    I am a special education teacher and these are great for students to use to help concentrate I am a special education teacher and these are great for students to use to help concentrate. I have other "head phones" but these are a much higher quality. They are foldable so they take up less space in the classroom. 5Got the wrong color This is probably nothing to do with the quality of the headphones, but I ordered the plain, pretty blue ones for my little girl's birthday and I got blue camouflage. She's a sweet girl and will say thanks and use them either way, but I was pretty disappointed when I opened the box. With Amazon's fast shipping I would probably be okay to try again, but I'm not even sure there is a plain blue one, since blue camo wasn't even an option when I was first choosing. So sad. 3They're cheap FOR A REASON. They cute and cheap fit the wife well, but after 2 months of limited use (mowing the lawn) the head band split in the middle (ref pic). You get what you pay for.As far as the muffs - the interior foam looks to be sufficiently thick and is cut to completely fill the ear cup (some models may have foam cut a but small). The cup/shell material is a hard plastic with a raised grid in the center area - not sure why this isn't done for the interior as a whole as you'd think a grid of air pockets would help to attenuate a small percentage of sound traveling through the plastic outer shell to the foam. The rubber liner that seals around your ear feels a bit lacking as far as material inside the rubber gasket. Sound seems to creep in through it more readily that the cup itself. 1Great Great for the price! I should have ordered two! Good for mowing, blowing, sanding etc. or for use in the yard when others are doing noisy projects. Easy to adjust, reasonably comfortable, nice color selection, and compact when not in use. Just what is expected from this type of item. Does a great job at blocking noises like the vacuum and such when you have a migraine too. 5ineffective sad to say this product did not work for me at all. It is light, compact, easily fordable, fairly attractive, but not at all effective in silencing general noise. With muffs on, I can still hear tv at low volume, still hear neighbors cutting grass, etc, so it is completely ineffective for me. So the fact that it is light weight, attractive and highly affordable, under these situations is fairly irrelevant 2Junk for sale Wore one time to Monster jam and twice after and not certain if the plastic was old but broke right in the center. Every time I would put them on they would do a low popping noise, now I know why. Perfect if you need something to only last once or twice but def not multiple times. Junk! The tension on the muffs together is what actually broke them, these were not misused in the slightest. 1Broken after less than 10 months Inexpensive & work well at decreasing sound volume - but they break very easily. I was only using them indoors (so temperature controlled environment) while running my blender (making smoothies etc so less than 5 minutes, not every day) & it took less than 10 months before the plastic snapped when I was putting them on. 2Awesome for Misophonia sufferers I have Misophonia and the sound of people chewing makes me irriationally angry. I wear these during dinner at home to stifle my husband s ungodly loud chewing. It s a little difficult to hear the conversation, but I no longer want to rip my skin off during dinner. They are comfortable and fit a normal adult sized head. 5Love them so far So cozy!! Fit great, I can't wait to use them.Update 3.5.18 - after using them almost everyday they have broken, they had a good run for the price! 5broke after about half a year of light use These ear protectors are made entirely of hard plastic, except the ear cushion and the acoustical foam inside. Because of the hardness of materials, they are quite ringy when you accidentally bang them into something while wearing them. The rated 23dB of sound attenuation is more than enough for most work around the house. Prices sometimes vary widely by color - I chose purple when it was half the price of the others.These have an overall hard, heavy-duty feel, including the ear padding, but still these are nicely comfortable once you adjust the headband length. You can let these earmuffs hang down over your neck when not in use, but it constricts/presses on my neck more than others, so you might need to remove them when not in use. They fold up to a small size for traveling & storage. The purple I got is a nice bright color - hard to misplace.UPDATE: even since new, the headband would make faint cracking sounds, and develop hairline cracks every time I expanded the earmuffs to put it on. The headband finally broke in half after approx half a year. Same as others have experienced. I always used these earmuffs gently, never pulled them apart forcefully, only enough to fit them on. It seems to be due to an inexcusably dumb choice of a hard, brittle plastic. Disappointing because I loved these hearing protectors while they lasted. 1
