Five StarsGreat distance measurer! A bit too expensive... 5I liked most of the features ... but it failed to work after few uses..The first time I ordered it, it came defective. The replacement got broken in less than 29 days.The laser beam just disappeared. I used it mainly for measuring houses in friendly environments, so no hard tests - rain, dust or anything like that. I liked most of the features that it has: the big screen, camera, laser beam finder, the zoom option. It really made my work easy but it's just not reliable. Very disappointed about it. It could be a very powerful tool if it worked. 1Does NOT work during the daylight hoursWhile it in fact will measure distance it can NOT be used during the day as you cannot see the red laser light to line it up on the measurements. I purchased the red glasses as well as the targets with it but neither of these make it any brighter. So if you are looking to purchase this to be used during the daytime, SAVE YOUR MONEY!! 1a simple bluetooth connection would be cool. now itsa simple bluetooth connection would be cool. now it is app driven, 1Touch screen is a problem.The BIIIG problem with this is that with a touch sensitive screen, you will frequently activate functions by mistake. This can be extremely frustrating. I would go with the standard model. 2Great Laser... another winner from DISTO!Spectacular laser. Super accurate. Love the large touchscreen and the viewfinder. Solid product that I can rely on! 5Nice but overly complex & way to big form factor!So I used a hilti laser forever it seams and I unfortunately lost my PD40 and decided to start looking at Leica. The first impression upon opening the box was how big it was , then once turned on using the camera function was difficult to a point of being impractical . I think this may work for people who survey sites from very far away and do not actually put on a pair of boots. Kind of like real estate people or a trade doesn't need specific numbers . For a person in the trades the size would inhibit it and the many many features become a bit to much . I was looking forward to the inclination compensation when measuring , the Bluetooth , the app they have that integrates with the device but in the end I choose to return it as it was not meant for throwing in a tool belt and measuring quickly like I was used to . I may get a different one as the return process was so easy and I'm eager to use the brand . Something cheaper with "some " of the higher end features . One thing to note - the Bluetooth pairing was super easy and the app recognized the device flawlessly. That was nice but check the specs because I can't express how big it was . 3Five StarsA great device! Fast & Effective...... too easy to use 5Average measuring tool.I've owned this devise for over 2 years and use it at least 3 times a week. The point finder Camera measuring feature is not accurate and is useless. The laser is hard to see in bright sunny days if your distance is over 13-15 feet . It is very accurate if you can see the darn laser. The Bluetooth feature keeps disconnecting from my iPhone (6Plus). In my opinion it is definitely NOT worth $800. Other less expensive Leica models maybe a better value. Did I mention the wrist band loop is breaking as well :( 3This is an amazing measuring deviceExtremely accurate! Wish we would have purchased this item long ago. This item has dramatically decreased the time it takes to collect data in the field. Also the battery last an incredibly long time. The camera features had came in handy many times as well, when the target it too far away to see the laser or when there is too much light washing the red dot of the laser out. 5
