Perfect for Fireworks!I purchased these headphones to protect my 6 month old's ears during the fireworks on the 4th of July. They were a great size and weight and she didn't mind having them on her head at all. Well she ended up not going to the fireworks, so my 3 year old decided she wanted to wear them. They also fit her perfectly and she said they blocked out all of the loud "booms" from the fireworks. She said they didn't hurt her at all and they weren't too heavy or distracting. The pink color is very nice and they are made very well. I will be using these for many more years and I highly recommend them! 5Great value, perfect fit!Bought a pair of these for my son to wear at our gun range. He ended up using these for everything! he likes to be with us when we are tilling the garden, weed-wacking, mowing the lawn, around the chainsaw while felling trees etc. He is almost two and after he had these on for a few minutes and realized they blocked the harsh noise, he left them on. I tried them on and my husband tried them on as well, they fit us but are a bit small for adults if planning on using them frequently. They are pretty comfortable and seem to be of good quality, they do well with blocking noise. They arrived quickly and were a great price. I will buy again if needed! I like how the ear pieces for up into the headband when not in use for more compact storage. 5Will fit for years to come!My daughter is about to be one. The smallest setting works great for her. My six year old can wear them as well. It's great knowing that these can last her for many years. I thought a baby would not like them on their ears, but I was wrong. They are super soft and comfortable for her and she loves wearing them. 5Babybanz for my 5 year old- A TOTAL MOM WIN!We just recently went to a Third Day concert. My 5 year old's first concert ever. I knew I had to get ear protection or we wouldn't be there long. I had read about Babybanz during my extensive research into the best ear protection for kids. They did not disappoint. Right before the band came out, we slipped these on and voila', an enjoyable time ensued! I had asked my son to wear these for short periods of time leading up to the concert just so he would be used to their feel once the time came to keep them on. That seemed to work great. He kept them on, we stayed for almost all of the concert AND his hearing wasn't damaged! I flinched when the drums starting beating and I looked at him and it didn't bother him one bit. He actually fell asleep during the second half of the concert (!!!) if that tells you anything about how great these things are. :)Update: 3 years later and they are still awesome ear protection for him! We've been to numerous Christian music concerts and he's worn them every time and never complained about the music being too loud.These were an awesome purchase... 5Perfect snug fit, but only reduces (not cancels) noiseMy daughter is three years old and has been diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and anxiety. Her occupational therapist recommended getting noise-cancelling headphones to have when she is going to be exposed to loud, chaotic noises, such as riding the bus. Before these headphones, riding the bus was extremely difficult for my daughter. The combination of the noises and the people and the stops made her very upset and she would claw at herself and others out of frustration.These headphones are the perfect fit for her. She's 3 and I wasn't sure if these would be too big as they go up to age 10. They fit her very snug but they can also expand to fit even my head, so I would say it's accurate that these can be used for 2-10 year olds. They create a very tight fit on me and a comfortable but snug fit on her.My only complaint is that they do not cancel noise. They greatly reduce the noise you can hear but they are not in fact noise-cancelling. I would have preferred something that would have created total silence for my daughter. She can still make out individual words at normal conversation tones while wearing the headphones. They do appear to make enough of a difference that she gets less agitated on the bus but I wonder if something that completed reduced the noise would have been better to get for my daughter. 4Very disappointedThis is a review for the second pair of Baby Banz that we purchased. The first pair we bought two years ago and they worked perfectly. The current version has a serious defect that was not present in the older pair. The plastic band no longer has a thicker supporting ridge to reduce the chances of breaking. The new band is a flimsy piece of plastic that snapped the first time I tried to take it off of my two year old. You can see the difference in the attached photo. The blue earmuffs are the older version with the ridge, while the orange pair are the new ones without ridge. I don't know if this is a case of Baby Banz trying to save money with a cheaper headband or if a knockoff got commingled with the real deal at an Amazon warehouse. Either way my two year old and I are very disappointed. 1Don t waste your moneyI love the Baby Banz for 0-2+ and so do my kids. We are a musical family so we re very careful to have ear protection whenever my kids are around loud music. Now that they are 3 and 6 years old and starting to bring friends into the music room we decided to upgrade to this model since it was rated for older kids. I really dislike them and my kids do too. The wire holding the actual earmuff part allows the earmuff to swivel and makes it really difficult to put on and take off. My kids are usually independent in putting on their headphones but can t with these. They also squeeze very tightly, even on my 3 year old s head. They are refusing to wear them and unfortunately since we had to open the package to discover how bad they are, I can t send them back. Really disappointing. 130 dollars wasted!I had the baby banz for our child, so when it was time to buy a toddler version I chose the baby banz because of brand and high reviews. We only use this one when we are vacuuming around the house, so it is not a heavy use. The earmuffz (which by the way, were too expensive compare to other ones) broke in two pieces in the area of the black headband. I was surpised since the baby ones were so sturdy. I am very dissappointed since for the amount of money I paid for this, I would have expected them to last. I would have been better of choosing a cheaper brand. 30 dollars wasted! The black material for the headband seems very flimsy, very different from the baby ones, wich we used much more, and we still have them. I would not buy anymore the banz brand if the materail is as flimsy. 1Horrible Quality!! Headband piece snaps in 2 very easily.Like many others, I bought these toddler/kid ones as the baby versions are so good. These do NOT live up to that. After maybe the 4th wear, simply opening the band to put them on my kids head (barely opening it carefully, as I could tell these are not very bendable, just big enough to put on their head), the plastic headband snapped. I looked and saw many other reviewers say the same thing. These do not hold up, are much cheaper, and snap easily. There is barely any bend to it. Do not waste your money! Now I am going to try another brand... let's see. 1May Not Work Depending on Child's Sensory IssuesThis is something we purchased back in Sept 2013 at the recommendation of our son's first occupational therapist, when he was diagnosed with Sensory Modulation Disorder. My son has acute hypersensitivity to sound. As I write this in May of 2017, after approaching 4 years of therapy, he's still sensitive enough to sound that my phone going off on vibrate two rooms down can wake him up...that's with his sleepy time music playing in his room at the same time. So...he can differentiate the sound over that. Very brief exposure to noisy public things currently still make him quite hysterical...even after you've left the scene of the event. They used to make him vomit or have anxiety poops. So, that we're not seeing that any longer is great progress, right? But yah, trying these seemed like a great idea.So here's the thing. They press in on your head pretty tight. And you're thinking, well of course they would if you're a grown up. But, many kiddos with Autism, and my son went on to be diagnosed with that as well, have larger heads. And then, he went on to be diagnosed with Sotos, which is a form of cerebral gigantism. So, for his age, he's got a goodly sized noggin. At the time we bought these, he was just turned 17 months. And he couldn't handle the sensation of them pressing on his head. His head at the time was about the size of maybe a 3 year old. So, I'm going to say that for these, if your child has sensory issues for tactile defensiveness, or doesn't respond well to pressure in certain areas, you might not even be able to get them to wear these. We tried for over a year before donating them. We've been trying with regular adult size headphones that don't press in nearly to this degree for oh golly, like 3 years now. And we're not having any sustained luck with those as well.We didn't experience any quality control issues with them, but then we couldn't get them to leave them on his head. I did feel like they muted sound a bunch for me when I tried to model wearing them for him. When you're a parent with a child who has sound sensitivity, everybody loves to tell you these are going to solve all of you and your child's problems in that regard. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. If the problems are more serious, I'd lean towards the won't, but they may help. I don't think they're a bad product, but just be aware that they could exacerbate other sensory issues, so I would recommend knowing your child and maybe trying out some headphones at home if you've got them first before you buy these. 3
