    Nice tool! I like that this tool is light weight. It does a great job of gripping the material being cut. The retractable hooks are convenient if you need them, so that the material doesn't kick back on you and keeps your finger from harms way with the saw blade or router table bit. 5Hardcore Gripping Power. Perfect for the Jointer. Pros: Angled handle Design works well for the way your body is positioned when moving material through. Most decent push blocks will have this design.* Gripping surface is amazing IF you keep it clean. Use mineral spirits or alcohol to clean the pads.* If you buy 2, you can push material through hand over hand.* Build quality is spot on. They are absolutely worth the price.* The drop down cleats are awesome. These are gravity fed, not spring loaded. But use them to push through, not anything else. On a jointer, keep your downward pressure on the out feed side. Use the gravity cleats to push the last part through.Cons: A little pricey. 5Much Safer Than Foam Blocks. Love These! I have two of these and use them all the time on my Jointer, Router Table and Table Saw.Sometimes I use the gravity fingers to help pull the wood through and other times I use the rubber alone. I love these. I started with one and bought the second. All my other push blocks, especially those with foam are in a box in the cellar. Gone are the days where the foam gets dusty and slippery and I'm struggling to get a piece through the cutter. That is simply too dangerous! 5Very handy Works as it should, pretty straight forward design and use. I use it on my band saw, table saw (when appropriate) and router so far. It grips the wood quite well (wipe off any dust off the pad before each use for max grip) and the nubs in the back help push the wood along. I use this along with my Micro Jig Grr-ripper when working on longer work pieces 5MUST HAVE SAFETY ITEM. Right next to hearing and sight protection. I have the GRR-RIPPR system and got these for my jointer table. They do work and I feel much better around those three spinning razor sharp blades. The automatic drop down catches are nice too. And you can lock them out of the way if you so desire. Love these! 5Great safety device A number of years ago, when I was first setting up my woodworking shop, I bought a GRipper 200 push block. The nicks in the push block are stark evidence of what would have happened to my fingers. I am VERY safety conscious and keep my fingers and hands as far away from spinning blades as I can. That's I was interested why when I saw that GRR-ipper had created a flat push block. I use it for my band saw (resawing), my router table (boy those bits spin fast) and of course for my table saw. I highly recommend it. And just an FYI... I use these products to keep my hands and fingers 6 inches away away from spinning blades because I don't have a table saw with a "brake". And I don't know if touching the spinning blade of that brand with one of these would trigger the braking mechanism. I'll have to ask the next time I see one of those demonstrations. 5Falling apart after less than 2 months home-shop use Nice solid feel in my hand and they gave me better grip than cheaper pushblocks, but after less than 2 months use in my hobby shop, they're falling apart. I bought 2 and they're both losing their rubber pads - the pads are pealing away from the plastic base and the rubber is also showing quite a lot of wear - the rubber itself is disintegrating.. I understand the rubber has to be fairly soft for a good grip, but it should have lasted longer than this.Follow-up: I contacted Microjig and was told they'd certainly replace my failed blocks. For their purposes, they asked I email photos of my blocks, and I did. I never heard back from them. I sent them another email to see if I'd been accidentally forgotten, but got no response. These are fancy looking junk and the supplier provides no real customer service. 1Does the job and seems durable This thing works very well. I bought one of these and one of the less expensive Bench Dog push blocks, figuring I could use the latter near the leading part of the board and this block, with its drop-down edge hooks, pushing at the rear. So far it's worked out well and has helped greatly with my efforts to keep boards firmly against the fence so the cuts stay true and accurate. Actually the Bench Dog's grippy material is starting to come apart a bit, but the Grr-rip Block still looks like new. 5great customer service These work amazingly well on the jointer. Warranty is amazing as well, I had the green pad begin peeling off and after sending in photos Microjig sent me a replacement free of charge 5Fabulous function and safety! I have been using the standard original GRR-RIPPERs on my table saw for several years now and for reasons of effectiveness and safety I consider them the most important tools in my shop. Therefore, when I saw these I thought they'd be equally good on the jointer and for certain kinds of feeds on the table saw and other tools.They are even better than expected - drastically better than standard push blocks! The green gripping surface is very secure, but it is the drop-down features that can help so much when securely pushing a board across a jointer. 5
