Great camera The people on here that said the picture quality is not good obviously are uneducated about surveillance systems. Picture quality is bases on many different things, ex. DVR settings, DVR quality, connection, monitor, form of cable to monitor (VGA, HDMI, COAX) also the camera itself has focus and zoom settings.My business partner and I install EvertechUSA products and so far they have all been great quality products. I just ordered this 1000TVL dome for inside my house and it is very clear and the night vision is way better than all my other cameras, I will slowly be replacing my other cameras with these 1000TVL domes. 5Keep looking This was ordered to be the seventh camera in my expanding security system (8 Channel DVR). At first look it does seem well made but was found to be functionally useless once tested. The focus and zoom screws next to the lens do not work properly, if at all. The focus adjustment range never allows anything to be viewed clearly at any focal point. Well, unless you are within 5 inches of the lens... The zoom adjustment screw barely does anything noticeable. The zoom adjustment in the OCD does work but like I said, you cannot get anything in focus and this zoom option only makes that problem worse, total blur at all available focus adjustment options . So, having a problem, I start trying to review the instructions which I now find are in such broken English half the manual is not even intelligible. This is clearly a cut corner product that looks pretty on the outside. I find it had to believe any real Q/A could be in place when you allow an instruction manual with that may mistakes to go out the door.I don't normally write reviews but this was such a failure of a purchase I wanted to share my experience and hopefully save you the headache. Although affordable, this product lead to nothing but aggravation and wasted time. Keep looking. 1Great Quality - Buy this Camera! I've had a self-installed cctv system in my house for the past 5 years, first starting out with an off the shelf Swann system, then mix-and-matching Swann and Zmodo components, and now I'm using a custom build DVR and have been trying out a multitude of cameras to find the best.This camera wins, hands down. I bought one for trial but have already bought 4 more.The build quality is excellent. Solid, white metal with nice understated styling. It feels quality in your hand - nothing is wobbly or feels cheap.Plenty of mounting options - in most locations I've run the cctv cable through the drywall and out behind the camera, so it mounts flush and seamless with the ceiling - no wires showing. In other cases where that wasn't possible, there are cut-outs on the mounting ring to pass the cable through.Camera swivels within the mounting bracket - huge variety of angles are possible, as is mounting horizontally (as in, on a ceiling) or vertically (on a wall).Picture quality is fantastic. An order of magnitude better than a bundled Swann or Zmodo camera. I was amazed when I first plugged it in, and am still impressed each time I compare to my other cameras.The OSD menu provides a ton of choices, but even on defaults the picture is flawless.There is an externally accessible mechanical focus screw which I've used on one occasion - it's very sensitive and doesn't require much alteration. I have not tried the similar screw to adjust zoom.So far, all my units are mounted inside. The manual says to keep away from water and moisture, which conflicts with the amazon listing. I am going to mount one outside to see what happens, but am also going to run some silicone caulk round the joins in the body and where the cable enters the unit. Florida weather will be the ultimate test!I cannot comment on durability over time, as I have had these units for less than a month, but will update my review if anything changes. 5This camera is one of the best I have installed in many years This camera is one of the best I have installed in many years. I bought two at first to try them out and was so impressed I bought two more a few days later. I attached two pictures captured at night, you can see the distance is really good using light from the camera and street lights only. The moon rises later tonight. 5Good Camera; Great Customer Service This is a good quality camera. That said, they are not immune to problems associated with most electronic equipment, hence the need for good return policy. Only needed one for the job but decided to buy another just in case. Glad I did as the first one was having problems with lack of color under ambient lighting conditions. 2nd camera worked fine and had good color under same lighting as seen in pics. Although I have a high degree of confidence in Evertech products and company return policy, will continue to buy at least one extra item any time I'm ordering any product for any job, especially if doing so saves me time, gas and money. BTW, first camera was returned with credit applied promptly. Again, this is a very good quality camera with a very clear image/resolution for this price point. Would/will definitely buy again. 5NOPE! I have been upgrading my old cameras with newer 1/3 eyeball cameras around 1200 TVL and had some good luck with past purchases but this is not one of them. The focus and zoom screws only put this camera more out of focus. It doesn't appear to be 1200 TVL and is blurry. Adjustment screws don't do much to change that. Zoom screw does not zoom. Wasn't going to bother to send it back but the night view is even worse and not useable at all. I guess it's hit or miss until you find a good one. Sending back. 1The Ultimate Stationary Camera--Updated November 17, 2016 Excellent Product! I recently purchased three of these cameras and began installing them as addition, and WOW! They are absolutely remarkable! They are so good, that they will be replacing all the original cameras that came with the 16 camera HD system. In both daylight and nighttime (infrared) modes, the picture quality is crystal clear. Just to make a point, during the installation, I left the plastic film in place until I completed all adjustments, My wife yelled out, "baby, this is awesome!" When I told her that the film was still on the lens, she yelled out "DAMN!" (She gave me a good laugh)! I certainly love these cameras--for one-the price; two-functionality; and three-the manufacture. It is a well made product and right now I am happy with it. The installation/user's guide is quite hilarious (obviously written in China where the product was made). As a new product, I cannot comment on its durability/shelf life, but I have no issues with giving this camera five stars. Get it while they are available.Update--November 17, 2016.Now that I've been using this product for almost a year, I still stand by my previous statement. The image quality is still absolutely amazing. I am adding more to replace the ones that came with the original kit. I am also looking for a complimentary Evertech pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) camera to add to my system. For anyone reading this post, please let me know if you come across the PTZ cam, please let me know via a response to this posting. Thank you. 5Works better than advertised! Color night vision! Excellent video quality! I upgraded a client who had 720p swann dvr. These cams are multi equipment compatible. I set this cam to work with the swann TVI 720p. In side to side screen viewing these 960p cams are much clearer. The manual zoom and focus are great that you mount the cam in the final position first then adjust. This cam has several options including color night vision! 5Excellent performer I have e used these cameras in several different installs in several climates(both high heat and severe cold) with fantastic results. Each camera has performed flawlessly and continues to perform as promised. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a quality camera at a great price. The staff at Evertech in NJ were extremely helpful and very responsive to emails and being in the US is helpful if you need service or replacement parts. I will be using these cameras again in the future. 5Good camera for the money, but be aware of QC issues I purchased five of these cameras and they have been up for about a week now. I debated between three or four stars because of the five I ordered as "new", one of them was obviously used, returned, had signs of wear and defective. Another review had a similar experience. I went with four stars just based on the camera performance and not the DOA issue I had with one of them. I replace my two year old Swann cameras with these and for the money, they are a good buy.Pros:+ Good, sharp wide angle image+ Low light, night IR image is good+ Focus and zoom controls work well+ Solid feel and appears well built+ Good length of cable+ Appears to be sealed very well against weather / moistureCons:- Had a hard time getting the pieces apart to mount- Not easy to precisely position the camera with the ball style mount- Hard to read the OSD menu- Would be nice if it came in black, my house is a dark color and these really stand out from a color perspective- No lens hood to protect against direct sunlight when the sun is low on the horizon early or late day- Included mounting screws easily stripped, had to use alternate screws to mount housing 4
