    Description

    • Use this bed alarm system to know when someone is getting up from their bed. The alarm can be kept outside the room with the caregiver, keeping alarm noise away from the patient.
    • 20" x 30" cordless bed pad is placed under the fitted sheet, across the back or buttocks area, in patient's bed. When patient starts to rise, a wireless signal is sent to the caregiver alarm, which will sound an alert.
    • Portable alarm can be up to 100' from the bed pad, and features a volume adjustment and an on/off switch. Requires 3 C batteries, (not included), or purchase an AC adapter, sold separately as 'Kerr AC-04E Adapter'.

    Lifesaver for Caregiver of an Alzheimer's PatientThis product was a lifesaver for me. My father had Alzheimer's and would get out of the bed all the time. Yet he was not very stable and would fall. This product warned us if he got up. The beauty is he could move around in the bed and as long as he did not totally release pressure off of the pad it would not go off. It is not overly sensitive to movement so it would only alert us if my father totally removed pressure from the pad. The nice thing is the receiver can go 100 feet away and still alert you. This is very easy to use and highly recommended.5Peace of MindI would say this alarm has been extremelly helpful with respect to allowing us to sleep without concern that my mother is getting up without supervision. I especially like the fact that the alarm is able to be brought to whatever room I am in. Although there are three levels of sound, so, sometimes I just leave it in a nearby room, still able to hear the alarm even if I move among the rooms. As noted in other reviews, there is a 'crinkling' noise when the person moves in the bed, but we have an incontinence pad over the alarm pad, and my mom is undisturbed by the crinkling sound. Positioning of the pad (I used safety pins to keep the pad in place on the mattress) may require a bit of trial and error and will depend on the person's sleep habits, and speed of rising. I would say this purchase was totally worth it for our situation. I also purchased the ac adapter, as others had written that the cost of battery replacements was expensive. The adapter has worked out well.5Remote alarm is the only way to go.Great product and works very well. The remote is very handy for my Mom's caregivers who can move about the house plus there is no loud alarm going off in the bedroom. The pad is placed high under the pillow so the alarm goes off when head and shoulders lift off the bed. The pad does slide around under the mattress pad so we used velcro to keep it in place.5Keeping my Mom safe!I've been using this for my Mom's bed for the past several months....it's perfect!! This is the second type I've had; my favorite thing about this one is that the "alarm" noise is near me, not her. The last one alarmed at her bedside, adding to her anxiety. The good news is, it did save me some sleep and gave me comfort knowing I was at least notified that he was up. The only other thing I do not appreciate is is the crinkly plastic sound it makes when my Grandpa is crawling into his bed. Any confused elderly person would wonder what that is in their bed and may try to remove it. It should be a little less noisy. I love the adjustable volume on the alarm and that it is reliable. The thing did flash when the battery was low so I knew it was time to plug it in or change the batteries.2My mother gets up in the middle of the night ...My mother gets up in the middle of the night and has fallen. With this, I can be there to help her without worrying about not hearing her get up all night. Fits under the sheets and she doesn't even feel it.5An invaluable aide for mom and meI've had this product for two months now that alerts me when my 91 year old mother is getting out of bed during the night. Previously, she's had several falls during the night with the last one requiring an 8-day hospital stay followed by 3 weeks in rehab. This product allows me to sleep better because of the peace of mind it gives me and most importantly, I can get to my mom's bedroom before she tries to get up by herself. Exactly as advertised. My Dad has dementia and has to be supervised when out of bed. Place it in the middle and it sounds when he stands. We placed it under his shoulders and it sounds when he sits up. Unit has not failed to sound and has not false tripped. Receiver can be anywhere in the house. We sleep more sound due to this device. I would purchase it again and would recommend.5Have only had this a few weeks, but what ...Have only had this a few weeks, but what peace of mind we now have with my mother who has late stage dementia. We have placed the pad under her bottom since she at times will sit up in bed, but if she moves off the pad to get up it chimes right away. We were having to sleep in her room with her to make sure she didn't try to get up by herself and possibly end up falling. The chime is not overbearingly loud but no one staying with her has had any problem being awakened by it.5
