Not sure why Amazon is asking me about pain relief.5Had On/Off Cycle Problem; new bulb fixed and works well so farMy HPS light over the driveway was about 5 years old and the light started cycling on and off. I incorrectly assumed it was the ballast but after doing some research online, I decided to buy a new bulb first. This bulb came well packaged and immediately fixed the issue. Evidently HPS lightbulbs start causing voltage issues after a few years and to prevent burnout, the circuitry in the ballast automatically cycles. One note, make sure you choose the right base and wattage. This GE bulb is made in Hungary and costs more. But not only does it look much better made and give more light at the same wattage, it seems to be much more reliable as well. I'm sold.5Excellent 150HPS Bulb! Great quality and awesome price!Excellent bulb! Using this bulb for my enclosed ballast/reflector setup of the brand name Floralux 150HPS enclosed ballast/reflector. This bulb is what it says on this reflector to reuse when needed for a new bulb and it works just like new again! FYI: whichever setup or whichever ballast you're using make sure you order the correct size of threading of the 150 watt HPS bulb such as this one is a medium base bulb for this listing that I ordered. There are other styles of 150HPS bulbs, 250HPS, 400HPS,600HPS bulbs along with metal halide bulbs as well. You DO NOT WANT to use metal halide bulbs on a HPS ballast unless your particular ballast is digitial for example, and it also says it's compatible with both metal halide and HPS bulbs.5PERFECTLY GOOD BULB EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Highest quality , actual GE , very bright and long lasting ! Perfectly functional and reliable when used in the proper outdoor security light fixtures for which it is intended ! Always make sure especially with specialty fixture that you have the exact right base , shape , size and ballast because it might only not work it could cause fire or shock hazards !5Don't accept anything less then GE.I ordered (3) of these lamps and one of them was a rare sodium "leaker". Normally, these lamps start cycling on & off until 5-6 years have passed, so I don't replace them very often. This is because of GE's high engineering standards. Replacement of my "leaker" took about a month, since I had to return it for replacement - at my expense.5
