Customer Reviews

Great feeling keycaps that look gorgeous! The look and feel of these keycaps really exceeded my expectations. They feel very solid and have nice grip, I never feel my fingers sliding all over the place like with some "matte" finish keycaps. This purchase really took my keyboard from looking very nice to looking down-right beautiful! I purchased the "blackgold" (whatever that is), but the keys honestly look more silver than black. Regardless, these still get 5 stars from me.Keyboard - EagleTec KG010Pros:-Amazing feel.-Beautiful look.-Highly compatible (should fit all Cherry MX blue/brown/red keyboards including the Cherry MX knockoffs)Cons:-A couple of keys already had some paint missing, and the LED shines through those spots. A minor annoyance and probably not typical.-BlackGold may look like silver? Unless they sent me the wrong ones. Still don't mind because I wouldn't change it at this point anyway.Irrelevant:-Yes, they leave fingerprints. As does anything silver/gold/chrome. Don't give the keys a negative because you don't understand that :) 5Beautiful keycaps! But some keys may not fit all keyboards. PROS: Absolutely beautiful, good surface area, smooth keys with nice non-texture, great build quality, easy to type on.CONS: They can show fingerprints and smudges if you've got oily hands, not all caps will fit every keyboardFull review:These things really are gorgeous with RGB LEDs shining through and around them. The light reflects so nicely, I could stare at my board all day long. The caps feel sturdy, strong, and well-made. The silver coating and nice and smooth and clean on all of them.Do beware, though, that this glossy finish can show fingerprints and oily smudges. I am usually pretty OCD about this kind of thing, but it actually doesn't bother me too much, so far. They're not super noticeable. Personally, I think they look so good, that it's worth it.Another plus for me is that they caps have a little more surface area and have smoother edges than the sharp stock keycaps on the Corsair Strafe, which makes them easier to type on for me. One of my biggest grievances with the Corsair Strafe was that the keycaps caused me to make a LOT of typos, but with these caps, I'm typing a lot more accurately again, which is a huge unexpected pro to me.As for the fit, in my case, some of the caps don't fit into place on my Corsair Strafe RGB. For me, it's not a huge deal as I had planned on mixing them up with my black keys anyway, but beware if you own the same keyboard.Key's that don't fit: Spacebar, left CTRL*, right CTRL*, Windows, FN, and right-click/menu key In the case of the spacebar, the side mounts are in different positions. You may be able to modify the cap to fit by shaving/cutting out the side plugs underneath, if you don't mind the possibility of it having less stability and/or being only sensitive in the middle portion these are just my assumptions though (maybe it can be done without drawbacks). *The Left and right CTRL keys technically do fit, but they are narrower than the stock caps, so you will have extra space around them, which looks funky. And the remaining keys are all wider than the space on the Strafe, so they simply can't fit at all.Other than those two cons, I am in love with these caps. They look great and the font matches the one on the Corsair Strafe pretty well, so they feel right at home, mixed in with the black keys. 5Great to show off, good enough for daily use. Keys are (obviously) not textured and some may not like that. The good:They're keycaps, they're gold-colored and they're standard sized so will fit your mechanical keyboard. They have notches on the F, J and numpad 5 as they should. The things that might bother you but doesn't bother me:1. They're smooth so they leave fingerprints.2. If your KB is not backlit it's hard to see the letters. This is made worse depending on the lighting conditions because they're reflective.3. They're smooth so more of the surface touch your fingers so they're slightly more sticky than standard keys.4. It's reflective but because it isn't a perfectly flat surface it warps the light reflecting back. You might think they look 'cheap' that way. But from afar, they're epic. 4Excellent price, function, looks, and durability! Converted my Corsair K70 Cherry MX Brown mechanical keyboard after breaking multiple factory keycaps. As others have noted, there are 3 keycaps you'd have to leave as originals in this particular application because of the proprietary keycap sizing/spacing of the K70 - Both Windows keys and the Menu key just to the right of the right-most Windows key. This does not detract from the appearance of the converted keyboard, I've gotten many compliments on it since the changeover. There is a little glow in between the keycaps because of Corsair's LED location - above the Cherry "+" plastic pieces. Initially a bit distracting, I soon grew used to it. I never use the higher brightness settings on my red LED glow, so it is of minimal concern. I find I type at least as well, if not better, after the swap - there was a little learning curve, but I ended up preferring the rounded corners and the "flatter" pane of the keycaps. I also installed clear silicone rubber O-rings during the swap, and even doubled up on the keys I tend to hammer on during driving games (I use the Ctrl key as my e-brake, was breaking Corsair keycaps like there was no tomorrow!). I love my post-conversion keyboard!(BTW - Corsair replacement keycaps cost an arm and a leg, this is much more cost-efficient - and, happily, I'm NOT breaking these!) 5They are really nice, very shiny They are really nice, very shiny, visually appealing and works well with my RGB. They also feel really smooth. There are a few things that prevents it from being 5 stars however. They do show finger prints, but that's almost to be expected. Get a dry cleaning cloth for when it gets bad and try not to type with really greasy fingers. However, there's one big thing to point out. Certain keys simply don't fit. That's not a big deal for me since I did some mixing and matching, and intended on keeping certain keys original. However it's still important to note. They should work fine with most mx keyboards, but they might be designed for keyboards with slightly different key shapes than the ones I have or have tried.Basically, here are the keys that don't fit. The spacebar is a little too small. It requires to be hooked up in 3 spots, but the 2 outer spots are just a bit too far in. Also, the alt, windows, and ctrl buttons at the bottom, (as well as that button that looks like a page. Not gonna lie, not sure what it's called) are all kind of awkward shaped. They are all the same size as the alt button. So yeah, the alt fits fine. You can technically use the ctrl buttons as well if you don't mind there being a gap. But the others are simply too big to fit, at least on my keyboard.Overall I still recommend it. Only not if your intent is to actually replace every single key. Or if your keyboard actually does have all those buttons the same size. 4Great look and feel, installed seamlessly. This set of keycaps was purchased to replace the original keys on my DasKeyboard 4 Pro keyboard. The keys installed seamlessly with no modification needed. The keycaps look and feel great. The smooth tops are a vast improvement to the tactile feel of the original DasKeyboard keycaps. Note though, if this is your first time replacing your DasKeyboard keycaps, you may want to also purchase some stabilizing inserts as DasKeyboard is known to glue their inserts in place. Highly recommended product, I would definitely buy again. 5DIY any keyboard! This pack is the quickest and cheapest way to create a custom keyboard. I have been searching for cheap key cap replacements and I came across these and did not think these were going to be good at all. Much to my surprise when I opened the package they are actually made of a solid plastic. They have a "Gamer" type face which is alright, personally I like a little more neutral font, but its fine for this purpose. The caps are a bit slick, but they allow for really nice finger placement. Since the key caps are circular they almost wrap to your finger tips. It's a weird sensation that you really need to try to understand. Because of the grip, the key caps really give you confidence in your typing. I have been using these caps for both gaming and regular typing and I have been really enjoying the experience with both. If anything, it is just a change of pace from normal keyboards. They make any keyboard also look "custom" which is makes any desk look modern and clean. If you are looking for a switch up on normal keyboards this is the cheapest option to get a custom look and change of pace. 5nice custom caps with a GREAT practical benefit This review is for the round black keys style of this product.I knocked off one star because the name of the product, as of 6/30/2017 (my order date) was "E-Element 104 Double Shot Inject Backlit Keycaps Retro Typewriter Style for all Mechanical Keyboards". If they say all, it's fair to hold them to that standard. And not all the keys fit in the bottom row. The Ctrl keys fit fine, but the alt, right-click and windows keys are too big to fit next to each other (they fit individually, since each keycap only mounts onto 1 stem). The spacebar doesn't fit because the spacing of the 3 stem mounts is off.Another user commented on a 3-star review that the bottom row of keys doesn't fit Corsair, Razer, and most Logitech keyboards. He's definitely correct as far as my Corsair K70 keyboard goes. I'd love to know how he knew about which brands and models would be out of whack with these. How do you know if your keyboard isn't the standard layout? anyone? Bueller? If you know, reply to my review please. So, onto why I really like these keycaps. The main benefit of the round keycaps is that they leave space in between them, and since i have a Corsair K70, which has no raised surface or housing around the mounting surface of the switches, it's a BREEZE to clean. just an air bottle between the keys, or a wooden toothpick to dislodge anything that's stuck to the brushed aluminum. So practical, I love it.And since I can see the mounting surface, I don't have to guess when it's time to clean my keyboard, or how much of it I need to clean. I don't even need to pull the keycaps off. This is a huge time saverSince the keys are smaller, some of the LED liight is reflected off the bottom of the keys in the row above the LEDs. e.g. E & R reflect off the bottom of 4, C & V LEDs reflect off the bottom of F, etc. You might find this annoying. I personally don't mind.I've added a photo. ( I don't show the right side of the keyboard because the problems I had were with the main part of the keyboard. ) 4These key caps are good and look good BUT they destroyed my keyboard's stabilizer. These keycaps are the real deal pbt double shot built to last. However, the BIG problem is that these key caps fit switch and stabiliser stems very VERY bloody tight.I bought my kit almost a week ago, one day i was removing the key caps to have the keyboard dusted. What I noticed was the caps were very very VERY hard to remove from keys that use stabilizers(enter key, shift keys, space bar) I was very careful in removal of the keys so the shift keys and the enter keys came off with alot of work and meticulousness put in.The space bar however was not fortunate, the blasted spacebar key came off AND YANKED THE LEFT AND RIGHT STABILIZER STEMS RIGHT OUT WITH IT. I was so angry, so frustrated. Despite my best efforts in removing the damn key, it damaged my keyboard's space bar by destroying its stabilizer. Gently rocking the key side to side for minutes on end while pulling slowly did no justice. NONE. I've had my keyboard for a year and a half without any problems, flawless. Its when i got this key set did the problem start, it destroyed my space bar's stabilizer.I really would like to have a partial refund as I am now with a keyboard using a busted space bar thanks to this key set's bad stem fit design. It being WAY TOO TIGHT is the problem this key set has. BEWARE PEOPLE. For all you know, it could break your switch stems if you're not careful at all. As I was extremely careful and it broke my space bar stabilizers. They look just like the picture described and matched the accents I have which are black monitor, mouse, keypad etc all with some sort of metallic accents/labelling. I'd like a partial refund because the product, while it functions, has a bad design that caused damage to a device I owned without problems for 14 months.Edit: Seller was swift with a full refund and I kept the set after I explained my predicament. Again the keycap set is good and looks good. Just like they said, but be cautious when removing them for cleaning because they fit tight on the switch stems. Very tight, tighter than anything else I've tried before. But they are quality keycaps as advertised. 5Very nice keys! A little hard to keep clean, though. These things are great! I purchased a set to partially install in my Velocifire VM01 Mechanical Keyboard 104-Key Full Size with Brown Switches LED Illuminated Backlit Anti-ghosting Keys for Copywriter, Gamer and Programmer. Install was very easy and all the keys I used (Alphas, D-Pad and Numpad) look amazing against the rest of the black keys. A couple things I should mention. First, these are very smooth. EXTREMELY smooth, even. Like glass. That's been waxed. And then covered in ice. Which is fine for me, but some people might not like it. Second, because these things are smoother than glass with a coating of ice on them, they smudge really easy. Play a lot of FPS games? People are going to know, because, unless you clean them regularly, your ASDW keys are going to look like a toddler sneezed all over them. BUT! Keep them clean and they look amazing. It really just incentivizes me to clean my keyboard more often. Which is probably a good thing for anyone to do. 4
