Customer Reviews

Nice.Top quality. Made to last in Japan. Works beautifully. Recommended. Once again, you get what you pay for and this cutter is worth the extra.5Five StarsPerfect for the job!5The BEST !!!! I had to cut through I beams on a special project I was working on.. Knowing it was going to "EAT UP" regular "Bi-Metal" hole saws, I decided to try a "Champion" hole saw and purchased it here on Amazon.... Well,.. I WAS AMAZED !!!!!!!!! It DID cut through like butter... Cleanly too ! The metal shavings were flying off the bit... I started on one side, and before i got completely through, finished on the other side... Now, this I beam was about a 1/2" thick and after 4 holes, I looked at the Champion bit closely... I couldn't even see any scratches on it !! It was like I NEVER used it !!!I am TOTALLY IMPRESSED by the Quality of these bits and intend on buying many more sizes ! If you need to cut through heavy gauge steel, do yourself a favor... buy this ! You will be amazed too ! 5Very impressive cutting tool I used this hole cutter to drill (4) 1 1/4 cross holes in an eight inch diameter sch.80 pipe and the tool worked beautifully. Fast cutting with minimal pressure required and relatively good surface finish. The center ejector spring also work really well and I never had to stop to remove the material plug from the cutter. Having worked in the cutting tool industry for 33 years I can state with confidence that this is a great tool, especially considering the relative low cost for a carbide tool of this quality. 5The bit did not even get warm very happy..Cut 1'' thick steel with ease .Uses cutting oil and rite speed and it cut's grate...The bit did not even get warm very happy....One thing after getting 95 present thu had to remove aliment bit to make it all the way thu.No big dill..5Better than regular hole cutting bitsWorks very well on thin stainless steel.5... that I have used these are by far the best. They stay sharp and cut cleanOf all hole saws and types that I have used these are by far the best. They stay sharp and cut clean. Fantastic product. I will be replacing all my holesaws with this product. Thanks5Arbor Snapped on Second Hole The center arbor bit snapped on my second hole (of twelve) through a residential steel I beam. Flange was only about an 1/8" thick. I had to do the other 10 holes the "old fashioned way" (regular cheap drill bits, starting with a pilot hole, and working my way up to 5/8"), and not a single one of the cheap bits snapped. On the first two holes (before the arbor snapped), the bit worked okay... but still a major PITA on relatively think steel. I was hoping this would be the "silver bullet" to make a difficult job much easier, but that definitely wasn't the case (even if the arbor hadn't snapped). In my case, no where near as effortless as their product videos. Perhaps it would work better in a different application. 1A brute of a hole saw. This saw cut through some thicker gauge metal like butter, that ehich had eaten three other holesaws for breakfast.I'd recommend this brand and model type for all heavy duty applications. I cut about 6 holes in some tough metal, and the saw shows little to no signs of wear.Wear long sleeves and eye protection, as this thing throws some hefty chips. 5Five StarsGreat product. If I had a child I would be passing this tool along to them. Solid.5Should have bought this one first Excellent tool! It throws hot metal chips so beware when cutting vertical or overhead holes. Also, a certain finesse is required when breaking through material (you can easily break a hand or wrist). I had initially bought the cheap Chinese crap that I figured would do the job, but it proved as useless as a screen door on a submarine. After the aggravation and time spent trying to make CH-IT work, I bought the Champion and I finished my project in no time at all. 5Great for doors! After years of dealing with the normal box store sheet metal hole saws (even the so called carbide toothed ones) I finally sprung for a pair of these in 1" and 2 1/8" for new lock preps.Sheet metal saws have a tendency to go out of round, and they don't cut a particularly clean hole even when new. If you knock one of these out of round you're doing something very, very wrong.Only issue I have with these is the teeth are pretty grabby once they're about to break through sheet metal. They'll spin your drill on you in a heartbeat if you're not careful. Technique I've used to counter that is to use higher speed and much lower pressure just before it breaks through. These are super sharp and are great for fine woods or veneers where you don't want to risk delaminating a strip of grain. Faster cutting than a Forstner bit but just as clean.Even at a 3 figure price tag I don't see myself ever going back to sheet metal saws. These are just awesome. 5Best hole saw I have ever usedThis hole saw was better than I thought. I needed to cut 76 1" hole in 3/8 flat plate on a project I was building. When I did jobs like this before I would go thought 2 or 3 bi-metal hole saw cutter. I did my job and this tungsten carbide saw cut the last hole just as good as the first hole.I like it so much I'm thinking of buying them in difference sizes.5This little sucker has bored through probably about 16 inches of hot-rolled steel in ... This little sucker has bored through probably about 16 inches of hot-rolled steel in total and it still gives nice long slices of removed material (bits tend to chip when they get dull). I would buy this again in a heartbeat for anyone who needs to cut steel. The metal I am cutting through already has a rough hole put in by a CNC plasma cutter, so the centerbore bit isn't getting a workout, but those carbide teeth sure are. 5This bit is amazing. I spent two hours with my small drill ... Wow ! This bit is amazing. I spent two hours with my small drill press and ruined several new drill bits trying to make two 5/8" holes in angle iron before giving up and looking for another way. The next day I watched a few youtube videos and discovered these hole saws. The bit arrived in two days (love Amazon Prime) and within 15 minutes was in the drill press and making perfect, effortless holes. It goes through 1/8" angle iron so quickly it barely gets hot. For drilling larger sized holes, the is the only way to go. Only wish I would have discovered these years ago ! 5Love these!!! Love these cutters. I use them all the time and get dozens of cuts out of them on pretty rough material. Work so good! 5I use this same brand and number all the time ... I use this same brand and number all the time. But in this case the teeth came out prematurely on several units. Usually we drill 300-500 holes in .120" thick and .188" material as well as some .375" before we loose one tooth if at all (medium feed / pressure with ample cooling and oiling) and the continue drilling at least the same amount until the second tooth pops.On this batch 2 teeth popped on all units around 200 holes or so. Two teeth gone and you get chatter and a goofy hole which does not work well a commercial product. 5 Stars on all my other cutters purchased at about $10.00 more locally. Another brand with four cutter is holding up O.K. to date but have not put it thru the paces yet. 3GOOD!Does a great job!4Performed excellent. Way better than other carbide tipped bits from ...Performed excellent. Way better than other carbide tipped bits from big box stores. Used for holes in 1/2in steel plate. Drilled 40 holes and still at useable sharpness.5Not too badUsed to drill holes in 10" Diameter, 3/8" wall steel pipe. The holes took a couple minutes to drill, not very fast, but a whole lot faster than a bi-metal holesaw. Drilled two holes and the hole saw still looks new. The pilot bit, however, snapped off in the second hole. I ordered a new bit and we'll see how long the new one lasts.3
