    Quality product with a great price! Not as bright as the package claims but they still seem good, regardless!Installed in an outdoor motion detector light in the backyard. While it's pretty bright, It doesn't seem to be of equal brightness to the 90 watt bulbs they're replacing. Maybe 60-65 watts in brightness, tops. That of course is my opinion as I don't have the ability to test that theory. I just know they aren't as bright as the bulbs they are replacing which where 90 watt incandescents. They do the job well enough however, As long as they don't use as much energy as the incandescent bulbs they're replacing, I'll be happy.The price was right on and these appear to be quality bulbs regardless of my opinion.5Good lights but not recommended for outdoor security flood lights.Bought it for outdoor security/motion detection flood lights, but did not meet my expectation. CFLs when first turned on from a cool state take a while to get bright because they have to warm up. For security flood lights, ideally you want the lights be bright and light up instantaneously at the aimed area.Even though these lights are designed for indoor and outdoor, I do not recommend getting CFL lights for security lights. I bought bright LEDs instead and they worked out very well for me.3It's a light bulb and it worked.Works as expected. It's a lightbulb. Didn't really change my life much.5The Longest Lasting Spot Light I Have Ever Had!This bulb is incredible. I have two spot lights over my garage which I turn on and leave on all night. The bulbs I know have, have been working for 4 years. I ordered the new bulbs because I know they will soon burn out. Be careful to buy this particular bulb if you want a dependable product.5Very Good Floodlights that Last for YearsI have two of these floodlights in my front yard and have them on for at least 10 hours every night and they last for several years. This light also casts a nice wide beam and works well with my security cameras. The LED floodlights were way too bright for my security cameras so I use CFL lighting. It takes a minute or two for the CFL lights to warm up but they work flawlessly. I will continue to buy this GE product5but cold start up puts out next to nothing until it has about a good minute-or-so to warm upSave your money....thought I was getting a deal until I strolled through a local W.@lmart and found this exact lamp for sale for a hair over 8$ after tax.Who ever this CLOWN is that is selling this item is just trying to make a quick buck by taking a common local store item, making it available for purchase online, and marking the price up.The bulb itself, if you are intent on overpaying for it, gets a 3 1/2 start rating. Decently bright, but cold start up puts out next to nothing until it has about a good minute-or-so to warm up. Not exactly on par with halogens though...noticabily less light output. Cant comment on longevity yet, but so far is has lasted a month of heavy use outside.1They take a few minutes to warm up AND they contain mercury. Oh joy.So, these are supposed to be made for outdoor security lights, right? Here's the problem. They're really dim when they kick on, and they seem to take a good two minutes to heat up to the correct brightness. When they do heat up, they look great- plenty bright. However, the warm up time kind of defeats the purpose for motion detector security lights, which is what Amazon's "People who bought this light also bought these bulbs" algorithm recommended to me.Another problem (which was my mistake for not taking a better look at the ad). These turn up in a search for LED lights. These are NOT LEDs, they're the toxic fluorescent bulbs- the ones that, if they break, you're supposed to actually leave the room for 20 minutes to let the mercury fumes dissipate. I know, these particular bulbs are made for the outside... but still. I'd rather give my money to support the safer (and better) LED technology and let this old florescent technology go the way of the Dodo.On that note, just so people know, you are NOT supposed to just throw these in the trash when they die. They need to be dropped off at a place that has a florescent recycling program. Home Depot will accept them, I believe. Anyway, I'm done buying these types of bulbs- warm up time AND mercury?.... why bother?1Disappointed with this productDisappointed with this product. The online information reads "100"-watt replacement. The package received clearly states "90"-watt replacement. There is a small sticker on the back of the package [appears to be added since I can remove it] that does state 100-watt, but clearly something is amiss as this is not part of the original manufacturer's packaging. Bottom line for me... the bulb is a bit slow coming on (after switching the switch) (delayed) and due to the color of the light (2700K) and the reduced wattage, is not as bright as desired for the areas they were intended. I will not be buying this product again.2Provides enough light over my kitchen sinkI got this lamp to replace the dead lamp above my kitchen sink. It was part of the ceiling lights in the kitchen so I tried to find on of the same type. It is really the same and when I plugged it in it provided enough light for me over the kitchen sink so I don't have to turn on more spotlights. Can't comment about it's lifetime as I just had it for one month now.5and do not usually work well with sensor like dusk onThese are CFL bulbs, and do not usually work well with sensor like dusk on, dawn off., but other than that are reasonably priced compared to standard floods.4
