Customer Reviews

As far as I can tell no difference between this and the $100 cables For my purposes, without any complicated surround sound systems and with a 720p TV, I can't tell any difference between this cable and the more expensive models I've tried. This is triple-shielded as are the $80-$100 cables. I only even got it to free up a component input for my DVD player, otherwise I wouldn't have tried it. I can say, though, that it is surely better picture than the component cables that I had used to pipe my HDTV receiver signal to my 32" 720p Samsung LCD. I don't know if there would be a difference between this cable and an $80 Monster cable if you were using, for example, a 1080p signal on a 50" plasma screen and using Dolby 5.1 or something like that; but I can say that for my TV and sound you can save the money and buy this cable - use the extra 60 bucks to buy a few HD movies. 5Passed a video signal from computer to monitor fine, but monitor would never sleep properly Passed a video signal from computer to monitor fine, but monitor would never sleep properly... Instead, it displayed a message that the HDMI cable was unplugged. Waking the monitor from the PC restored the picture. But every sleep resulted in the above. After I replaced the cable with a much more substantial HDMI cable from a different vendor, these problems went away. Monitor goes into sleep mode as it should, when it should. 1Cable died after 11 months of light usage I bought this cable 11 months ago. It worked fine for a while, but then I started having issues with the screen on my television going black intermittently and losing audio at the same time. When I replaced this cable with a cheap Amazon brand HDMI cable, everything works fine, all of the problems are gone for both audio and video. I move this cable from one plug to another about once every two weeks, so it did not see very harsh usage. Very disappointing. 1Works great! I bought a new monitor with an HDMI input for my computer. The cheapest HDMI cable I could find in the stores was over $20 and they went up in price from there... waaaaaay up! So I robbed the expensive HDMI cable I had on my BluRay player to use for my new monitor until this one arrived. When it did, the first thing I noticed was that the overall physical quality of the item was quite good. It certainly had the look and feel of the high-end cable I had been using. Once I swapped it out I could not tell any difference in performance or picture quality whatsoever. I think it goes without saying that for UNDER FOUR BUCKS INCLUDING SHIPPING you really can't go wrong with this cable. I'm very happy with the purchase! 5Just spend the extra few bucks, this is not worth your money! The cord is a joke. I received this cord Monday 06.25.18 I m returning it today! I intended in using this to plug my laptop into my tv. The cord made my laptop a black screen, and refused to start up correctly. Once I unplugged the cord and started my laptop, everything was fine.Once I did get the image up on the tv after having figure everything out, the audio was terrible. A constant crackling and lag, but I tried my other Amazon Basic HDMI and it was fine and smooth. I wanted to make sure it was this cord causing problems and it was every time!End of story, the cord is terrible. The packaging was decent and it was shipped fast but that s the only thing good about it. Buy an Amazon Basic cable they re reliable and great quality. 1Worked for a year and a half then died Ordered one of these cables for my dad so he could watch his laptop screen from the TV. Worked fine until it stopped transmitting a signal recently and unexpectedly. Bought an Amazon Basics thick-corded cable as a replacement, which worked perfectly. We suspect that the wiring inside broke apart due to movement. Stick to AB brand if you need cheap cables. 1Cheaply made, NOT as described. It is a fairly cheaply made cable, described as having "Ferrites on both ends". What was received was an economy cable without ferrites on the ends. The reason you want ferrites on the ends (and the reason I bought this cable) is to reduce EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio-frequency interference). I wanted to use this cable to hook a desktop to a led TV. The reason why I called it an economy cable is that was the description of the cable on the manufactures label that is attached to the bag. It is an accurate description. 1Exactly what I needed. Perfect.Exactly what I needed. I'd bought a new SmartTV and wanted to connect my laptop so I can use the SmartTV as a ginormous screen. I never had HDMI cables before. Let me tell you, these work perfectly. Just connect and go.I did my research first. On youtube saw MANY videos that say you should not pay over 10 bucks for HDMI cables. If you do, you're getting ripped off. Good thing I checked too.. Radioshack, PC Richards, Compuserve, all these stores have them for like 15 - $80 REDICULOUS.Under 5 bucks right here. Save your money. It's the same shit. The shipping is free cause it delivers straight to your mailbox. #awesome! 5LOL - Don't Overpay for HDMI!!!! Hey folks - I'm an electronics technician and network engineer!LOL... LOL... LOL... Don't OVERPAY FOR SOME PLASTIC AND METAL!!!HDMI cables simply transfer digital information from your DVD player to your TV/Receiver. It's essentially 1's and 0's directly processed by your TV/Receiver. It's not a an audio or high frequency signal that's succeptable to interference, crosstalk, or anything else.Your main concern is signal degradation due to distance. If the distance of your run surpasses the specifications for HDMI transmission, then you will simply need a device that amplifies/repeats the signal so that it reaches its destination (your recever) unchanged/degraded.3 ft and 6 ft cables are sufficient for most applications. If you want gold plating, then these cables are gold plated. Why gold plating? Gold plating prevents corrosion. Actually its been over-played by marketing. If your equipment is not in a damp place, or outdoors, then even if you don't have gold plating, your electronics may die before the cables corrode.Buy these cables and laugh just like I did. I initially bought a $39.95 Phillips cable from Wal-Mart cause that was the cheapest one I could find, but I still felt that I'd been taken! Then, I did some research and found this cable. I bought 3 - then took the overpriced Phillips HDMI cable back to Wal-Mart!!!Why 3 cables? - I'm waiting on a PS-3 and an AFFORDABLE, true HDMI switching receiver. Currently I'm using one cable directly from my Hi-Def Sony DVD Changer to my Samsung 50" DLP, and running optical audio from the DVD Changer to my Onkyo 7.1 system - Suhweet... (for now).P.S....For those of you that think that you must have Monster cables, go ahead. They're not bad - Just Overpriced!!! I used to work at Circuit City back in the day of commissioned sales people, so I know the profit margin on this stuff. I had to flex on a BestBuy associate a few years back because he kept insisting that I buy a power conditioner from "Monster Cable" for my big screen for $100.00, even after I'd already bought a (throw your money away) service plan!!!Hey - Get this cable, it's of high quality and it's Safe!!! 5Cheap piece of crap. Well I guess you could say it was all my fault! I was looking for a cheap HDMI cable and I found one. From the beginning I should have know by looking at how thin the cable was, but hey, new tech right? Wrong! I have had this for a few weeks putting off the inevitable of replacing a perfectly good inexpensive cable that was too short to put into the wall out of sight. Well today I finally pulled y slug like body off the couch and decided to tidy up the wall tv look. Did I test the cable before spending an hour installing the box? No. Did i try it out before snaking it through the wall from tv to cable box? No. So like I said, it's all my fault! I expected to actually see a crisp clear picture with HDTV quality. What I got was a picture that blinked in and out then black, back to snow, half fuzzy picture, black, black,snow.....you get the picture! Before you say "well hey, are you sure it's the new "cheap cable", YES, it's the cheap cable! Retried old cable, beautiful picture. New cable, crap, old good, new, crap! So I guess what I'm saying is if you are thinking about buying one of these, DON"T. 1
