    It's OK My husband was sure we couldn't get these anymore in our local discount store, so I went to my trustee Amazon, and in a pinch ordered a couple of them for our outside light posts. Have no complaints about the style, color or performance, and they came well protected in delivery, and on time.My biggest beef is that the price is kinda high, and our local store did get more in, so I grabbed all they had at 2 for $2.99. I know they last only about a year, but we do have them on solar, and I love the low, soft light they emit. 4I was hoping for darker tint Be advised that the tint is so light that the filament glowing is mostly what you see. Bulb doesn t really glow Amber. GuessI wanted something with darker tint. 3not amberWhen lit , this is a very very light amber. Evidently not enough pigment in glass. Not what I wanted. Also the bulbs came in a envelope padded with blister pack and one bulb was smashed. Strange way to send glass. Would not buy again3Great for light sensitivity!Exactly what I was looking for! I have light sensitivity and suffer from migraines. I replaced the ceiling lamp lights with these so I can use the overhead light without it being overwhelming. Great light bulbs, they fit perfectly in standard light sockets. You may want to keep a backup lighting option, because these put off a weak light and if you need some stronger brightness (like if you are looking for something). I keep a standard watt lightbulb in my lamp for such occasions.5These bulbs have a soft glow, happy I purchased them. They were packed very well for shipment!Just received 8 pack of the 25 watt amber bulbs. They were shipped out quickly and packaged very well. The color is more of an orange yellow. I have two table lamps with glass globes. Thee clear bulbs that I was using in the sockets was blinding. I searched many places for amber bulbs and they just don't carry them anymore. When I turn the lamps on with these bulbs, I am very satisfied by the soft glow. Also, when they are on they don't loolk so orange-yellow. Each of my lamps hold 3 bulbs so you can only imagine how blinding they were with clear 40 watt bulbs. I now have a total of three 25 watt Bulbrites and I am very pleased with them and the soft glow they reflect through my glass lamps.I hope they last for awhile and I will definitely stock up!5Great bulbI really like this bulb! It gives a soft amber light that is really good for nighttime when you don't want a lot of blue light. But, it's enough light to read by. This bulb lasts quite a while as well. Will continue to purchase this bulb in the future.5Perfect warm glow for any lamp.Love these bulbs in my stained glass lamps, white even low wattage is just awful. These bulbs aren't orange when lit and still give nice lighting that gives a nice warm glow that is cozy. I also have these in other Victorian lamps that look beautiful.5Five Stars Love love love! It gives off a nice soft light...great for when you go out and return home...just enough soft light so you don't walk into a dark room.5ORANGE not amber I was looking for amber bulbs, these are ORANGE! so be prepared for the color ahead of time, regardless of description, these (if you have other amber bulbs from a box store, will likely not match. 1Hard-to-find amber lights for insomniacs (and others who just love dramatic lighting)Back when it was possible for me to fall asleep effortlessly at 10:30 p.m. and wake at 7:00 a.m., alert and ready to go, I used to buy these lightbulbs just for their lovely golden glow. Now that sleep often eludes me, I was surprised to hear my sleep doc recommend amber, yellow, or orange bulbs for use in sleeping areas and any bathrooms or hallways one might be likely to visit in the hour or so before sleep or during the night. (She also recommended amber safety glasses, but that's a separate review.) Though skeptical, I gave it -- and a free bit of software that ratchets down the blue light of my monitor at sundown -- a try and am so far happy with the results. Of course these are just medium-amber-colored lightbulbs. They, alone, won't solve sleep problems. But as part of a larger plan (no TV, iPad, smartphone, exercise, alcohol, or domestic uproar within the last hour or two before bed), they seem to be working for me. At the very least, they're warm, dramatic ... and a shade more subtle than the yellow bug lites in my living room lamps. ;)5The perfect replacementThese bulbs are becoming more and more difficult (impossible?) to find in local stores. My antique chandelier hanging in my stairway was designed for these, and when I first looked for replacements twenty years ago, no problem ... all the hardware stores had them. Lately, though, I was getting a little frantic until I found these here on Amazon. Though all the other bulbs in my home are now LED's, there are simply no LED designs which look right in an antique chandelier, and since these are usually dimmed way down, they don't use much electricity and last for years. These bulbs are good quality, priced fairly, and delivered quickly.5Perfect! Just what I wanted!I was looking for an amber bulb to replace my soft white bulbs in my lamps in my bedroom to reduce blue light. I bought a few that were advertised on Amazon and way too pricey. They were all too bright and too white. These are perfect! They have a soft, warm light --- sort of like the old school street lamps. The bulbs are orange, but when turned on --- you get a warm light. I wouldn't describe the light as orange, but warm. It gives off just the right amount of light too. It's bright enough to light up the room, but if you're looking for a small something you dropped on the floor --- this is not the bulb you would want to turn on to find it.5Just what I wantedThis is just what I was looking for. Amber bulbs are rather hard to find, as it's hit or miss with local retailers (and I live in the country's third-largest city where selection isn't usually a problem); sometimes retailers carry them and, more often than not, they do not. I like the soft glow of these bulbs, as I'm sensitive to harsh lighting. These were shipped in a jiffy, and I appreciate the packaging that maximized protection but minimized waste. As a side note, I noticed that my neighbors use these as porch lights and it really complements their earth-tone/brown color palette.5
