    Put together like a panzer Put together like a panzer, unfortunately has nothing for an additional feature doesn t cut the nozzle on the caulking doesn t have any kind of poking device and it won t quit running even when you hit the rear brake you have to pull back on the shaft to release pressure from the caulking tube by that time you ve got a mess. What do you think I think about it ? Do I have to say !!! 3No poker or cutter Use it all the time for work. Good gun, a little heavy. I hate not having a poker on it. I notice with urethane caulks the squeezing handle will stick to the stationary handle. Can be a little annoying. Good gun, should last until I meet the head carpenter. 4Works amazing. Works so good you have to be carefull not to over do it and blow up the tube like i did. I was using a tube of master builder caulk (really thick stuff)it was impossible to squeeze it out with the cheap o caulk guns. even with both hands. I was using this one and notice it was working. only it was coming out slow. I over did it real easy and the tube blew up. Since its so thick it comes out slow.be warned. 5Built like a tank This caulk gun is built like a tank. I don't use caulk guns too often, but nevertheless I've seen more than one fail under normal use, if normal use is a real thing. The length of the gun is 16 or 17 gauge steel with ABS support bands. A double layer of 12 gauge steel supports the business end of the canister. The handle parts are cast, including a lovely "MADE IN ENGLAND". The ratcheting mechanism is made of machined parts.If you get one be sure to lubricate the pivot points before use (there is a tag on the plunger rod indicating where to lubricate and how often). It cuts down on noise and likely improves durability.The action is very smooth, especially when properly lubricated. The 26:1 mechanical advantage is nice to have, but comes at the cost of speed. COX also makes models with less mechanical advantage. 5By far the nicest caulking gun I've ever used. I had read others' reviews about this prior to the purchase and really doubted that a caulking gun could be a pleasure to use, but wow, this thing is so robust and well made from top to bottom. I will say if there is any downside, it's that the weight is slightly hefty. But, don't focus on that gripe too much. The high quality and strength of the design more than makes up for any added weight. 5If you're doing any kind of remodeling or work that involves caulk you won't be disappointed. I only wish I would have purchased this ... If you've tried to apply polyurethanes with an ordinary caulk gun you know how difficult it can be. I literally broke a cheaper gun trying to apply some poly concrete crack sealer and even when fixed it still took two hands to barely get it out of the tube. Applying an 8ft line took me about fifteen minutes. I gave up half way through the tube and ordered this gun. Once it got here i hurried back to the garage to try the same tube and honestly the difference is unbelievable. I applied another 8 foot section in about 45 seconds with just my thumb and index finger on the trigger. If you're doing any kind of remodeling or work that involves caulk you won't be disappointed. I only wish I would have purchased this sooner. 5Tip reduces tube blowouts As described, very high leverage indeed. All the qualities you would hope for in a professional caulk gun.Most notable quality:The tip of the gun, which gets all the pressure from the tube, is not only sturdier than I am used to but it also does not have any lip to hold the tube in place (because the plastic holders in the middle do that job) so it is much easier to insert and remove tubes. The sturdiness of the tip also prevents uneven pressure that cause non-plastic tubes to split apart. 5It s almost fun to use It s almost fun to use. With all the power it provides you can spend your energy working with your technique instead of fighting against your gun. It doesn t have a great suck-back mechanism, however so you kind of have to manually pull back the rod to stop the afterflow. 4COX 41004-2T Ascot Caulking Gun This is a real smooth caulking gun. The thrust ratio provided by this gun is definitely noticeable when your dispensing the product of your choice. I recently repaired a gutter leak using this gun to apply the gutter sealant and did not have any problems whatsoever during the repair process. The caulking gun barrel can actually rotate, in order to allow you to re-position your tip on the caulking tube without constantly having to rotate your hands into different positions while you work. Be prepared though to open your tube of caulk with an alternate puncture tool, as this gun does not have a built in puncture tool. 5Best caulk gun ever. I am very pleased with this caulk gun. Provides great leverage (26:1) on the pistol grip handle which allows for great flow control of caulk, glue, etc. and my hand does not get tired when using for a long period of time. The pistol grip lever also is smooth and not jerky. It also holds the tube in securely so it doesn't force the tube out when the pressure gets high. The part of the gun that hold the tube rotates making it easier to control the position of the caulk tube tip.This caulk gun is made to last many lifetimes of use. 5
