    Love it! This matches all the Baldwin hardware on the doors. It works beautifully. Have had no issues with it. The electrician installed it (new construction home) and it has performed perfectly from day one. Would definitely purchase again; would definitely recommend. 5Bad unit I really liked the finish on the metal for this product.The Button lit up when power was connected, but when button was pressed the doorbell didnt ring. I'm guessing the the button had a bad connection somewhere. I could have dealt with the company and gotten a replacement, but I didnt have time. I decided to just return it and get one for half the price at homecreepo. It was a Heath Zenith Halo with an LED for a light. That one I would have given 4 stars.When you are halfway into a project that needs to get finished, getting a working product the first time through matters. 2this is a great way to freshen up your entryway Bronze door door bells can be hard to find and if you have a Baldwin locket set. this is a great way to freshen up your entryway. I had installed with my door, so I didn't do it, but I was told it was an easy instal. Fits nicely with my other Baldwin products with a bronze finish. The only aspect I'm not thrilled with is the color of the doorbell light. It has a pinkish/tannish/beige hue to it and I would have prefered a "white" light. But I would highly recommend. 4Looking great, but not a great button design Nice finish and the product looks solid, but the design is pretty bad. It may be the thickness of the wires at my house. I tried to replace a builder installed button. When I screwed both sides it could not fit the housing without touching the sides and triggering the door bell. If your two contact wires are pretty thin you may not have this problem. 2Took two units combined to get one good, working unit **UPDATE** Lowering my stars from 3 to 2, came home and found the transformer on my unit buzzing. After a simple test turns out the button in this unit went bad already after just a few months, shorting the unit and causing the plastic to melt in my chime box. Now I need to buy a new button to put into this unit. Definitely would not ever buy again.First I will say I do love the doorbell now that it is installed and functioning. The doorbell itself is very heavy and the quality is certainly there as far as the metal is concerned. The problem is that it seems to be hit or miss as far as the internal quality is concerned. The first one I ordered was missing the metal bracket that allows you to attach the doorbell to your house. I thought I was crazy trying to figure out how in the world the doorbell mounted to the house and finally decided something must be missing. I got a replacement from Amazon no problem at all, I do love Amazon's customer service. I mounted it without issue, I did have to make the hole larger in our house from where the old doorbell wiring was coming from the house, because the button sticks out about a quarter inch or so out of the back of the bracket. I used a drill to drill out the hole and make it large enough so that the doorbell could be mounted flush. I connected the doorbell wires and the button stayed lit but there must have been a short inside the doorbell somewhere because the doorbell would just constantly ring when the wires were connected. Lucky for me I still had the other one that I hadn't returned to Amazon yet and I got the button from that and wired it and it worked just fine. So, I'm very glad that I have a working one because the quality is great, but it took two doorbells and pieces from each one to make one good, functioning doorbell. The light is kind of a yellow light, not a white light which I would have preferred.Pros: Heavy, looks very nice and the arches match my arched door handles very nicelyCons: The doorbell button sticks out the back, so you need to open up a wide enough hole in your house to hold it. The yellowish light isn't too appealing. The wiring was bad on one unit, and that seems to be a frequent problem.If I knew I could get a good unit and all the pieces I would certainly order again because of the quality of the metal, but because I couldn't guarantee that I don't think that I would. 2Poor quality. I do not recommend this product. Substandard quality. I ordered this product and had it installed by my electrician. The first product had a short and the light would not stay lit unless this doorbell was oriented horizontally. What? I requested a replacement figuring it was just bad luck with the first item. The second time, the electrician told me the connections were bad and I would continue to have problems with its functionality. Very disappointed as I preferred the style but if it doesn't perform it's primary function as a doorbell, it's of no use. 2Nice looking door bell The door bull is compact and good looking. However the lifetime of the light is limited. 4but with great difficulty. I would not buy another one As others have said, it is not very well made as far as the wiring goes. I did manage to install it and get it to work, but with great difficulty. I would not buy another one. 3The connectors you mount the wires to extend below the ... The connectors you mount the wires to extend below the base of the housing. That means you'll need to drill out the existing hole the wire the wires come from in your house wall to about a 1/2" across and about 1/4" deep to accommodate or recess the mounts. For me this was simple I just used a 1/2" masonry bit to drill out the mortar between the brick so the mounts could be recessed. 5Lovely Doorbell Button These are heavy, well made and look great once installed. Only one complaint...the installation of the "button" part is difficult because it keeps falling out before you can get unit fastened down. Otherwise a great unit, well made and attractive. 5
