    Great hammer, excellent customer service.Grace USA makes some great stuff. I sent them an email asking about the naming conventions on their screw drivers, and received a personal answer back from the president after hours. As it turns out, he didn't know either - it was some internal numbers they had been using forever. I'm very happy with this brass hammer - it is well made and does the job well. 5Excellent hammer at a reasonable price.This is the best 4-ounce brass hammer I've found. The shiny brass head is one piece so there is nothing to unscrew or come loose. Both faces are identically flat. There is a very slight concentric ring pattern on both faces. If you prefer a flat and polished face it should not take too much work to smooth a face flat and polish it. Having said that, I prefer the hammer just as it is since I usually use a brass drift with the hammer anyway. However, I like using the brass hammer as well in case I get clumsy and miss the drift with a blow. The handle is the best feature of this hammer. It gives a good grip and is long enough to put some momentum into the swing if a piece is being stubborn. The generous handle also provides an excellent surface to mark the hammer as your property if you share a work area with others. I see no issues with the head coming loose at all. The handle seems to be made of ash wood. It is secured with a wooden wedge driven in at the top and potted in what seems to be epoxy. Also, a lateral brass pin provides further assurance that the head will not ever fly off. Given that this hammer is going to be used for precision bench work and not building demolition I'd say this tool will endure and give excellent performance, too. 5Top Quality ToolsThese tools set the bar. We use Grace punches, chisels, picks, and screw and hex divers at the gunsmithy where I work. They are so well made they are works of art themselves, and working with such tools makes me want to do my absolute best on every job. 5Satisfied.I was concerned about the weight of the hammer, I wasn't sure if 4 ounces would be enough for an AR build. It worked just fine, perfect size for punching in those roll pins. 5GiftGift 5My new favorite smithing tool!This is a quality tool, and just the right weight for myriad 'smithing tasks. Used to have to resort to the ball peen hammer to drive out the tight pins, but this one has just enough mass and nice balance for the jobs that need doing. It's a high-quality hammer and a bargain at the price! 5As expectedIts a brass hammer. Not much to say really. Have not put it through much use yet since it is mainly for more specialty jobs. Seems well made. MADE IN USA which is a major plus. Bought it for firearms work. Maybe the 16oz was a little heavy for that, I imagine I will be choked up on the handle close to the head with this hammer for those types of jobs but I suppose it is better than trying to use too small of a hammer.It appears the hammer head is attached to the handle by pressing in the brass with a punch or something on both sides rather than something like wedges driven into the top of the handle. 5A good solid toolWell made and well balanced. Used to remove and replace pins in a 9mm Shield. Did the job well. A good solid tool. At first I thought it might be a little on the heavy side but turned out to be just right for the work. 5Awesome!I haven't had the chance to use this brass hammer but I can tell just by holding it that its a solid tool and will make a nice addition for my tool box. I specifically ordered this hammer for gunsmithing work and I am happy with my purchase. I've ordered other Grace tools in the past and they are all quality tools, all made in the USA which is a huge for me.Edit: This is a fine brass hammer. I have hammered pins from gas tube pins to forward assist pins to pins on my Glock and my XD9. 24oz might be a little heavy for some folks but I like the heavier hammer as it helps when you need to drive that one stubborn pin. If you need a lighter hammer just hammer lightly. 5Yep, it's a Brass HammerIt's a brass hammer. Not much to review. It hammers. It's main purpose is to hammer a rod into a gun barrel incase I squib. Never had to use it yet but I bet it will work. Nice brass, nice wood handle. 5
