with Google Sketchup! I love this Disto. I also have a Windows 8.1 Lenovo Yoga 2 10.1" tablet I was able to pair with and the tablet can run Google Sketchup, so as the Disto takes measurements it transfers the measurement directly into Sketchup, so I can draw a floor plan at the same time I'm measuring- I just point a mouse in the direction the next line should go and take the measurement and it draws the line at the exact length it measured. It is a lot more efficient than sketching the room on paper, measuring everything and jotting it down in pencil, then taking that to a PC to draft.Made accurately estimating my square footage for flooring a breeze! 5Bought for Xactimate mobile, battery life isn't as advertised. Bought this for use with Xactimate mobile and works well. This is advertised as being able to take 8000 measurements before having to change the batteries. I don't think that is accurate. The batteries don't securely fit on the back as I think they should. 4My perfect Partner! What a great little tool! The bluetooth feature allows it to sync with my iPad and drawing floor plans becomes easier and more accurate! Some laser measurers go through batteries in a hurry but the DISTO keeps working for a long time just on a couple of AAA's. 5This thing is fantastic! I use it to measure houses to draw ... This thing is fantastic! I use it to measure houses to draw floorplans. It's the cheapest laser measure with bluetooth, which I use to link to a tablet with a floorplan app and record all measurements to bring home and draw by hand. I would hate doing floorplans without this. 5... a bit before I bought this one - works great - easy - lightweight Researched online quite a bit before I bought this one - works great - easy - lightweight. I carry in my computer bag or purse. Use all the time in real estate to check out room sizes. Very clear readout. Easy to use. 5Good product, but some minor annoyances I have used this product several times since the laser measure was purchased, and the accuracy of the measurements seem to be spot on. However, I have some comments (somewhat negative).If you are an infrequent user, you have to find the manual to re-learn the button uses and sequences. The size of the product limits the number of buttons, but I believe, it could have used at least one more button on the face to separate the functions. If you are in sunlight, good luck reading the display to know which mode you are in and then to read the measured distance. The product could have been a bit larger to accommodate a larger display and more buttons. This is a case when bigger might be better.Measuring a distant wall is no problem. However, here again the small size contributes to another concern. When attempting to measure distances over 50 feet using a target, it is very difficult to hold the laser on target. I found it impossible to hold the product steady enough and press the button at the same time. I finally had to clamp the product in some way, and when I could, I put the product on my tripod and clamped the laser.When I first started using the product, I left the batteries inside; however, If there was any time between use, when I returned to use the product--no juice. It appears that when the product is off, there must be a small electrical draw. The obvious solution is to pull the batteries between uses, which I am now doing. To help me reuse the same batteries, I tape the batteries to the laser measure, and that is a solution to the lost charge problem. Yes, I know. If you don't want a leaking battery to corrode your small electrical tools, you should probably remove the batteries in all of them between uses. 4Almost perfect TINY laser measure Replaced my D330i with this model to have access to Bluetooth on my iPhone / iPad.Light on nonsense extra features but does everything I would need and is very user friendly. Measurement is easy and it displays prior measurements as well so you don't have to worry about writing each one down each time.The size of this thing is amazing, it is so compact and lightweight that it is a pleasure to carry.My only issue is that the Leica app for iOS seems to like to not save my measurements. I finished measuring a job that I had sketched and when I reopened the app later, everything was gone :( hopefully Leica fixes this and it will be a 5 star product. 4GREAT TOOL WOW!!! What a great tool. Put that tape measure away when measuring square footage or lengths. It takes into consideration the tools size; simply place the tool against a wall, hit the go button -- and it gives you the distance within 1/16th inch! Want square footage of a room: turn unit on, hit the square button, measure one wall, the measure the second wall, and wala! It gives you the square footage of that room! Small, comes with a belt loop and a carrying case. Easily fits in your pocket. Gee, I sound like a salesman!Great tool. Wish I had this years ago. 5Handy but Bluetooth phone apps suck Great little measure, but loses 2 stars because the phone apps it's supposed to work with are half baked and developer doesn't respond to issues, nor fix bugs in a timely manner, or at all.Only thing that would make this better is if the readout would rotate so you're not reading the numbers upside down 3
