Customer Reviews

DOAOne of the channels did not work when I received it, opened it up and pushing on a raised metal bar(don't exactly know what it was) brought that channel back. Noticed a significant amount of electrical noise that was not present in my previous amp. Buttons and dials feel incredibly cheap and are difficult to use. Will probably be returning. No way this will push 2 channels at 500RMS2Overheat and damages too quickly !! Lasted a few hrs. Took it to be installed and it sounded fantastic but then it stop working. Checked and realized that 2 channels weren't working and that it overheats very quickly. Manage to keep them working for a while without actually cranking up the radio. Not very good in my opinion. 2I doubt its 2000 watts, but its pretty dang close. I have two kicker 15s, and with this amplifier; its absolutely awesome. I have had it running on 40/50 on my headunit for an hour and i had to turn it down from my ears hurting before it over heated. I have not had it overheat yet. However, be careful where you place this unit. IT DOES GET EXTREMELY HOT. I have had to replace two speaker wires because the unit melted through the plastic casing on the wires.i would recommend this product, coordinate time into planning and be sure you know what you are doing. this involves ALOT of power and one little mess up could end up badly. plan accordingly for hot temperatures. 4Sounded OK but gave out after 6mthsFor clear enough Mids and Highs. I can recommend this amp. The bass got some punch going but would shut down from heat after 15mins of driving only 1 10" Kicker at 2ohm. Solved that by securing a fan over it. Six months later...Not even playing it half way near my regular volume; the amp gave out. Wasn't hot or anything. Just gave up the ghost. Kinda hurt that I have a broken amp to sit and look at but I appreciate the help I got from Amazon Customer Service to pick up what I should have bought in the first place. If you going cheap. I recommend not going lower than a BOSS amp. I am waiting on my Boss AR3000D ARMOR 3000-Watt Mono D Amplifier. I am a little more confident that I will get what I am looking for out of this one. I am going mono because I had already picked up a Boss PH2.600 Phantom 1200-Watt 2-Channel MOSFET Amplifier back in September which I must say impressed me when it rocked the heck out of my two dual coil 10" Kickers wired at 4ohms. I am now using the Phantom to push my Mids and Highs and the Mono Block will be pushing the Kickers. Very eager! Thanks again Jodian P. ;)2This amp only lasted a week its not meant to ... This amp only lasted a week its not meant to drive anything bigger than a 6x9 so just a word to the wise 2Five StarsGreat amp.5Get itAwesome for the price5Cheaply made and OverheatsI bought this Lanzar 1000w 2CH Amp to replace a Sony 300w 2CH amp. I upgraded my 8" sub from a 300w Pioneer ITW to an Infinity 1000w (250w RMS) and was getting the Lanzar to power it. Both the amp and sub had the same power specifications when the amp was bridged. I ran a 12GA wire to the remote lead, 10GA Industrial to the ground, and an 8GA to a fuse and then to the 12v+ battery terminal. RCA was the input. I had the sony 300w amp hooked up to the 1000w sub before and it performed beautify with no overheating at all and could drive the sub all day with no fluctuations and cool to the touch. With the Lanzar 1000w, I noticed an immediate overheating from the center of the amp. I left it in an open air area so it would cool and drove it down the road for 5 minutes. i had the radio volume set to only 25, (32 normally with the Sony) and when i reached my destination, the Lanzar was hot to the touch. I triple checked wiring and let it cool for 30+ minutes. after that I ran it for 20 minutes and the sub went completely out and upon checking the amp, it was so hot that I could not touch the surface without getting burned. My amp settings were [Gain 3/4] [LPF 50hz] [Bass Boost between 2-4 of 12] Bridged. I did not like the quality of sound either. Honestly the old Sony was 1/3 more clearer and had 1/3 more driving power at the 125w RMS level than this cheap Lanzar. I do not recommend and I have installed many sound systems professionally. I've heard bad things about Lanzar audio and I just needed a cheap quick fix. It's not worth the time to fool with unless you're driving some small 6.5"s or 6x9"s.WHAT I'M RUNNING RIGHT NOW:Infinity Reference 8-Inch 1,000-Watt High-Performance Subwoofer (Single Voice Coil)Stinger Pro Series 8 Gauge Translucent Red Power WirePyle PLDCP1.2 1.2 Farad Regular Power CapacitorSony XM-1002HX AMP @300W 2CH 1OHM Selectable1cheap amp, no performanceI should have known from the price that this was a piece of junk. When I first hooked this up to my dodge factory radio, it would immediately go to overload protection and not even try to work. The funny thing is it was such a GREAT DEAL I bought 2 (TWO!) of these amps, and of course the other did the same thing (keep doing the same thing and expect different results...). So knowing I was upgrading to a better head unit (Pioneer AVH-4400- Nice!) I work all weekend getting it going. This Lanzar at least tried and sounded great up to about half volume then, then NOTHING! Surprise, overload AGAIN! Doesn't even work now, just the red light of overload death I guess....If you want a cheap amp, this is it, don't expect any reasonable performance.**My advice: Hook it up to cheap speakers and keep it really, really, quiet!**1Good dealIt was easy to install. Worth what was paid for it5Five Stars 100% recomended.Very good 5Gets too hot blows fuesDislike piece of crap. 1st had to send back can not set gain too highor fues will blow. 2nd one did the same thing. Don't waste your money. I have a audioban 1100wat power bass 850wat 15' both . Lanzar piece of crapOver heats quick blows fues. A 2000 watt should atleast have to fues only 1. It doesnt even wiegh 5 pounds3Surprisingly Good Amp for a Nice Price! Honestly, I was skeptical at first before ordering this amp. I had to think about it for a long time before choosing the amp I want after my old MTX amp broke. 4 Days I finalize my order of the Lanzar amp, and I just received this bad boy yesterday. Boy, I gotta tell you, I did not expect this amp to perform good, it actually went over my expectation. Right now, it is powering up my Dual 12 inch MTX Terminator Subs, and Four 4-way Boss NX654 speakers. The Subs were hitting hard, and my Boss speakers was delivering clear, crisp, home theater sound quality. This amp is more than enough to power up everything! But you know this amp may or may not be for everyone depending how your sound setup is. Go try it! I bought this for an awesome price, and honestly I am happy with it! Thank you for reading, and go On, Blast them Sub Right NOW! 5Two Stars this amp gets hot quick and shuts down.... it was installed out in the open of my boat. 2A little sketchy This is a good amp, when it works. Ive owned mine for about 4 months now, and it recently just stopped working. No blown fuses, getting power but no output. Must be an internal problem. Amazon did NOT want to take the amp back (it has a 1 year warranty) but after a few minutes of fighting with them, they have sent me a replacement. It sould be here within the week. If it goes out again I will be back with an update. But while it was working, it powered 2 500watt 12's and my 2 6" components and 2" tweeters just fine. Hope this helps. 9-17-12 3It worksWorks decent for my deep 10 sub rated for 1200-2400 but it has no fan built in so it overheats3It works, but was heavily used! By no means newIt's packaged and sold as if it were new but it was in pretty rough shape. It works, but far from new2Five Stars Excellent product. 5
