    Very easy (standard) recessed lighting installVery easy (standard) recessed lighting install. These have a nice low profile - I have an original mid century modern home with 2x8 flat roof framing, and I was able to install these and still get 2 inches of closed cell foam above them. There is closed cell foam sprayed all around them. That, combined with LED gu10 bulbs, and these IC cans have never cut out on us from overheating. 3" cans definitely do not produce a ton of light, so make sure you do equivalent wattage calculations so you get the right number of lights for your space. A google search will bring up one of these calculators for you. We chose the Halo Recessed 3011TBZBB 3-Inch 15-Degree Trim in antique bronze as the finish for these, and they look outstanding, both the trim and the light pattern. 5Five StarsHappy with purchase 5Purchased NEW, but received USED, damaged housings.I purchased NEW Halo Recessed Housing, but the 3 products I received were clearly USED. They had bent brackets, scratches and the foam was ripped. I still ended up fixing them and using them since the electrician I hired was able to get them to work. 1Good product and solidly builtGood product and solidly built. I would say they are a little heavy for what they are, could be designed better. Acceptable build quality, however. 4
