I had this on my friends' surveillance NVR and it ran pretty quiet and have no problem so far. 4Five Stars works well 5drive for my raid 6 Installed this drive in minutes and it ran flawlessly in a raid 6 system. It's manufactured from 2010 though If that matters 5Five Stars thanks 5Good Reliable Drive \ Low price As a PC builder with over 20 years experience and HUNDREDS of builds I can assure you that I have purchased MANY Hard disk drives. I mean from the time when they were $5.00 per Megabyte and the controllers were Microchannel Architecture mounted on a daughter board. These modern SATA drives ROCK! They are huge, run quiet and cool, use a fraction of the power they used only a few years ago and are CHEAP. This hitachi specs out somewhat better than average for drives of it's class, it's not the fastest, or the quietest, or have the longest Mean Time Between Failures. It is somewhat better than average. What this drive offers is value. Storage size + Reliability VS. $$$Cost. For the Money this is a GREAT Drive. They last long. They run cool. I buy bunches of these for RAID arrays and believe they offer my clients very good value.To sum up: I am happy with these drives and with Amazon's service. Buy this. 5Product works great.
