    Excellent! The best knife sharpener there is in my humble opinion. 5It is a replacement for my 29 year old model ... It is a replacement for my 29 year old model that finally just got too smooth, so I made it my finishing steel. 5It actually seems to dull my knife instead of sharpening it This one is quite rougher than my last one. It actually seems to dull my knife instead of sharpening it. Maybe it will get better with time. I use a professional steel to remove burrs afterwards. Not sure what the problem is. 4A must for keeping your knives super sharp. This is a replacement steel for an old one that was not a diamond steel. I've heard about the sharpening quality of the diamond steels and was not disappointed at all. It exceeded my expectations. A few swipes on a reasonably sharp blade and you can almost shave with it. The price is also much lower then some of the "French" steels, that in my opinion aren't as good. 5Excellent!! Sharpening Steel I have had other steels in the past for sharpening and I guess they were ok.This one I really like because it does an excellent job. I keep in a case with my other 4 fillet & 2 boning knives.As an avid fisherman I clean A LOT of fish sometime 100 -150+ after an outing 1000+ over the year.So it s very important that I keep my fillet knives nice and sharp through the process.After a 3-4 fish I whip the blade clean and swipe a couple times on the steel to bring back the edge.A sharp fillet knife will cut you r time in half. 5Best knife sharpener I have had one for 30 years and just bought a new one. The old one still works but not as nice as the new one. Even the old one is better than a steel or ceramic sharpener. The new one only requires 2 or three strokes to super sharpen a large knife 5Useful Gives blades a final finish and works on inside curves 5Great tool This is going to be roughly twice the size of the smaller brass handled version i usually buy, and it's cheaper too! The increased length is helpful any number of ways, it's just a no brainer in terms of value. Buy two! 5I've used sharpening steels for years and this is the worst! My knife edges keep getting hung up on this darn thing. I've used sharpening steels for years and this is the worst! 2EZE-LAP G This is what I had expected and wanted:I use it to maintain a sharp edge on ALL my knives, be they woodsman knives or cheaper kitchen knives.This falls somewhere in between using a decent quality sharpening stone and stropping [proper], It's not quite either.Easy & no fuss touch ups to a 20-30 degree bevel type knife. 5
