Customer Reviews

Exactly what I needed...I purchased this cable to enable me to connect portable devices via RCA cable in a new Nissan Pathfinder. I tried this particular cable because the plug on most cables was too big to fit the opening on my iPhone 4S while inside an Otterbox Defender case. This one works because the right-angle plug is thin enough to fit correctly in the small opening on the Otterbox Defender case. If you are looking for this type of cable and have a similar application with a small opening, this might work for you too.5Bad RCA ends/collars The RCA ends are so loose they can fall out just from gravity (turning component upside down). These go into a mini-mixer for live shows so, for me, they are are completely unusable. Disappointed as Hosa normally makes good products but these are not up to those standards. 2didn't fit phones or tablets with caseswhen I first got hands on with this cable I noticed the thicker rubber coating and it made me hopeful that it would help with durability. My issue started when I went to plug it in. I found that it will not work with any of my phones and tablets that have cases on them. I attached a photo of the previous cable I was using that has an "Extension" before the boot to ensure the jack can clear cases. I gave a 1 star since the cable was marketed for this purpose but I cannot utilize it without risk to damaging devices by removing them from their protective cases to use this cord.the Hosa is on the right, old belkin on the left.1Great cable but can pick up faint digital noiseThis is a well made cable and handy to use with its right angles plug. However it is not perfect. I'm using it to connect my laptop earphones audio out to my stereo amplifier and I can still hear very faint digital noise coming through when no music is playing. But it's much better than the prior cable I used.4Great for Wall mounted TV's. With 6 feet in length the 90 degree cable end is great for our swivel hinge wall mounted TV. This wire reduces the tension on the audio out connection and the thickness of the insulation have No Hum from interference. Now I can easily use my Logitec Z506 speakers on a TV or connect a powered tower speaker without worrying about using up the AV jacks. 5Decent cable--works as it's supposed toCables are binary things. They work or they don't. This one works fine. It transmits the signal, has adequate shielding, and the plugs are connected solidly to the wire. Plugs on both ends are standard size. No hum and no loose connection crackling if you move the wires.4Great cordI didn't realize it was going to be tough to find a cord in this configuration. I used it to tap my Sirius xmp3 directly into my kenwood dvd player's aux1 input. I wired the back up camara to the aux1 video and tapped into the trailer battery feed so I can have my backup camera on with sirius at any time I want. Works great, buy this cable. Don't worry about the colors orange/tan.5Better than expected. The item I received is higher in quality than the picture and price lead me to expect. The jacks and insulation are relatively beefy (not quite traveling stage performer standard, but you'd pay more for that). I appreciate nice touches like labeling the RCA plugs with what they connect to on the TRS jack. The RCA jacks are perhaps a little on the loose side, but not enough to subtract even half a star; also, they're slightly different than in the picture: a little longer, and the left/mono sheathe is black, not white. If you look at the picture you can see that the cable actually leaves the right-angle 3.5mm as the paired style of cable, which I appreciate, but be aware in case that would cause issues for your application.5New design does not match picture. Works fine. Works totally fine, but Hosa have changed their design and it does not match the image. They now use the industry-standard red/white plastic, and the design of the strain relief is different (and less pleasing to my eye).If you don't care about any of that (why would you, it's just a cheap audio cable), fine! these work great.Personally I already own several Hosa cables in the old grey/white design and bought this so it would match them, so I was disappointed. 3Excellent cable The cable is quite stiff and thick, so it's good it has a right-angle connector. The plugs are indeed white and orange as shown in the pic. Orange is labeled 'Ring' and white is labeled 'Tip' which describes which conductor on the 3.5mm plug they go to, but it's all standard stuff.Sound quality seems great. Remember to always get the shortest cable that will reach your components! :) 5Has a quality feel to itnot supper heavy duty, but has a quality feel to it. The male RCA ends are a full cylinder rather than four tabs. This style of RCA has proven to be stronger and more durable. The cable running into the audio jack has the channels separated into two cables connected in the middle. It is my opinion that this is better than having both channels running through the same insulator tube. The real reason I purchased this is because the audio rack that it goes too is on the edge of a table so the cable drops straight down. We all know that an RCA'a pressure fit connection can handle a good amount of bending pressure without warping, but female AUX jacks get glitchy if pushed on for too long. they 90 degree turn takes most of that pressure off.5Theses are very high quality whether you use them as they are or alter the connections.Cables are Great! I have had them since August 2015 and no shorts yet, and I have plugged and unplugged them about 100 times. I however decided I wanted to hook my computer up to the guitar 1/4 inch ports pan potted so I get left and right channels, and could take advantage of the two mid range controls. RCA only has High and Low frequency controls on the mixer. So I added these so I could do that: CablesOnline, 2-PACK RCA Female Jack to 1/4" Mono Male Plug Right Angle Gold Audio Adapter, (AV-A21MR-2)Sold by: AZsales These will be alot better than cheaper quality non-Hosas.5Super Heavy Duty!A bit overkill perhaps but for a permanent connection these adapters are just the ticket. Oddly, the RCA plugs are labeled in the old fashioned telephone co. "Ring and Tip" nomenclature! Is the ring left or right? The tip? So the RCA plugs are orange and white not the usual red and white. No big deal. If you need a robust connection, this is it! I like the right angle 3.5 mm plug since this is plugged into the front of my audio device it makes for a less intrusive arrangement.5better cable than most!!!!!This cable I use in my car to hook up either my phone or Ipod when I want to have a playlist going. This cable is heavy duty and appears to be well built. The other cables I had lasted about a year then one side usually stopped working. This cable is not like the others, which were thin and flimsy. This one is thick, heavier, and should last longer than a year. It plugs up to my cd changer control adapter on my pioneer premier deck.5
