    It s pretty obvious someone just copied the original bookThis book is NOT large print. It s regular print copied on to a bigger page. It s missing chapters 40-42. It s pretty obvious someone just copied the original book, slapped a cover on it and sold it. There s lots of room for notes, though, in the giant margins. 1Unfortunately, this is a book written from the perspective of Latter Day Saints.Not the book I was intending to read! Turns out this book was written by a member of the Latter Day Saints and in no way gives an accurate account of the theological teachings in common Christology. The contents of this book are slanted towards the teachings of the Mormon church within the two continent beliefs. This belief teaches that Jesus appeared on the North America continent as well as in the Middle East. At any rate, it steps well outside of commonly accepted Christology and the life of Christ. 2AwesomeSecond time I ve read this book with 40 or more years in between. I got so much more out of it this time and there was so much the first time. Definitely recommend it. If you have read it and it s been awhile l would recommend reading it again. 5What a terrific guide of the Savior Jesus Christ!The author is so detailed as to the entire life and influence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a reverent and in depth historical account of the Pre Mortal, mortal, and resurrected Christ with revelations concerning the Second Coming of Christ, The Millennial Reign and Final Judgement. I would highly recommend this book to everyone interested in knowing about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 5Beautiful edition of an excellent bookThis edition (Jesus the Christ, Collector's Edition) is beautifully printed and bound. The cover and each chapter have prints of paintings of Jesus Christ. A large black ribbon bookmarker is attached to the spine. The book is large, preferable over smaller "pocket size" editions.The scope of the book is to review all scripture given in relation to Jesus Christ, and is highly recommended for anyone who would undertake a serious study of Christ. From the book: "The treatment embodied in these pages, in addition to the narrative of the Lord's Life in the flesh, comprises the antemortal existence and activities of the world's Redeemer, the revelations and personal manifestations of the glorified and exalted Son of God during the apostolic period of old and in modern times, the assured nearness of the Lord's second advent, and predicted events beyond." The author reviews each phase of the existence of Christ by calling on the four standard works of scripture in the Mormon canon: the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. It is written from the scriptures and is pure in its explanations of the word of God without embellishment. The references are flawless. If you really want to understand the scriptures, reading this book is a must. You will feel the presence of the Holy Ghost in helping you understand the beautiful message that God sent to us through Jesus Christ. 5Not an easy read, but still very inspiringVery informative and inspiring.
