Worked Flawlessly And Delivered The Full Resolution My Dell monitor is not full 4K but higher than HD resolution. This cable automatically delivered the right resolution without having to do any fiddling. Well I did have to change the Windows 7 display settings, Windows 7 unfortunately is a corporate restriction, to not clone the laptop's display but instead treat the monitor as a separate extra display but after that it auto-detected the maximum possible resolution and applied that. No flickers or dropped connections and the text and images look nice and crisp. Note that this is not for a gaming application so I have no idea how well the cable would work for that. 5DO NOT BUY for running your 4k tv at 1440p I have a GTX 1060 with 1x HDMI 2.0 and 3x DP 1.4. I recently upgraded to a 4K Samsung TV. With HDMI 2.0 I can run any resolution at 60hz. However, I have an oculus rift too. So I need my HDMI port on the GPU for the Oculus. I wanted a Display port to HDMI cable that would let me run 1440p (2k) at 60hz. This cable will not do that. As soon as I go back to my HDMI cable I can make it run at 60hz. Otherwise with this cable it limits to 30.Returning. 110 ft, 4K @ 60Hz what is not to like? Nice cable for slightly more than an adaptor. The answer to my question as to whether this cable supports 4K@60Hz is a definite yes. Works great. No visual issues at all. The DP lock works well and the 10 ft length is hard to find and a life saver if one of your monitors is a 42" TV. Much better choice than mucking around with an adaptor. I use it for gaming from my Nvidia GTX1060 and the visual quality is great. 5The Cable you need if you have an HP PC and a 4K Monitor I have an HP Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF PC with integrated Intel 520 HD Graphics. With a standard Displayport to HDMI cable, I could not achieve a crisp nor high resolution on my TCL 43S403 4k UHD TV. This Cable Matters version did exactly what I was hoping, giving me very high resolution options. Although I was skeptical when I first received the package since the wire thickness was the same, this cable lives up to it's claim and delivers. I would suggest this cable for anyone that has a Displayport (especially HP units) and trying to connect to a 4k UHD monitor requiring an HDMI connection. You won't be disappointed.Just a few other BIOS tips for those using an HP computer. I blew away Windows 10 and installed Linux Mint 19. Since HP created their BIOS around Windows 10, you may not be able to see the BIOS menu using Linux. If not, press and hold WinKey+b and turn ON PC and then start pressing F2 until you see the HP logo and then press F10 to enter the BIOS. To avoid this in the future, while in BIOS (F10) > Advanced > Boot Options > set Start Menu Delay (sec.)=10.Also, to use the TV as the audio speakers for your PC, within the BIOS > Advanced > Built-in Device Options > check Audio Device and UNcheck Internal Speakers. Also be sure to connect the cable to an HDMI port on the TV that supports ARC (Audio Return Channel). 5Use this cable for a 4k TV to Computer display port to TV HDMI connection. My computer was locking up using a display port to HDMI adapter(Purchased from Best buy and not Cable Matters product).. The lockup seemed to occur because the Display port to HDMI adapter could not handle the higher resolution of my 4K TV used as a computer monitor. After installing this cable, my computer with dual monitor now works great. I would highly recommend this cable if you have an HDMI and Display port on your computer video card. Use a high quality HDMI cable for the HDMI port and this cable for your Display port to HDMI connection to your 4K TV. Make sure you do not use the other cables rated at 1080P.Video card is GEFORCE 10504K TV is a Samsung 43 inch.Read the specs.... It's for 4k at 30 HZ. You can''t push it to 60Hz. Works great for video and normal work. 30HZ is not for gaming.. 54K @ 60hz supported! I have a Nvidia GTX 1080 graphics card with a 2016 Samsung 4K UHD with hdmi 2.0 Input. This cable pushes 4K at 60hz without issues. 5Don't overlook the lock If you think a cable is a cable and they are all the same, that is simply not the case. I have extensive background in the cable making industry and there can be a world of difference between one brand and another. Because I know the difference that s why these days one of my first choices is Cable Matters.This time my need was for a DisplayPort to HDMI for my new ultra high end graphics workstation, a brand new business grade product from HP. I ve invested a lot into the server and monitor and wasn t going to economize on the interconnect cable.I suppose I could measure performance variations but I can summarize by saying I am satisfied with the performance I m getting. One improved feature this cable has is a physical lock at the DisplayPort end, something that should be mandatory but few cables have it. I would have a high opinion of this cable even without the lock but it is the frosting on the cake that makes me happy with my choice. 5This is the cable you need to run 21:9 ultrawide monitors... I have two LG ultrawide monitors but my GeForce GTX 1080 only has one HDMI output. So I bought another (cheaper) cable to run the second monitor from a display port to the HDMI input on the second monitor. Failure. The card couldn't display anything higher than 1080p. So, in order to get beautiful 2560x1080 on the second monitor, I then tried this cable and two others. This one worked great! Try this cable first if you find yourself with the same issue that I had. 5Why You NEED this cable with 4K I had a problem with my 4K Samsung TV used as a monitor with my computer: At random times once or twice an hour the screen would go black for a few seconds, then come back on. When it was working it looked fine so I never thought of a cable problem. I tried re-installing drivers, checking games for bugs, tinkering with my graphics settings, all without success. Then months later I read a story from a guy with the SAME PROBLEM. He solved it with this cable. And so did I. Since I plugged in this cable I have had no more issues with the screen going back.I did not even have a bad cable, it just was not capable of CONSISTENTLY delivering 4K. That was this cable AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable, 6 Feet, 1-Pack .So, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $6 to get this one instead to avoid the problems I had. If I could give $6 or $600 to have back those hours of frustration and troubleshooting, I would do it in a heartbeat. 5Quality Cable at a Great Price I bought this cable to connect my monitor to my desktop. I have an HP blank monitor which has two HDMI ports on the back but no DVI port. Admittetly I am running an older ATI Radeon graphics card which only has one DVI, one HDMI, and one Display Port in the back. I have my TV hooked up to my desktop via the HDMI cable so I needed something to run display port to HDMI. This cable works perfectly. I will be upgrading my system down the road to a 4K capable machine with a 4K monitor so I bought the 4K cable. The image looks amazing and the cable works perfectly. The quality of the cable is fantastic as well. It is solid and the connectors are well built. It connects well and does not feel flimsy at all. I will definitely be buying another one when I upgrade my system and have dual monitors.Thank you Cable Matters for making a quality affordable cable! I highly recommend buying their cables. 5
