    XMS3 Well it worked initially but then it gave me problems. i put these in my newly build system and after i got windows installed the video display driver would crash about every 10mins and the whole system would freeze and reboot itself. Long story short 1 of the 2 sticks was defective cause i tried 1 stick in my system at a time and the bad one caused those problems immediately and i took that one out and put the other in the same slot on the board and NO PROBLEMS at all! so I will be returning these hopefully for a refund and i already have bought another 2 x 4GB kit of Corsair Vengeance and have had no problems whatsoever. i still have trust in corsair and maybe i just got one of the bad ones.My RigAsus P8Z77-V LX2 x 4GB Corsair vengeanceIntel i5 3570k quad core @ 3.4GhzEVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB1 1TB Seagate Barracuda750W Corsair PSU 3Great upgrade, boosted performance I purchased two of these 8GB packs (4 pieces totaling 16GB) to replace the four 2GB memory modules which shipped with my PC.Running an Intel Core i7 processor with Windows 7 Home Premium, I knew that despite the specs saying this desktop could support 32GB of RAM, the operating system would only utilize 16GB - thus no need to add more than 16. (TIP: Be sure to read up a bit on 'Max Memory Limits' via a Google search, before adding memory to your PC or laptop.)Memory shipped in retail Corsair packaging. Easy to install, and all 4 of the memory modules were recognized by my system immediately upon reboot. Already set to run at 1333 MHz, there was nothing to do in the BIOS of my PC. Plug-n-play compatibility and as promised working order.While the Windows rating on my PC didn't change (it always reads the lowest score as the main score - mine is the video card), the performance boost was noticable when surfing the Web. Different browsers yeilded different results. Surprisingly, IE was super fast, followed by Opera and Firefox. Google Chrome is what I normally use, and it turned out to be the slowest.Photos and videos open faster, and boot time was reduced slightly. Game play was significantly improved, especially when running other programs like Windows Media Player in the background.The system runs cool with the new memory and I'm happy I finally pulled the trigger and bought this upgrade. The cost was prohibitive when I bought this system two years ago, but with current prices, it's an easy DIY upgrade that will add to your systems performance and your enjoyment. 5Highly recommended. My Dell 9100 had 6 x 2GB memory which I chose to upgrade to 6 x 4 GB, admittedly overkill, but I deal with large graphics files, often open contemporaneously in Photoshop CS5 and when edited, frequently, in 16 bit color, reach over 1 GB in size. Also, I often work with Illustrator open at the same time, so memory resources can be challenged. With large amounts of RAM, less is relegated to the much slower virtual memory on the hard disk.When I installed the two 3 x 4 GB kits, the computer booted normally and worked well in all respects, both cold and hot; however, interestingly, the memory(as a whole) did not pass the Windows 7 Memory Diagnostics test. I'm not sure what this means since usually faulty memory causes crashes or will not even allow the machine to boot. I did not try the "memory dance" to isolate which sticks were perhaps suboptimal, but rather I decided to return the whole order as defective and request a replacement. I have to congratulate Amazon for facilitating the exchange, mailing out the replacement memory within one business day with no shipping charge, and accepting the return their prepaid shipping via UPS to them.The replacement memory also functioned perfectly normally, and passed the diagnostics as well, so I suspect there was probably some minor defect in one or more of the initial modules which might have more likely led to failure down the line, but I do not know that for certain.Corsair is a first line brand of memory so that customers should not feel that this ridiculously low price is indicative of "bargain basement" type of hardware. Any batch of RAM can have an occasional bad module, and is no reason to demote the value of the product. It is truly unbelievable how the cost of quality RAM has dropped precipitously over the past several years, as I clearly remember 1 GB sticks of slower memory costing several hundreds of dollars apiece not that long ago! It was really a cost/benefit analysis in those days, whereas now you can pretty much decide how much memory you need with little consideration of differential cost.IMPORTANT: For those of you who have Win 7 Home Premium, please be advised that you will have to spend $89 to upgrade to the Professional Version(already installed, needing a key to unlock), if, after your purchase, you have more than 16 GB installed, and want to have all the memory accessible, since Home will address only 16 GB maximum. It will work perfectly well without the upgrade,however, with the aforementioned limitation. So, you may need to factor that additional cost into your purchase price if this be applicable. Just please be advised when you note in the Task Manager, or System splash screen that not all your memory in the larger installed capacities is available as expected in Win Home, that it doesn't mean the memory is faulty! There is a great deal of misleading information about this in various internet forums. As aforementioned, in almost all cases, the solution is easy. I hope this explanation is helpful, if you are not already aware of this.BOTTOM LINE: Product well recommended, and kudos to Amazon's customer service! 5Works great in my HP Pavilion Elite HPE-337c Ordered 2 pairs of DIMM's to upgrade my HP Pavilion Elite HPE-337c from 8GB to 16GB. Only been installed for 5 days now, so can't vouch for reliability, but working perfectly so far, and Crucial has always had a pretty good reputation for quality and reliability. Ordered these after purchasing a less expensive set of 4 DIMM's from a supplier I wasn't familiar with, and getting 3 good DIMM's and 1 bad one. Returned that set and bought this set. The higher cost is worth it to get good quality, and I should have bought this to begin with. 5Need to up grade.( like so i ordered again) I order this kit for my hp desk top, it made it a lot faster, if I need more I will get corsair memory again.I order my first kit 8 GB (2 x 4GB) over a year ago, it is still working well so I decided to order another kit to max out my computer.Now I have 16.0 GB (15.2 GB useable) and it is working even better.The price had dropped and I remembered the free shipping this time!They have changed the way the ram look on the out side at least the newer ram I got did not look like what I got a year ago.I am ok that they don't look the same but some people might not be, the older ram look like what they show. I will add a photo of the newer ram that I got. 5terrible product - bad manufacturing but great customer service (16GB upgrade) when I first installed the memory sticks they worked fine for first few days but started to notice periodic hang-ups and blue screens for no particular reason with MEMORY dumps on BSOD ... after I spent the last few weeks troubleshooting including a new and clean Win 7SP1+ reinstall on another SSD and various Lenovo provided system and hardware evaluation software that kept telling me there is a memory problem, I reverted back to swapping out the Corsair for Kingston equivalents with no further issues ... these are absolutely awful and I am deeply disappointed -- HOWEVER kudos to Corsair warranty and customer service - after contacting them and requesting an exchange they did respond reasonably quickly with their latest version of the XMS3 in the yellow blister pack which has gotten rave reviews - still a huge hassle overall but at least they stand behind their products which gave me some relief - system is back to running very well and thus far no more BSODs or hang-ups 1**I hope you enjoy my reviews as much as I enjoy trying new ... I ended up having to return these ram chips but that was, unfortunately, due to a problem with the chip slots in my mother board not with the ram. They did work but I was unable to keep them. I do have these chips currently in my computer (I was looking to add more but the extra slots I had are not working) and have had no problems with them after about 2 years.**I hope you enjoy my reviews as much as I enjoy trying new products. Thanks for taking the time to read my review!** 4Excellent Customer Service One of the things you never know when you buy memory is what happens a year from now should it fail.I have the answer when it comes to Corsair. They replace it without question. I opted for the Express service which means they were supposed to charge my credit card, send me replacement memory and then when I sent back the defective memory, credit my card. Well, they did send the replacement memory and I did send back the defective memory but all they did was an authorization. My card was never actually charged.Couple of things I really appreciated. First, when I called in they treated me with respect and assumed I was of reasonable intelligence. After talking with the rep and confirming the procedures, I filed and checked the status of the claim on their warranty website.Not only is Corsair memory outstanding but so is their warranty and customer service. 5Reliable and inexpensive memory modules When I upgraded my computer to the Core i7, which requires DDR3 RAMs I had to upgrade the memories too alone with a new compatible motherboard. I end up choosing this PC3-10666 1333MHz DDR3 Memory Kit. I've ordered the first set and then two weeks later, I've decided the computer may perform better with double the memory. I went ahead and ordered a second set which was $16 cheaper. It's relatively inexpensive considering having a total of 16 GB. These relatively cool running memory sticks works extremely well with my new system. In conjunction with my new processor. DDR2 and DDR3 has the same dimension slot with 240 pins but aren't compatible with each other and therefore purposely made with a different position blocking cut-out to prevent insertion on the non-compatible system. DDR3 has a lower voltage requirements then DDR2 and therefore consume less electricity. These memory modules requires only 1 1/2 volts to operate.I have no problems with both sets and are extremely happy with these memory sticks. I highly recommend this product to anyone. 5I have only had this for a couple of weeks ... I have only had this for a couple of weeks, but the two modules installed and work perfectly in my Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard.Some of the AMD AM3+ motherboards are a little picky about RAM modules. This XMS 1333mhz DDR3 memory is not the "fastest" supported by this motherboard, but it was listed by Asus in their Memory Vendor Compatibility List, so that's why I went with it.The system I have built is a "mainstream" computer, not a "tweaked-out gaming rig". So, my main concerns were compatibility, stability, and reliability for the long haul. So far, this memory fits that bill perfectly. 5
