    Iffy purchaseI bought this after my speaker from CCrane broke. It took some adjusting to get used to it since it is larger than my previous speaker but I finally got it fixed to my liking. It is good and loud through my pillow and is the sound is clear. The only complaint I have is that the volume control is too far from the pillow (it has an approx. 6ft cord) and is kind of hard to find at times. This is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I would buy this again.Additional comment 3/24/17 - I bought this in Dec. 2016 and was initially happy with it. As of today's date, though, now only 1 of the 2 speakers work. I haven't misused or mishandled the unit so I don't know why it isn't working after only 3 months. I am going to buy another pillow speaker but I don't know if I will buy another one of these.4WARNING!!! Don't waste your money!!!Total waste of money! Max volume is barely audible with ear pressed against speaker. Tried to return, but there is apparently a "no return" policy. Initially, I bought a more expensive pillow stereo because i loved their reputation, but unfortunately, there was too much static for me. I then researched further and found this wonderful product. No static! And the volume is wonderful ... not too loud, not too low. I love this product...it does feel like stereo quality..NOT BOSE quality, but stereo quality! Can't wait to try it with my iPhone!5BEST!PillowSonic is the best quality of pillow speakers! I use mine every night. I even take it with me traveling. This brand lasts me a couple of years or so. Well made. The advantage of PillowSonic is the two speakers and it doesn't move around under the pillow. The foam rubber cover holds it all in place. I listen to audio books or music or scriptures all night and it helps to drown out the snoring husband. I use a foam ear plug in the exposed ear and when I switch sides I just move the ear plug to the other ear. I never want to be without the pillow speaker!5I liked the previous version a lot more...This is at least my 3rd time ordering one of these and I've enjoyed them for several years. I've always loved them until now, even tho the cables wore out after a time - I guess from them bending a lot. That was ok, as long as I could eventually reorder. But they've altered the original design now. I do like the shorter cable as well as the volume control. (Previous versions did not have these things.)But they increased the thickness of the speakers - perhaps to get better quality and sound - I don't know. (I was fine with the quality before and comfort means more to me.) They used to be a lot thinner, and being a side sleeper I now I feel like I'm sleeping on a rock. I use a soft, shallow pillow and never had the problem previously. I've tried moving them around to find a comfortable position for them, but to no avail. And the foam covering does nothing for me. So... I will now order some different ones that are flatter/ thinner and hope for the best.3Good for the priceI had to place it under the pillow-case on top of the pillow because you can't hear it if it's under the pillow. I have it hooked up directly to my tv. I had to turn the volume all the way up on my tv in order to be able to hear it through the speakers. But even with the foam padding on the speakers, you can still feel the hard bumps of the speakers. But the good thing is you can't hear it a foot away in bed, so it keeps the room quiet so you don't keep anyone else awake, which is why I got it in the first place.4I've tried them all, and this is the one!This is the one!! I've tried them all and this one it is high quality, sturdy and is adjustable so I can clearly hear it but my wife it's not Disturbed by late night listening.All the others broke, didn't hold up under daily use.I really enjoy the stereo affect these two speakers give you. Totally adjustable and worth every penny. Now when I can't sleep I can listen and not disturb my wife, who needs her sleep.5I like it; would suggest adjustments to in-line volume controlI just received this item (tbh I was surprised it took a week to get here as I'm a prime member - but that aside) I'm pleased with it, My previous speakers were not in a pouch so I just placed them under the pillow. They held up til a wire broke; I'm hopeful that putting them in this pouch will lessen the chances of that occurring.I have not had the low volume problem that others have mentioned. I turn the radio up full volume and then adjust from the in-line control. At this point, my only suggestion would be to make the volume control more substantial and to place it closer to the speakers than the radio for easier access.4Shopping for sleep headphones? Do yourself a favor & get this instead.After going through multiple pairs of several different sets of headband style sleep headphones over the last several years, I decided to give the PillowSonic FM15 a try. I use it listen to Audible books with my iPhone a night, and have been very impressed with it. Unlike the headphones, I don't awaken to find myself entangled in wires, which is an obvious benefit. Additionally, the volume control built into the cord allows me to adjust the volume easily & conveniently. The speakers are clear, and the volume is more the sufficient for the narrator's voice to be clearly discernible. I typically have the volume turned up fully on my iPhone and have the PillowSonic's volume control set to around 50%.I prefer to sleep with one thin pillow, and was concerned that the unit would be uncomfortable, but surprisingly it's almost unnoticeable.In short, I'm a big fan & glad I decided to give this a try. It's much better than the sleep headphones ever were.5
