    Perfect fit This is exactly what I wanted it wasn't broken and it's doing exactly what it's supposed to be doing. I got one at Home Depot the darn thing was all bent up and didn't work at all it was a completely different brand. This once sturdy and it's just perfect thank you so much. I am using mine lengthwise in my son's roomy. If you are a mom you know why my son needs to keep his window open!!. 5Does the job but... Right out of the box one of the screens arrived pulled away from the frame so I applied tape to the side and the frame so no bugs could get through. The screens were really cheap so I guess I get what I paid for, but I needed screens for my windows since the building I live in doesn t provide screens for it s tenants and Home Depot is so far away. I wouldn t really recommend these screens but if you re really desperate and need something immediate and not opposed to using tape to fix the screens then these might work for you. If not, look for something else. 1I can't believe I waited so long to buy this! I moved into my apartment 7 months ago and while it is nearly perfect, the windows are very old and don't have screens. Often I would crack the windows in the spring but I kept getting so many bugs and flies inside. I finally decided to buy a window screen.It was so easy to install and light weight. I just open my window, put the screen between the window grooves then slide the window down to keep the screen in place. There isn't a tight seal but I'm never worried about the screen falling out because the grooves hold it in. I wouldn't push it hard though. The screen is lightweight and probably wouldn't do well if I slammed the window hard down on it.The height is the perfect amount for letting in the air. Not once have I wished it were taller. It keeps most of the bugs out and my dog and I can enjoy the outdoor breezes.If you don't have a window screen, go buy this now. 5Sturdy screen for occasional ventilation My pup tore the screen in the window between my kitchen and my deck. We did not want to replace the screen repeatedly (which would happen because the pup likes to stand up on her hind legs and spy on my through that window), but we did want a way to open the window in spring/fall for ventilation. It's a slightly narrow window and we had a heck of time finding a screen that would fit. This screen lets us open the window from the top for ventilation, while still having glass on the bottom to protect against pup-related damage.The screen is sturdy and well made. It slides easily to adjust to the proper size for my window, but stays put once it is in place. Exactly what we were looking for at a good price. 5Actually 17.5" For the 18 inch by 21 - 37 inch adjustable screen, at least, the screen is actually only 17.5 inches tall. So if your window gap is more than 17.5 inches you will have a space in which bugs can get through like mine did. Also the edge of the screen in the two separate slider parts is just basically shoved into the metal ends and really readily comes out of the metal even if you just lightly poke it. So I would recommend also securing that or once you have the right width in the window and it's all set up, sew the two screen pieces together so that bugs can't get through and it doesn't come apart. Otherwise if it had fit it would have been a great screen so it is a good budget option if it fits your window. 3Poor quality and product label doesn't match actual dimensions If it was simply a matter of incorrectly labeling an item, I wouldn't be harsh reviewing this product because I understand that accidents and mislabeling happens. Unfortunately, the metal screen on this product was sent detached from the frame on one side, on both screens that I purchased, suggesting product quality appears to be consistently poor. While the label says that the dimensions are 18x25-45, it's actually 14x20-36. Needless to say, these items are being returned for refund. What a waste of my time. 1Very Cheap Imitation of the Original VERY disappointed with these. They are quite flimsy. One of them arrived with the screenalready detached. The paper product label cannot be removed without pulling the screenfrom it's meager retainer. The screen itself could not possibly be any thinner, and was notpulled tight on any of the seven units I purchased. These are a very poor imitation of theoriginals, and I should have expected that based on the low price. I hope I can find betterones, because these are going back. 1So far, so good It works like it's supposed to. It's lightweight and seems a little too delicate for my taste, but it hasn't broken. It fits perfectly in my window frame and stays put. I haven't had issues with any bugs coming into my room, which was the whole reason I got it. So it definitely does what it's supposed to do. 4Ahhhhhhh fresh air! We recently rented a house in NC that has no screens in any of the windows. Seriously.... 17 windows in the house and not a single screen. How do you have a house in NC without screens in the windows??? Well anyway,we purchased several of these screens to use now that the weather has cooled off and the a/c has been turned off. They do the job... allow us to get some air into the house and keeping most of the bugs out. The screens just sit in the window and for us, we have some small gaps between the window and screen that have allowed a few of those nasty stink bugs in... but if they've let 2-3 in I'm sure they've kept 20-30 out, so that's not a bad result in my book. 4Good quality I wanted a screen with a wood frame to put in front of my regular screen for extra protection for the kids, and for the cat, who likes to sit on the windowsill. Over time, the regular screen was getting pushed out. I replaced the main screen, but bought this to keep it from getting damaged again. I love it! It fits nicely in the groves behind the window and in front of the regular screen. I can shut my window without taking it out. It glides open nicely, and I love that it's made in the USA.Con: The only think I wish it had was a locking device, so it will stay where you put it. I stretched it open, and I think it would stay in place. Most people probably would probably be fine with it as is, but for me, with the kids, I'd prefer if it could lock in place. I taped it in place so it can't move. 4
