I made an oops! While trimming our hedges i accidentally cut through my hubbys extensions cord, it was SHOCKING!No seriously I m fine but the cord was well, not.So i purchased this to replace it and so far it s filling the bill...I ve promised to not kill it like the one that came before it! 5Works perfectly in-place in my yard year-round I use this with an electric birdbath. There's an outlet in my crawl space and I plug it in there, then the cord runs through a hole out into my yard and up into the birdbath. The cord stays in place year-round (so I can't comment on how well it coils back up). In the warmer weather, I unplug it and wrap the plug in plastic (within the crawl space), then unscrew the basin of the birdbath and unplug the other end, wrapping it in plastic as well then leaving it inside with the base screwed back on over it.It's spent three years like that (three full winters) and is still going strong. I'm in Washington DC so our winters are mild but we do get down to the single digits a few days each winter. The birds always have water, not ice. This cord does the job. 5seems worth the money I used this cord for a few items that stay plugged in our carport... chargers and car vacuum. After buying it I realized I will want to plug in the little tire compressor out there, the 16ga wire might be too small for that, but it's my own problem if it is, and I'll just have to run a temporary 12ga extension if that's the case. The green is easy to see so nobody trips on it, but does have to go across some grass area and it's totally hidden there. No complaints, mine was no more stiff than any other utility extension cord, well made, good socket at the end (I have some Harbor Freight extension cords that make unreliable contact, which is frustrating). So far it's a good buy for the price paid. 25 ft would not have reached and 50 ft would be too long, so I'm pleased with my purchase. 4Has been outside for a week and so far it ... Has been outside for a week and so far it is working as intended. I didn't understand, however, why on the packaging it cautioned about using in wet locations, however, it is an outdoor cord. This may just be a general warning. I have it plugged in to a GFI outlet, and I used a cord connect water tight lock to protect where it connects to my outdoor rated battery tender just to be safe. 5so this one is boring, but useful Heyyyy, it's 40 feet and it works. Score!(It's exactly what it states and it works well. We have had no issues, so this one is boring, but useful. The best kind of purchase.) 5Not sure it will last. I used these cords outside for Christmas lights. As I was bringing them in after the season and winding them up I could see that the wires inside were twisting relatively easy. Also the protective plastic coating on the outside seemed like there were spots where it plastic was white or stretched and could be weak. 32 for the price of 1 - great cords These cables are great! I ordered thinking the price was good for an outdoor extension cord and realized when I received that it included TWO cords. The only downside, we had to shave off some of the rubber around the plug part to fit into the hedge clippers. 5You get what you pay for. I picked this extension cord up for a pretty good price but, unfortunately, the old saying, "You get what you pay for" still stands true. The sheathing on the cord is so flimsy that you can feel the individual wires inside and when trying to wrap it up, it twists up and tangles with itself. 3Quality and Price Point Perfect We found this for 14.00 plus prime shipping. Snapped it up! We have several electric lawn and gardening tools that are all electric. We needed a little more cord and this was perfect for the price. Would recommend a cord reel even if you have just one cord for neatness and convenience. We found one here for 8.00 plus prime shipping. No issues whatsoever, perfect extension to our 50 foot cord that we needed. Sturdy, heavy duty, quality all the way around. 5Nice bang for the buck. Nice extension cord for the price - not flimsy. I used to hook up some Christmas lights so I didn't need super heavy duty but this one is good enough to run tools and the like. I'm sure I will get many years of use out of this absent my nephew borrowing it for some reason as the things he borrows tend to disappear. 5
