Junk Tried these out to hold shower products and thought the new type of suction would work and be stronger than regular suction cups items.Nope-falls off the walls weekly, have to use body weight to push them into wall and then lock them. Need more than 2 hands to do this. My shower is partially on an outer wall of the house, when it gets cold outside, these loose suction and fall off. Stupid design for a corner rack. Too late to return. Waste of time, effort and money. Going back to regular suction shelves. 1Ok bar/style, not the best suction cups. We just recently renovated our bathroom and have just a shower and not tub so I was looking for a bar to use to place (NOT put all my weight on) while shaving. This product does work for that purpose, even though I know it is not it's intended purpose. It will work for a washcloth or something of that nature, but not a full blown towel. The suction cups or ok not great. We have textured tile walls so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or now, but it stayed in place fine for about a week or so, but then it feel off, I do have to re-suction it all the time which is kind of a pain. 3Very nice This is sturdy enough, and the suction cups strong enough to hold the 5 bottles of shampoo, bubble bath, etc that I have in it. It was only slightly difficult to figure out how to work it correctly. The big suction cups have a big cover over them with a small lever. I found that if you pull the levers up (where they are straight out) and then use them to push the suction cups against the wall, then fold them down... that works best. My only real complaint is that it leans slightly downward. Not too far though, so it's not a big deal, but the bottles do slight forward some. 4Great product Bought 4 of these about 3 months ago for 2 bathrooms because I was tired of replacing expensive pole type baskets that would rust. I don't like the shower caddies that hang on the shower head. So far these work great! The basket is deep enough to hold large bottles and the suction cups are pretty strong (I put a large 32 oz bottle of shampoo plus 2 or 3 other smaller bottles in one of these baskets!). I have 4" ceramic tiles on the bathroom/ shower walls so I had to make sure the locking suction cups where lined up on the flat part of the tiles and not on grout lines ( didn't bother with worrying about the smaller regular suction cups at the back of the basket). Fell off the wall once or twice because I didn't have the suction cup locked down properly. I probably would not recommend this type of product for a bathroom with small tiles or uneven wall surfaces as the suction cups wouldn't work well if there is any kind of a gap underneath the locking suction cups. Overall I am very happy with this purchase! 5Thought it would be great but NOT! Wanted it for the corner of the shower; however, didn't work out so good. Before purchasing look at the corner where you want it to be. For me the tiles in the corner were half tiles and the suction cups would not work because it needs to be a perfectly flat surface, no grout between tiles. So, was not able to use it. The suction cups seem to stick pretty good = on a flat tile! If there is grout under the suction cup it will not adhere - must be flat, smooth surface. 3It works I have been looking for a towel rod with suction for some time, one bought that didn't work well. So I checked in Amazon and decided to take a chance on this one. Surprise surprise-- it works well. Sticks to glass door very well (you have to moisten it). Glad I bought it 5I would not recommend future costumer to purchase those ear Future Costomers.I encourage you not to buy this product. I was attracted by the perspective of having this type of shell that doesn't need a drilling and you could just use suction in order to install it properly. So I bough 3 shelves just to give them a try. Well I regret now. The shelves to not stay at the walls, so every single time you take a shower they would just fell down on you. It could happen during the night as well making a huge noise that is inconvenienet foe everybody. So in order to avoid any additional noise , you literally have to fasten those shelves ANY TIME you take shower, that is VERY inconvenient . I would not recommend future costumer to purchase those. 1Work in Progress Clever suction design, but DIFFICULT to apply unless you have three hands... One is to locate the towel bar onto the damp surface while the other two 'rock' the appliance into place.. The dual stage suction cup is activated by pressing the suction cups with downward motion on the bar to expel the air.. Caution - bar is held in place by weight of towel - so care must be taken when removing towel NOT TO LIFT bar.... the next noise you hear be the bar crashing into the shower floor.. 3Does the job we wanted it to do We just moved to a new condo that lacked a few towel bars. We needed a towel bar to hold a couple of wash cloths while in the shower area. Not wanting to drill holes in ceramic tile, a bar with suction cups was the easy solution. This bar is simple to install and has remained firmly in place for two weeks. So far, so good. I wouldn't hang a heavy towel on it, but if your needs are like ours, this should do the job very well for you. By the way, I looked at Bed Bath & Beyond before ordering to see what they might have. They do not carry any towel bars with suction grips. I found that rather surprising. 5Don't waste your money Maybe I should give it another star because it lasted almost 3 months. And that's my joke for today. It's certainly easy to mount, and looks as though it should stay put forever, but--one of the suction cups refuses to stay put for more than a couple of hours. Many's the time I've gone into the bathroom to see my bath towel hunched at what had become the lower end of the bar, touching the floor.I'd keep thinking that I hadn't mounted it correctly, but enough's enough. I'm not that incompetent. No, the thing, no matter the price, is money thrown out. I'm now trying a different design. Wish me luck. 1
