As a few weeks have passed my co-workers are saying my radio transmissions are muffled. It hasn't rained yet, and the mic isn't blocked. Everything else works great, but one of the two most valuable components seems to be failing. I really hope it doesn't get any worse!Update: mic failed three months into purchase. So I rebought thinking I received a bad product. Upon receiving the Hawk Lapel Mic in the mail it is totally different packaging. No molded ear pieces, Pitt is different than the last Hawk Lapel Mic, and there was no crappy "Tactical Ear Gadget" printed on the Lapel mic which is very unprofessional in my opinion. The public doesn't need to see the word Tactical on any of my gear!! 1Great piece of equipment.This little earpiece has lasted a couple of years with just simple changes of the earpiece. It's worked in the rain and the elements. 5Great product.Product works great, came faster than expected and cheaper than anywhere else. The only reason it got 4 stars is because the package was opened and taped. I did not see any remarks about it being a opened product. Product looked brand new but washed ear buds just in case. 4Tough fitHard to get a good fit in the ear for me. 3Bought two. Both die in less than 6 months.Purchased two of these and most recent died in less than 6 months. When they are working they are great. Problem is they just die at random. Came back after a week and boom sound is almost nonexistent even on max volume. Check connections and all looks good, product just dead. 2So far so good.Product was delivered early, and put to use the next day. Been using it a couple weeks so far on patrol and so far so good. Everything is crystal clear 5???Nice looking product but does not work on my Motorola XTS 2500. 2Five StarsWorked great. 5
