    Interesting daily diary of bus trip across MexicoI bought this book as I was also traveling across a smaller part of Mexico on a bus. This author appears to know Mexico well and gives short glimpses of various out-of-the-way but interesting towns that many of us have probably never heard about. He sparked my interest in visiting several places in the future that I would not have considered. The biggest reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I got the impression he was in too much of a hurry to catch the next bus to the next destination. I would have preferred less details about early morning starts (who really cares what time he wakes up to start the next bus ride or excursion) and more information about the cities themselves, preferably the people and climate and style of living. A little less about each museum please. He is right about the buses in Mexico.....more like what first class air travel use to be (long ago). The bus companies in the USA should go to Mexico and take notes on how a bus company can be operated. Having traveled for more than 40 years on airplanes, I cringe and whine whenever I have to travel by air anymore....I would rather go to the dentist for a root canal than go thru the now normal air travel requirements. 4Five StarsVery interesting book.
