    Five Stars This is real good but I should have bought the 3x8 version. 5sharp Just recently gotmy hubsand seems to really like itonce he got the new wore offits nuce to have sharp knives again 5Great way to sharpen. Awesome sharpener. Works as advertised. I like the fact that it is 2 sided and you can just flip it over from one grit to the other. 4good quality Few days practise on several knives,I got them razor sharp ,even on one crappy dollar store knife.but if you want a mirror result, probably need another 8000 grit diamond stone. 5This has held up better than my extra coarse DMT stone This has held up better than my extra coarse DMT stone. Diamond stones are way better than any kind of whetstone that wears down when you use it. In fact, if you're determined to use a Japanese whetstone, you'll need a diamond stone to keep it flat. 5Good for camping This is the one I bring car-camping, if not hiking. Unlike a whetstone, it doesn't need any water or oil, and it won't chip like a whetstone.For backpacking, I might bring the credit card sized version to save on weight, but I haven't gotten one yet so I don't know how long that would hold up. As long as you keep this wrapped in a cloth and keep it dry, this one looks like it might survive a war.I have the 3x8" version as well. While that one is nice, I don't think it's very necessary for most purposes, especially if you'll be carrying it. 5Five Stars Great stone to get the right edge on those old knives - the rubber mat works good as well. 5Best sharpening stone you can buy Best sharpening stone you can buy. Sure, it costs a bit more, but better have one good one good tool than ten crappy ones. 5Great sharpner This sharpener is very easy to use, safe and you can put on a razors edge.
