    Over priced and pieces missingThe nut that holds the bracket to the clamp was missing when I opened the package. I bought my own and discovered the bolt supplied was to short, back to the store! I had to drill and adapt both the transducer and the monitor mount to fit my Hummingbird unit, not a big deal but annoying. The notches that set the angle to the clamp are the same on both sides so I can't get my transducer to hang vertical. I am making it work but 1/3 the price would have been too much for lightweight aluminum and cheap plastic.1Not what I orderedI ordered this part: Brocraft Universal Portable Transducer Bracket + Fishfinder Mount.what I received was a short aluminum pole with the rectangular metal piece on the bottom, it's only 31 3/4" long.This is NOT what I ordered.What is going on?1No customer serviceThis was a pretty convenient setup for switching transducers to different boat until the plastic clamp broke. I tried to contact brocraft to get a replacement clamp and of course never heard back. I wouldn t waste my money on another1Wish it had a longer pole.Well constructed. The only two issues i have are,the clamp does not go all the way closed, so mounting to a thin boat wall or hull could be and issue. But if you have a thick plate to shim it its fine.The pole is too short. With it clamped to the floor of a pantoon boat at the front it barely reaches under water with the transducer mounted. If it were longer the plastic clamps may not hold under trolling water pressure due to the lever arm. That said, for a canoe or kayak or even a small metal dingy this would work great. Also, to be fair, the dimensions are included in the image, so i should have checked.4Great Portable Depth Finder MountI wanted to mount a Depth Finder on the bow of my boat, but I didn't want it attached to my trolling motor or in my way when I'm not using it. This mount allows me to use a front depth finder when I want to, or remove it and stow it away when not in use. I can also use it on my kayak when I want.5Quality Transducer Mounting BracketQuality product, exactly as described. I have two issues:(1) The clamp does not close all the way, as the screw is short, such that it will not clamp on a thin part of your boat. I used it to mount my transducer on my pontoon boat, but I had to use a piece of wood so the clamp could hold it tightly to the aluminum skirt. I have no idea why they did not make the clamp screw long enough such that it would close all the way. Not sure how big the gap is, but looked like 1/2 - 3/4 inch! See photo of C clamp.(2) I would have liked it if it came with a set of stainless steel screws and bolts for connecting the transducer to the flat plate, I had to get a set for mounting the transducer.Other wise it appears to be built out of quality materials and does the job I purchased it for.4ServiceThis is a great concept BUT BUT BUT the part that holds the pole snapped when my boat hit a wave at 20 mph. I have been trying to find where to get a replacement, and no source could be found on the net. However, using Amazon I was able to contact Brocraft..All that said: their response was virtually immediate and on a Sunday. They also promised a replacement part promptly, and assuming it arrives as indicated, I will update this review to so indicate. Clearly this prompt response was beyond my fondest expectations, and the part is now here and installed. Again both great idea and fabulous service.!! And it also allows ]me to see depth in the bow of my 15 foot boat while using my bow mount trolling motor in off color water which is exactly what I wanted to be able to do and not have to keep asking the stern rider how deep we are,One word to the wise: it appears that you need to tilt the pole up before traveling at any speed. A more substantial bracket would be a definite upgrade.5Five StarsWorks perfect with my garmin striker 4 fish finder5I have a Humminbird Helix 7 MEGA SITook me 5 minutes to assemble this and it's fantastic. Very well designed and easy to use. This is so much better than the Sully transducer bracket that Cabela's has. That Sully bracket was poorly designed and a pain in the ass to assemble with terrible instructions. Save yourself all that aggravation and spend $20 more for a much better product. You can even mount your fishfinder on this and this is 10 inch's longer than the Sully if you want your transducer to go deeper. I bought the Sully bracket and returned it after seeing how poorly designed it was. The Humminbird transducer bracket has to be mounted a little to the right on the transducer mounting plate . The holes don't line up with the Humminbird bracket . I had to drill holes in the aluminum plate to allow me to bolt the transducer on. The transducer mounts off center . I haven't used it yet, but it looks secure and I don't see any extra turbulence affecting the transducers performance. There's a bolt hole in the flip up bracket , the instructions say not to bolt it down because it flips open if you hit something. The tube only had one cap at the end. The other end had no cap. I'm contacting the company to see why. I don't want salt water getting in there and rusting it out. Really like this .5Five StarsMet my expectations and gave me more than I initially expected regards to flexibility5
