Customer Reviews

Awesome clothesline What a great concept to use twists to secure the clothing. I knew ahead of time I wouldn't have a clothes dryer for my trip, and this was perfect - especially for underclothes and small items. My only challenge was the black clips. Even though they were quite large, it was difficult to get them to open enough to secure around a narrow decorative window bar. Because they're plastic, I was concerned they would break (although they didn't). Before my next trip, I may swap the clips out with light weight carabiners. Also, once I found some hangers, it was easier to hang shirts and pants that way. Overall, this clothesline is space saving, functional, multi-purpose (bungee) and has earned a place in my "must take" travel bag. 4Don t need clips with this rope rSeemed great. Didn t open it yet5Great clothesline - doesn't bleed Okay. I bought this product with hesitations - I saw the review about the bleeding yellow. When the package arrived, I simply opened it up, and I threw it in the washing machine with my clothes. This clothesline is awesome. It worked flawlessly for my backpacking trip through Europe. It's stretchable, unwind-able, clip-able, twist-able, you name it! Plus, by washing it before hand I removed any chance of bleeding. For the price, you can't beat it. 5Nice idea but don t hold up wellDesign and idea is nice but just don t hold up. Keep having to readjust as it stretches out which is expected but by 6 weeks couldn t keep tightening it up any more as is shot. Sun really eats it up quickly also. Will need to look for something else with a better material for the rope part. The clips are a nice idea though2Looks like good qualityTook a little while to come in. I hope it works as good as it says it will.5Perfect My son needed a clothes line to dry his clothes in Nicaragua. He said this line is a life saver. Easy to hook up and with the way the rope is made you can untwist it a bit and hang your clothes to dry with or without a clothes pin. 5A great addition for traveling. Useful "tool" Very convenient to pack and use while traveling for a quick rinse and dry of clothing. The double twisted bungee line makes it easy to insert a corner of clothing to hold without pins. The clips are large and I have been able to use them in every hotel (except one) in some manner. Often I hook an end around the bungee to make a loop to hang around a knob or shower head. And I can always fit it somewhere in my luggage.I have used this now for 4 years and it still has the same elasticity and feel as when new. Very durable. 5Well made for long term car camping This close-line is over the top well constructed. The spiral bungee cord and clips looked pretty cheaply made in the picture, but on the advice of other reviews I decided to give it a shot. I have more than a few Coghlan's products, and the brand has been hit or miss, but I am very happy with this clothesline. So the first question is why would I need one of these. I use it for car camping, when I am going to be gone for more than a few days to keep the amount of clothes I have to bring to a minimum. If you are an occasional overnight car camper, you probably don't need one of these. But for people who spend weeks on the road, and want to make doing road laundry less of a pain this is worth it. Paracord, webbing, anything else will soak up the water, and then you will have to dry it out later, and that slows you down. This stays dry, and takes no time to set up and take down. Anything to make car camping a bit easier helps your overall mood a lot. Before I was just hanging laundry up on my hammock line, but I would end up soaking the webbing through and having to dry that out later. Sometimes if it over soaked it would run some water down and soak the ends of my hammock. I also have used paracord, but this way just saves me a bit of time tying knots. This line does not soak up water and dries easily. It also stretches way further than you would expect (see attached photo).I have this paired with my Scrubba Portable Laundry System Wash Bag, although that system has a few problems of its own. A simple dry bag would work, until someone makes a system that is truly better. I would really recommend this clothesline for anyone who does a lot of car camping. 5Perfect, packable, durable clotheline.I haven't used this one yet, but had an identical one for 10 years. Perfect for cruises, rented condos, camping trips, trips all over the world.5Good camping clothes line I read the other reviews that said the yellow would bleed onto clothes, so I washed it before the first use. I used it this weekend while camping in the national forest and it worked great! I used it to hang out white clothes and did not see any of the yellow color on them. I was able to stretch it long enough to hang what I needed and it held the items up well. 5Excellent, must have for europe travel I brought this with me on a trip to Europe at the recommendation of the Rick Steve's site and it was super useful. I thought it might be overkill but I'm so glad I brought it. None of the rentals I stayed in had dryers so this was really useful. My favorite part is that you don't need clothespins and the structure of the line and clips means you can easily shorten it or loop it around things that you might have to improvise with like a doorknob without knotting and unknotting. 5Great for travel! I bought this for an upcoming two week trip where I plan on only using a carry on- no checked luggage. So doing a little in the sink laundry is a must. I was a little hesitant seeing reports about bleeding yellow so I opened it and tossed it in my bathroom sink with warm water. After a few hours I took it out. The water was still clear. I took the line and rubbed it with an old white Tshirt and nothing came off. I love the length and the clips and how it stretches! Very light weight. I will only update this review if after the trip I notice any flaws. 5Glad I got this one, so far so good This clothesline came in really handy on a cruise earlier this year. I passed the line through the hinge to the bathroom door closer thing and connected the ends to the towel rack, clipping plastic clips through the coils in the bungee line until the clothesline was tight. It worked great! We had more space to hang clothes and wet towels than the measly little clothes line in the shower. I have continued to use it at home. Just make sure heavy-weight items are secured closer to the ends where the line will have less give to sag toward the ground. Wet blue jeans and heavy towels may have to be draped over the line, but I haven't had a problem with the twists holding things as long as the clothesline is tight. 5Good buyGreat for your to go bag to dry clothes5This is a simple and yet innovative approach to clotheslines! When I started looking for a travel clothesline I had no idea what would work best. I gave this one a shot and I'm glad I did. The feature that allows you to poke a small bit of your clothing item up through the double cord works well and eliminates the need for clothes pins. It can be stretched out to several feet. The tighter you stretch it out, the more you clothes you can hang, and the tighter the better for holding items securely.I also like the clips on each end of the cord. They work well. They'll attach to a variety of fastening points, and if you want you can clip the cord back on itself if you need to. You'll find yourself using a lot of creativity to fashion a workable clothesline, according to what's available in the space you're living in.Buy it, I think you'll like it! 5
