Customer Reviews

Tiny head, many useless spray optionsThere's just a whole lot to not like about this shower head. I bought it on the advice of some online reviews rating this as one of the best "rainfall" showerheads with a removable handheld. This is far from a rainfall showerhead, as the jets are roughly 4 inches wide. My second gripe is the plethora of useless settings you get. There are 12 different settings for this shower head, I only understand why you'd want 2 of them. The rest are weak or leave huge gaps in the water stream that are useless for actual use in the shower. All this being said I bought this to cure the weak flow of our previous showerhead, because the vinegar trick no longer worked to restore pressure, and once I removed the flow restrictor it did give good pressure. We bought a WaterPik showerhead from Costco for half the price of this one for our guest bathroom and it works just as good if not better. If this one ever fails I know what I'll be replacing it with, and it won't be another Delta3Here's how to remove that blasted flow restrictor and enjoy the best shower head ever!First I have to give a big THANK YOU to the previous reviewer who shared how he removed the flow restrictor from this unit. Inside the place where the unit screws to your wall pipe you first remove the washer with screen and set aside, then take a long wood screw and screw it into one of the little holes of the flow restrictor which is below the washer, then take a pair of pliers and yank that sucker out! Put the washer with screen back in, install the unit using some pipe tape and you're in business. This is the best shower head I've ever had. I absolutely love it! The settings are great and the handheld is easy to remove and replace. I hate being cold when I shower and I love this because while using the handheld part I still get the additional warmth of the water coming from the main unit.5This product contains leadI purchased this product in January of 2018 and installed it in my children s bathroom. Fast forward to now (Sep) and I wanted to purchase another one for our bathroom. To my surprise, the manufacturer did not ship to California due to our states strict laws against products that contain Lead.1Well designed shower head When I received it it was in a white box and the shower head itself was wrapped in a white cloth. I was worried it had been used previously, since it looked like what another reviewer had described. But up in further inspection, it appeared to be perfect! After reading other reviews, I figured I should go ahead and take the water restrictor out. I tried, and I tried and I tried, but that thing was not coming out (and I'm pretty sure I was close to breaking the whole thing) so I decided to leave it in.It was so easy to install! Probably the easiest shower head installation I have ever done! I was apprehensive about the water pressure, since I couldn't get the restrictor out, but to my surprise (and relief) it was fine! I turned it on, ram through all settings, no leaks and good pressure! In my opinion, this is a great, well designed shower head, and I really did a lot of research and review reading before purchasing. If you have poor water pressure to start with, you're going to have poor water pressure no matter what shower head you buy. My water pressure was and still is just fine, without removing the restrictor! I reccomend this product!5A faucet that can t be cleaned!Pic shows Delta after 1 month in our shower. Called Deltafaucet for lifetime warranty and the accusation was we cleaned it incorrectly. Was sent replacement hose only, no refund. I m afraid to reinstall with new hose as it will just repeat. Throwing the whole thing in trash. No more Delta products for us. $75 down the drain!1Can be decent showerhead with a little workI thought I'd upgrade my showerhead to something a little nicer. Was really disappointed with the low pressure, especially with all jets open.I found a green water restrictor on the base of the shower head where it connects to the shower arm. If you carefully remove the washer and screen, you can see it. Easiest way to remove it outs to unscrew the big silver nut that connects it to the shower head. You can then poke it out from the opposite end. Also if you unscrew the handheld wand from the hose, you'll see a smaller water restrictor with an orange ring. Easiest way to get this out is worth a small awl with a slight curve. This tool sorta resembles the pick the dentist uses to scrape plaque off your nasty yellow teeth. The key here is to try to pull the restrictor out towards you. Should be easy. After that, you'll notice another water restrictor identical to the one you just removed. Again, use your awl to pull it out.Reassemble and water pressure seemed about 30% stronger. At this point, you should be able to utilise all jets and settings with the exception of using the massage get in conjunction with any other jets. The massage jet really is only effective when used alone3Love!Love this shower head! We had it in our old house and when we moved I insisted we replace all the shower heads with this one. The other ones were $30 cheap ones from target that were stiff and just plain awful. I have three little ones so I needed a good quality shower head that has the removable sprayer to wash their hair. The hose is super flexible and long so there is no trouble moving around. I also love the spray setting so it can be a soft flow or a strong flow. Do NOT hesitate on buying this shower head! It is worth the money for sure! Oh, and it was SO easy to install. I am a housewife who is far from handy and I could install it within 10 minutes5A lack of water pressure for my taste.Like most people, I like water pressure while showering. I was using a basic Speakman shower head with the water restrictor removed but decided to switch to a hand shower. The water pressure on this handheld shower is much less than my Speakman even after I removed two water restrictors on this unit. I'm wondering now if there's another restrictor that I missed but I've read that shower heads are now being designed to lower water flow. So maybe this is as good as it gets. I also found that plastic parts are a little soft. When trying to screw the hose onto the shower head, I didn't realize that I hadn't lined it up exactly and started to screw. Just by doing that, I actually started to strip some of the plastic threads on the shower head. There are some positives. I think the unit is good looking. A switch at the top allows you to toggle between water spraying from shower head, the handheld shower head, or both. (Note - I find that switching water to flow only from the handheld shower head increases water pressure a bit.) Another switch on the handheld shower head allows you to change between spray and massage. However, I don't find the massage mode to be effective at all given the lack of water pressure. I'd probably buy a different shower head if I could do it all over again because of the lack of water pressure.Water Restrictors - For those looking to find the water restrictors, I found one at the base of the shower head. Carefully remove the rubber washer and screen (you'll need to put them back in) and you'll find a green plastic restrictor. I tried to pull it out with needle nose pliers but couldn't. The restrictor is located in a collar. So I unscrewed the other end and was able to poke out the restrictor with a screwdriver. The second restrictor that I found was in the base of the handheld shower head. I was able to remove it by sticking in a screwdriver and prying it out.2The American equivalent of a hand-held bidet - stylish and functional!Love the spray, plenty of force at 2.5 gpm even across the entire 5.5 face. The hand piece slides in and out easily, like an old wall mounted phone, and stays on securely. The hose is very pliable and is sufficiently long to reach around our entire shower stall and all body parts. It looks sharp with chrome and a very dark gray face which matches our shower perfectly. The entire head is on a ball swivel joint so you can aim the shower head easily and even easier by using the handle. The sprays are all good, you can select entire face, just the hand-held wedge or the outer rim of the face, but the massage feature is just ok. But I bought it to get clean and to clean the sides of the shower. Mission accomplished! A great purchase.5If you have a small shower...Our master bath shower is a tiny 33x33. We recently bought a new shower head, Delta Faucet 4-Spray In2ition 2-in-1 Dual Hand Held Shower Head with Hose, Chrome 58467, which we love. It is on a swivel ball, but the long handle hit the wall behind it, so it would not swivel downward enough. Our hack was a longer 8 pipe, Moen 123815 Showering Accessories-Basic 8-Inch Shower Arm, Chrome, and the shower head tilted down as intended, but the water was still spraying the opposite wall see photo. It was hard to get far enough out of the spray to be able to lather up. Our next hack was the KES Shower Head Swivel Ball Adapter - Brass Ball Joint Adjustable Shower Arm Connector Universal Showering Component Polished Chrome, PSB100.Success! The combined shower head swivel and second swivel ball allow the water to spray downward. My husband was able to install all these items with a minimal amount of swearing. I made him read all the amazingly helpful comments first .5Great shower head. Here's a tip to remove the restrictor. If you want to remove the flow restrictor, take out the washer and the screen where you attach the handle to the shower head. Under this is a green piece that is the flow restrictor. I couldn't figure how to get it out until I came up with the idea of screwing a wood screw into one of the holes and then just using that to pull it out. Worked like a charm! 5After much research, this was the perfect buy--REVIEW My old shower head of 10 years decided to stop adjusting up and down so it was time to get a new one. This is my first "aftermarket" shower head purchase. Just like all products I buy these days, I typed "top Shower Heads" into google. Unfortunately It didn't yield me much to reference later. So I then immediately came to Amazon and searched "showerhead" and started looking through the list. I first realized I needed to decide what kind I wanted. Multifunction head, handheld, or rainfall seemed to be the most common types. I stumbled upon the Delta 75480 In2ition shower head and loved the design and function (this handheld WILL NOT FALL out of head), but I had read in some other reviews of different handhelds, that it would be wise to have a metal hose. That's where I found the Delta Faucet 58467, the same In2ition design but with Delta's amazing, flexible, 5-foot, stainless steel hose. Amazon lists the 75480 with plastic hose for $42.00 new or $40.00 used. Amazon lists the 58467 with stainless steel hose for $86.00 new and only $53.00 used. $86.00 is a bit steep I think, considering its half price to go with the plastic option. But I went with the used stainless option for $53.00 and it came in its original packaging and looked to be a brand new item. I could not find a single flaw. Best shower head deal on Amazon in my opinion.Set-up: Set-up was pretty easy. I wanted to test the seals on the head so I set it up just the way they say, didn't remove the flow-restrictor or use teflon tape. I noticed that on certain settings, it would leak slightly at the connections. So I used teflon tape and it fixed all the leaks. This head does not leak anywhere with the tape on. It fit right onto my existing shower arm and was operating within minutes. I have quite a small shower and this unit fits right in (I am 5'10).The shower head unit has 2 settings. Either operating by itself or operating at the same time as the handheld unit. It is a standard shower spray on the head. The handheld unit has four settings: shower spray, spray/jet combo (lower pressure so its more a "waterfall" flow), jet, and trickle. The water pressure at my house is what I would consider average. When using the handheld and head at the same time, the flow seems to be quite adequate for me. No problems. I really like the handheld unit for its functionality. It fits right into the head (DO NOT FORCE IT DOWN, be gentle and you can feel it snug into place), and when showering suds off, all I do is aim at where I want, there is little to no movement on my part. Plus, the handheld unit looks as if it is perfectly designed to spray one's underside area, so that's quite amusing. My only con is that, as others have stated, aside from the extremely high quality cord, the unit is mostly plastic. DO NOT BUY any of the models that are oil rubbed bronze, or venetian whatever finishes. THEY ARE ALL PLASTIC. Read the other reviews. Why pay $178 for spray painted plastic when you can get the same thing in chrome, in perfect condition from Amazon Used for $53. The only difference is the color!Tip: If you want to check the seals on the unit, turn on just the handheld and switch it to option 4 (trickle). It backs the water up and if there are any leaks, you will see them.Tip 2: DO NOT GET the round or square variants of the In2ition, the handheld unit will fall out and potentially break. As I have stated here, the wedge design of this unit keeps it snugly in place. I am confident it will never fall out by mistake.Tip 3: I have read in other reviews that it is a good idea to drain the handheld unit after use. Just make sure you have both the handheld and shower head nozzles on when you turn off the water, then tilt the shower head down as far as it will go (be reasonable) and take the handheld unit off and hold it down at the floor of the tub so the water can drain down out of the hose. Give it a couple shakes and your done. I hope this will help the internal parts to work longer and not build up as many deposits.Couple weeks in and still loving it, will update in a few months or if any problems arise... 5Overpriced, poor build quality Things to know about this shower head:1. Very poor build quality - plastic almost everything; housing, connectors, ... It shouldn't be so chintzy for $80. The only metal piece, the hose end, actually chipped during hand-tightening. The little levers which change the spray mode are cheap plastic that will inevitably break.2. I was interested in the dual design, as I'm sure many are: having the middle detachable part being used while the outer sections keep rainfall-type spray. But the outer sections barely had any pressure, so they are always just dribbling water, nowhere near the pressure of the center portion. And I tried it with and without the flow restrictor, no difference for this problem.3. Because of the design, where the handle hangs below the wall connection, you will not be able to use most hanging shower baskets. So I returned it: it's really a joke considering the $80 price tag and the Delta brand. My advice - go to your local big-box hardware store where you can hold it in your hand and feel whether it's built well. 2
