Customer Reviews

cheap package they are as advertised as far as the fuses but once you open the package find something to put them in as it is very cheap and no way reused or seal to keep extra fuses in 3These are not ATC fuses I need ATC (closed) fuses to protect from salt air on the ocean. These were the only ones on Amazon I found that specifically said they were closed. Some others say ATC/ATO which doesn t make sense since one is closed and one open so passed on those. Assumed these Eaton ones would be as advertised so payed the much higher price for much smaller quantity and was very disappointed to find only open ones. If you really need ATC fuses don t buy these. If open are fine for your application, don t buy these, there are many more options that are better value. 1Good collection of fuses with an included tester. This is a nice collection of different ATC blade fuses. It covers most of the common values and can get you out of a jam if a critical fuse blows. The included tester/puller works pretty well. It can test blade fuses for a variety of sizes, but is very unwieldy to use in some tight spaces. Unless you're positioned perfectly, which isn't always possible, it's hard to see the indicator light. The fuse puller portion works pretty well, but with the same limitations in cramped spaces. When using the tester, the circuit you're testing has to be loaded since it's indicating voltage drop between the two sides of the fuse. If the circuit isn't completed when the tester's put in place, there's no return path for the power and the light won't light. To test a fuse on an open circuit, you'd have to use a multimeter and compare both sides against ground (assuming the fuse is on the'hot' side of the circuit) or just use an ohmmeter with the fuse pulled. 4Bussman fuses are great. Why don't you label this correctly and list ... RV Owners beware - I purchased these because it said ATC in description and on the box. THEY ARE NOT ATC (CLOSED BOTTOM). THEY ARE OPEN ON THE BOTTOM (OPEN BOTTOM). Bussman fuses are great. Why don't you label this correctly and list in your description correctly? Am sending these back before even opening the package. 1Good kit bought to replace some fuse in my jeep commander but the ones I needed are the mini fuses still kept it, never know when you might need a regular size fuse. I wish the case could be open and closed to reuse but you have to rip it to get to the tester and fuses. 4They work but....I'm disappointed in Bussmann I paid more for Bussmann (bought 1 package each, ATC and ATM) because I assumed (you know what they say about assume?) it would be of better quality than some of the much larger packs of fuses, and it came with a puller, with tester. In the long rung I paid about 2-3 times what I could have and had the same quality but much higher quantity of fuses and paid less for a cheap little puller. As some reviews have said, the fuses in the kit(s) can not be tested in spite of coming with a tester that has instructions for testing. The fuses are the cheaper fuses, that although have the test ports (holes in the top) the probes can not reach the metal contacts, even if they were small enough in diameter to actually reach all the way in.I'm sure the fuses themselves will work fine but for the cost and hype over a nearly worthless tester, there are better options. Oh, and the clamsell package which would make it easier to keep them secure, is secured to where it's nearly impossible to open without damage enough to keep it from closing well enough. I didn't expect a "case" but a package that would be good enough to use to store them.I did have a fuse to replace so I checked and found very few fuses in that car that could even be tested. Most mini's do not have test ports and the puller is nearly if not completely ineffective in pulling them because of size. It works well pulling and installing the standard size fuses though. For half the money I would have bought a variety package of both sizes, got a cheap $1 puller and some kind of cheap bag or case and put that in the vehicles for storage. I'm disappointed in Bussmann which has been a name I've been familiar with for years and years. I might expect something like this being dumped on Woot, but not retailed on Amazon.1 positive I can say, the fuses do have the amp stamped on the top for those that aren't familiar with the color codes. 3Cheap Fuses! The contacts in the fuses don't go to the top. You can't even test these with the included fuse tester. On top of all that these look worse quality than the Chinese fuses littering amazon. 1Fuse Tester works great, Fuses aren't that great. I really only bought this, because I wanted a cheap, easy to use, and simple, fuse tester. The spare fuses would of been a bonus for me. The fuse tester works quite well, does what I want it for.As others have mentioned in previous reviews, the fuses that came with this set, where awful. The quality is very crappy, and the metal prongs, don't even go all the way up to the top, as some Bussmann fuses usually do, boasting the better high quality fuses. This was a disappointment, but minor for me, since I was going for the fuse detector. For the price, it was good enough for me. But don't expect the fuses to be worth anything, you can't even test then from the top, with the provided tester. You will have to touch the actual contacts at the bottom, to test the fuses. 3Not ATC fuses, and tester is useless I ordered The Eaton / Bussmann NO.44 ATC Blade Fuse Tester/Puller Kit because I wanted ATC fuses (C for closed, at the bottom) but these are ATO fuses (O for open at the bottom). Moreover the fuse tester, which is designed to test blade fuses from the back, without the need of removing them from the fuse block, is completely useless, since the fuses in this kit are NOT designed to be tested from the back. The blades do not extend all the way to the back of the fuse and are consequently buried deep in plastic, far beyond the reach of the terminals on the fuse tester. Somebody made a big mistake, judging from the number of other people who are making the same complaint about this item. 1No more cheap fuzses! I'm tired of cheap fuses. Yes, there is a difference. I know Bussmannn is made in China as well, but the quality is much better than off-brand fuses. 9/10, would recommend. 5
