    old fob worked fine just needed a new case.current adt fob broke. actually the little clip broke so it could no longer go on a key chain. rather than spend the big bucks for adt to replace it, i ordered it here. my brother who happens to be an electrician took out the electrical panel of the old one and replaced it into the new one. he did have to do it a few times. the batteries in the new one were placed in upside down. he figures they may have done that on purpose to not wear out the batteries or to confuse someone who didn't know what they're doing. after he fixed the batteries it worked like a charm :) 5Don't let your alarm company steal from you!Don't let your alarm company steal your money....If your fob broke at the key ring such as mine did, don't be a chump and let the alarm company charge you $200 for a replacement. Pony up a few bucks for this and change it out your self. Programming too hard? Don't worry about it, if the internals of your broken fob is OK, all you'll need is a coin and a small screwdriver (like for glasses). Use the coin in the notch on the fob and twist it open...Then remove one small screw from the middle. Now you PCB board is free. Do this to the other fob and swap the guts out. Screw in one small screw and snap together the halves. Done! There I just saved you over $150 from those greedy pigs at the alarm company. 4 stars? Yes, I would rather have spent half on this as I did since I wont be using the electronics...But still, much better than the alternative. 4New in package, ADT refuses to give installer code ...New in package, ADT refuses to give installer code to program it with my system, they charged $95 to send out a tech to do it in 3 min. 5Not As Advertised!I am returning this! The item pictured is nothing like what I received. I've never seen an alarm fob with Roman Numeral Numbers on it before. The box had the correct picture but the actual item was not as advertised. Totally disappointed and wish I could give less than a one star rating. 1Easy as can be, and costs 1/3 what ADT wanted for one.Works like a champ....took about 30 seconds to get working with my ADT IMPASSE system....here are the directions.The process for quick enrolling a wireless key:*8 [installer code] 898"Wireless Enrollment Mode" will displayon the wireless keyfob press any button for about 3 secThe serial number should display press * to acceptIt will display the next available slot number. Press * to accept.Press # until you exit programming.You will need your installer code. If you don't have it, call ADTand ask them for it. They gave me about 10 different ones to try and the 5th one worked. 5Product did not come with the key pad indicated in ...Product did not come with the key pad indicated in the picture. Ket pad pictured is easier for my mom to remember how to use. Key pad sent is a cheeper 1-2-3-4 type. Would not have ordered if I had known. 2work with ADT and WAY cheaperthese little things work GREAT! ADT only gave us 2 fobs and we wanted more for our other vehicles key rings as well as one for my mother-in-law who is staying with us. ADT wanted close to $100 PER FOB! these are super easy to program thanks to the instructions another buyer posted. 5How to install:ADT wouldn't give me my installer code, and they also said that their technician won't program a fob not bought from them. Their charge was $125 for the first 1/2 hour of service, plus at least $80- $100 for a new fob. After some trial and error I figured out that my installer code is the LAST FOUR DIGITS of my monitoring agreement account. I need to program one more fob, and will call ADT while doing it to make sure the alarm isn't tripped. I'll update my review. 5Easy to install using previous reviewer's directionsTook me less than 20 seconds to connect this key fob to my ADT system. My installer code is 6321. I'd say to try this code, and if it doesn't work then call ADT. 5Save yourself $$$Used for ADT. It worked! ADT was charging me $150. 5
