Computer broke almost as soon as customer service ended. Wasted money.This computer has already stopped working. The screen started messing up a few days ago. Just about the time all customer support ended. I was very apprehensive to purchase this because it looked like such a good deal. To be honest, I don't mind a product having issues. It's the lack of customer service that is unacceptable. $300 is a whole lot of money for 2 months of computer use. I highly suggest not purchasing anything from a company that doesn't take care of its customers.1Great PC for the moneyI've had the PC for almost a year, and have had no problems. I followed the instructions that came with it. The refurbishment on mine was great, looked like new keys, no scratches or defects. I don't use mine on battery very often, or for more than an hour, so not an issue for me. I bought this model due to the SSD and i5 processor, on sale for $249 at the time. Newer models were over $600. Screen is good enough for me, but not 1080p. Mine does have an HDMI port.5Won t charge out of the box...UPDATE: Wrong charger - sent a 45W charger and needs 65W (19.5V 3.33A called for on back of battery compartment - see photo). Need to have correct charger sent or the laptop is useless!Seems to be a good laptop - but it won t charge with the power adapter. Power light blinks a few times and goes off...and you re left watching the battery drain.Also, the resolution gets no better than ~1360x768 ... which is fine for me, but don t expect any higher resolution.Would be a snappy backup laptop (which is what I bought it for), but it simply won t charge. Guess I ll be sending this back and looking elsewhere. Shame because up until it ran out of power, it was worth the price.1Great laptop for the money.As stated in the other review look up the benchmark of the 4300M.It s a fairly adequate processor for a laptop.It won t process 3D videos but it s better than a Chromebook.Also, reviews should be just that. Hence 5 stars.5Defective/Doesn't workTurned on the laptop to initiate set up, chose express setup but it was stuck on the "just a moment" screen for an hour. Attempted to restart and just got a black screen. Will be returning product for a refund. I don't understand how someone could sell a completely defective "certfied refurbished" product.1Damage and Dirty ElectronicsThis Lab top arrived to my home in a box to large to hold the lab top. When the box was opened the lab top was extremely dirty with some type of white residue, scratched all over and the key board was caving in. They sent me a replacement lab top and it too came the same way, minus the white residue (but dirty) and the lab top would not turn on. I would not recommend this to anyone. I got this computer today January 7th 2018 so consider this relevant . The keyboard seems to be out of place as if assembled wrong when "refurbishing" . Maybe the whole keyboard itself was replaced because it seems cheap.The screen seems cheap as well. Cheap aftermarket replacement ? I watch stock exchanges and crypto exchanges and all the small details are blurry and very low quality looking.The computer itself was dirty. Like literal dirt and dust all over the screen and keyboard and in crevises I can't seem to clean it out of.I haven't heard the speakers yet they better work.I question HIGHLY if the guts and components of this computer are as advertised .No idea what year this computer was even made now that I think of it.VERY POOR service from whoever I bought this from, I don't remember the name of the seller but if your reading this it is THIS seller. I say this because to avoid the sort of issues I have would have taken little to no care, meaning they definitely don't give a s#!&I will be taking this laptop to a computer specialist to have it checked out and possibly get a new screen or keyboard. This sort of non sense isn't acceptable .2Not recommendedI bought 3 of these Laptops as a gift for 3 college studentsNoticed significant cosmetic ware on especially two of the LaptopsOne of the laptop's DVD does not eject out and also has less battery life 3 hrs 30 mins when fully charged while the other two have 5 hrs 30 mins when fully charged. You may be better off to add a few bucks to buy new one instead of these overused "refurbished" laptops.2Total Garbage ProductThis product is terrible. Supposedly it is "refurbished to factory condition". That's totally not true. I first opened it up and three keys on the keyboard had their letters rubbed off. Then, when I booted the machine for the first time, the Windows 10 install failed with "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer, and then restart the installation." But when I clicked OK, the message just came back. So someone had done something to the factory install. Additionally, it had gray wood-grain laminate on it around the keyboard and on the track pad that isn't on the pictures of the computer. It was only half-way stuck down in several places. Was someone trying to hide something or what? (I didn't peel back the stickers, but I was sure curious what was under there.) The paper that came with the computer was not from HP, but from some refurbishing company.Needless to say, I returned the product.1
