Customer Reviews

Organize Those CD's! I literally have 100's of CD's lying around the house and recently took it upon myself to organize (most of) them ;) I considered those CD storage books/wallets but didn't like the fact that they make alphabetical sorting a nightmare (i.e. making room for one CD on a certain page requires moving 10 pages worth of CD's!). That's where these CD sleeves come in - put your CD"s in these sleeves, then store 'em in a box and access them like old-fashioned library cards. Fellowes even sells a nice 100-disk-capacity stackable box that comes with 25 of these sleeves. These sleeves are double-sided. Each can hold 2 CD's or 1 CD plus a booklet. The width of each sleeve is slightly wider than a std CD, and at the top is a 3/4" tab/flap - very handy for writing/ataching a label and for pulling the sleeve out of a box. The construction appears to be good - not thin, cheap plastic that might easily tear or rip.My only complaint is with the design of the finger-hole used to extract the CD from the sleeve - its in the shape of a keyhole rather than an open "U". This makes it a little difficult to pull out CD's when there are two in the sleeve (you can solve this with a pair of scissors if it bothers you).Overall, these sleeves provide a high-density storage solution at a reasonable cost, especially when you purchase the higher-count package. 4Almost perfect I brought these to help protect the labels for the cubbies & other items around my classroom. (As sticky notes & labels were not working & after a while creates more problems than they are worth.) I'm a toddler teacher and wow are these sleeves durable/easy to remove! My classroom looks very well organized with these helpful sleeves.I have used about 20 of the sleeves for actual children's CD and they work as promise. I just wish they had added more label tags! I mean after all this is a pack of 100 why only add about 20 label tags for the top cover. :( No matter I was D.I.Y to add colored coded tiny stickies so that I know which CD are which. Overall, a good product for CDs or other uses. 4Best choice among several competing vinyl holders. I took all of my CD's out of jewel cases and stashed the CD on once side and the booklet with program notes (the best reason for buying CD's in jewel cases) for space saving storage. The Fellowes was the best of the different brands I tried. More durable, a little more spacious. You can write on the top for filing purposes if you wish to. I have not taken the time and do not know if I will but am very HAPPY with the decision and the results. 5snug fit On the good side, the sleeve material is sturdy. It is easy to slide the label into its pocket in the tab on top of the sleeve... you don't need a black plastic insertion tool like you do with other brands. On the bad side, the fit is just too snug. The CD or DVD will never fall out, but it takes some force to get it in and out. The booklet doesn't fit flat unless you trim about an eighth of an inch off the right side of it. The pictures in the listing make it look like the CD fits loosely and the booklet fits fine... not so. I have upload some photos that I took to show you that the fit is too snug. 3Great solution for minimizing storage I've been wanting to cut down on my storage space for CD and DVD storage for quite some time, but didn't want to go to binders or expensive disc systems. I have 3 beautiful CD cabinets with wicker front drawers for CD storage, and they are full. I have another cabinet for DVD's, which is not only full, but ugly. With these sleeves, I can store all my CDs and DVDs in my lovely CD cabinets, which stand next to each other, making a nice table top for other items. And I have room left over. No, the CD booklets do not fit in the sleeves, unless you cut them down, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I took the insert from the back of the jewel case, cut off the title spine, and inserted that into the title space on the sleeve. It's the same size as the title tabs included with the sleeves, but looks much nicer than my hand written tabs. I cut off the opposite perforated tab from the insert, then folded the remaining piece to put in the sleeve. I'll keep the booklets in a separate drawer in my now roomy CD cabinet. For my DVDs, I removed the insert from the case and again cut off the title spine and inserted that into the title space in the sleeve, trimming the ends to fit. Now I have 2 pieces left, which I can easily store in a drawer if I decide to keep them. Some DVDs also have an insert inside the case, which can be folded or cut down and inserted into the sleeve. I'm making some cardstock alphabetical dividers to further organize my cabinets. All in all, I like this product. It meets my storage needs, and it seems like a durable product. If your local recycling facility won't take the empty CD and DVD cases, you can recycle them via [...] 4Tedious, yes Been using these for years. I would give a five star rating except that there are not enough lables. There are 50 two sided sleeves in the box and there are only 30 lables. It has always been this way. I contacted the company years ago and let them know yet I guess my e-mail was viewed as spam because the request for equal lables for sleeves is still not a reality and I have purchased over 2000 of these sleeves in the past ten years. So I always plan on cutting out tiny little lables out of card stock. Tedious , yes. But the sleeves are the best I have ever used. The cloth fabric prevents dust , scratches and finger prints( if you hold the discs at the edge) they are thin and small and store well in shoebox for maximum storage. The vinyl shell is very durable. Overall a fantastic storage sleeve no more bulky fragile jewel boxes. The sleeves are large enough to hold two cd's and a cd booklet, possibly two if the booklets are not very thick. So if you want to shrink you cd collection down to a few shoeboxes or you burn and collect cdr's. You have found the perfect sleeve. I will continue using these exclusively . 4Best CD/DVD envelopes out there. I've tried more types of CD and DVD storage devices and techniques than I'd care to admit, and these envelopes are the best. The capability of holding more than one disk is great, but the capper is the flap that holds a label (provided) with the disk title. When they're stored in a simple box such as Fellowes' own fake-leather "CD Box" (great, but very hard to find) you can store an INCREDIBLE number of disks in a small space and it's easy to riffle through the titles because you can flip the label flaps easily without removing the envelopes from the box.I challenge anyone to find a more compact method of storing disks! 5Great purchase These sleeves are perfect for storing and organizing my CDs. We have about 500 CDs and had been keeping some in 2 of the huge binders that hold 4 CDs per page, but the pages tear when they are flipped too much. With these sleeves I am able to put a CD on each side and can also put the CD info books in with them as well. I bought a label maker and am able to quickly type the artists name and album and it slides perfectly into the label space on the top. They will definitely protect my CDs a lot better than a huge clunky dirty CD book. 4I love these sleeves for our DVD collection I love these sleeves for our DVD collection. For some reason they have become really hard to find. I am so glad I found them here. We take our DVDs out of their cases and store them in these sleeves alphabetically. We have cardboard boxes that are just the right size to keep the DVDs in. 5These are working beautifully as a space-saving way to store our CDs These are working beautifully as a space-saving way to store our CDs. You put the CD on one side and the booklet on the other side. I tear off the side panels from the CD and use them in the title slots on both sides so no need to write the title out. Good quality. 5
