Customer Reviews

They work after you rig them up. I bought this for some Samsung monitors and 3M arms I already have. The instructions are very general. "Attach all the nuts and bolts." There are several configurations, but the one you can use is largely driven by the monitor size. My biggest complaint is that there is no way to hold the screws in the center with the monitor in place. I could also only use one screw per arm, so they can turn, even though there are as tight as I can make them.To keep the arms from swinging out, I had to wire the bolts at the ends of the arms together. I think that will hold. For what I paid, it's not bad. I will never buy monitors that aren't VESA compliant again. That would save me a lot of trouble. 3I mounted two 27" monitors to my modified sitting-standing computer ... I mounted two 27" monitors to my modified sitting-standing computer desk, using another kit I ordered from Amazon that uses verticalIy-mounted poles attached to the corners of the Desk-top, then slip the pole clamp/arm assembly on, adjust to proper screen height, and screw in to the back of the monitors. One monitor had 4 screw sockets and the other did not. I purchased this EZM Adapter Kit after going to tomshardware.com (advisory site for all things computers) and looking for a fix to one of my monitors not having the attached 4 screw sockets on the back of the monitor. The tomshardware.com site had the link to this very piece of hardware! The biggest part of attaching the kit to the monitor is deciding exactly where you want the 4 arm boots to go on the monitor. For my 27 inch monitor, I set the rubber screen boots about 6" left and right of the center either side of the screen top and bottom. Be sure to pre-assemble the right sized bolts to match the thickness of the monitor (the shorter of the 2 bolts worked for mine) with the metal sleeves on the end of the flat pieces facing the boots. I did all this with the monitor facing down, then picked up each corner to slip the boots under the front edge of the screen. The rest of the job requires inserting the small crews through a washer, then slipping these under the metal slots and matching it up to the one of the 4 holes on the plate, attached to the arm assembly (unless you are attaching it to a separate square plate which will be mounted to another assembly later on. The rest of the job is adjusting and making sure the boots grab enough of its part of the screen not to slip off and that all the bolts are tight enough so the screen does not slip out of the mount and crash on the desk or stand. Also make sure the boots are snug but do not crush the screen from over-tightening. Once it is attached to the monitor holder make small adjustments in positioning, making sure you do not loosen the monitor while making those adjustments. You may have to re-tighten after the monitor settles onto the lower clamps. 5Nothing but terrible quality and hassle Was an extreme hassle to assemble, and was not stable at all. One of my monitors actually fell at one point but, luckily I was there to catch it.The "clips" are way too long and hang over pretty far onto my screen, which covers things up, and also pushes against my screen, making it have discoloration, no matter how tight or loose I make them. Also they scratched the crap out of the back of my monitors because the bars covered up all of my power and display ports, so I had to move them around to compensate for it. But probably the most frustrating thing for me was, the ABSOLUTE CRAP QUALITY SCREWS! It's like someone took a bunch of tin foil, packed it tightly, and made it in the shape of screws. Almost all of the screws got stripped literally almost instantly. And yes, I was using the correct sized bits, and was applying the correct about of pressure. All in all, the overall quality of this, is astonishingly awful. And trust me when I say, I honestly hate giving bad reviews but, this product was just so bad, I had to share my experience and opinion. 1Perfect Solution for my Poorly Designed Monitor I don't know which annoyed me more, the fact that anyone would even make a monitor without a VESA mount or that I didn't notice my monitor of choice wasn't VESA compliant prior to purchase, resulting in the need for a VESA adaptor kit. After researching similar type adapters that ranged from insanely over priced to reasonably priced but flimsy design, I ordered this adapter from EasyMount and crossed my fingers. My HP 22bw monitor has a slightly curved back so I was concerned about fit since they recommend a flat surface. One of the reasons I ordered this adapter was because of the turned up feet at the end of the brackets, which I hoped would cradle my monitor a bit more securely due to that curve.Installation was a breeze, even though I had to fiddle with the bracket positioning and angle of those feet just a bit in order to compensate for my hump backed monitor. Once the adapter was affixed, I was able to attach my monitor to its new home on my dual mount where it has articulated its way through a full range of motion without a slip, wobble or slightest inclination of insecurity. In an ideal world monitors would all have VESA mounts but if I ever find myself in a similar mountless situation...I would gladly purchase this adaptor again. 5Your mileage may vary I bought this to support my LG W2253TQ-PF monitor since it does not have VESA holes on the back (lame). The problem is that LG added a separate clear plastic piece under this monitor for turning it on and off and adjusting the settings. Mounting that monitor on this thing knocked the plastic piece off, and now it's much harder to turn the monitor on and off or adjust the settings.LG really needs to design a better adapter for their non-VESA monitors...and, in general, all monitor manufacturers should stop making monitors without VESA holes for mounting. For this product, the assembly was odd, and the instructions were somewhat unclear. It seems simple enough in theory, but the tricky part is that you don't tighten the screws all the way when attaching this to your VESA arm. 3Does What it Needs to Do 5 stars for function, 3 stars for looks, 4 avg.Used this to mount ASRock Beebox on the back of a monitor without VESA built in. Works as advertised.I was however surprised how heavy and bulky it was. Certainly not the most aesthetically pleasing way to mount a mini PC to a monitor w/o VESA.Its also not easy to install but not impossible either. I did an X style setup and focused on getting the top worked out first, then the bottom and then tighten it all down gradually to get the positioning right. Certainly possible for a single person to do, but I can see it being much easier with another set of hands. If you have a nice monitor lacking VESA and a mini PC, this will get the job done. If however your monitor isnt that great and you can spare the money for a new one you are likely better off buying a better monitor with VESA. So I would recommend it if you really need it. 4No VESA mount on your monitor - No Problem! If you do not have a VESA mount on your monitor/TV this product is the answer. For smaller monitors the arms mount under the bottom edge, so if you have controls there that is something to consider. There are multiple ways to configure the mounting so maybe you can mount it in one of the alternative configurations. FOr me, I don't use the control that the arm is covering.I did this installation by myself and it was easy to do however, in the end it would be beneficial to have an extra set of hands just to hold the monitor in place while you set the screws on the back of the monitor. All in all this is a great product that fixed a user error, i.e. not checking for a VESA mountable monitor when purchasing said monitor. There are some really good videos on YouTube for DIY methods but in the end, for the price and quick shipping, this product is the tops. 5Meh So, these do what they're supposed to, I guess -- but I bought them to put on one of the newer samsung 4K monitors, and no matter how you arranged them, they were insanely hard to put on, and then covered all of the ports (samsung brilliantly placed them right in the center of the back of the monitor). It's not their fault that Samsung decided that monitors don't need VESA mounts (protip: they actually do, or they at least need adjustable height), but what worked far, far better for me was some 3M VHB tape (this is the industrial stuff they mount windows in skyscrapers with). I just roughed up a spot on the back of the monitor and adhered the VESA mounting plate. The tape was $18 and is good for something like 300PSI for longer than I'll have this monitor. 3Worked fine on HP curved-back monitor I hesitated to buy this because a couple of the reviews said that it would not work with a curved-back monitor. I have an 27" HP monitor with a moderately-curved back and had no trouble at all with it. One very minor complaint is that the top of my monitor is only 15mm thick, so the arms don't clamp tightly. 4Takes Effort, gets the job done. This is pretty simple to put together, its just a little tough to get it exactly how you want it. It also was a bit hard to keep the monitor inside the clamps before I had it set on my rig but once it was on it was good.I saw a lot of people recommend some heavy duty tape instead of these but I decided to go with them. My monitor was a little fat in the lower back center so I had to make my top clamps much tighter than the bottom ones. This made it a bit tough to get it all tightened nice because the monitor kept slipping out as I held it. You don't need to make it extremely tight, just deal with the slipping until you get every arm where you need it and are ready to mount. Not a big issue on their end, but just wanted to note that since the top of my monitor is much thinner towards the screen than the bottom I had to slide the clamps up just a little so they are still holding the monitor but not blocking the screen. Like I said, just the bottom needs to be super secure, the top is fine as long as it is tight and somewhat over the monitor.I would give this a higher rating if it had not given me such a pain putting it together. It also made adjusting the monitor on my VESA mount a pain as I was so worried every time I adjusted it that it'd slip. Not to say it isn't worth the money. It's fairly cheap so I didn't expect some high end adapter. Tape is still cheaper but its up to you. This will work if you buy it and are somewhat patient. 3
