    excellent I have many Baldwin hardware items in my home and their amazing performance and finish led me to purchase this door bell button when the opening of my front entrance door was remodeled. I frankly can not be bothered shopping around for a quality that is beneath my expectation from Baldwin. With Amazon's competitive pricing and Baldwin's quality it's really not hard to figure out there is nowhere else I'd rather shop. 5Complements other Baldwin door accessories The polished brass is perfect for our house style and works just like a.....doorbell. 5Expensive and poorly made If I didn't need to replace an old, failed version of this doorbell button, I would not have bought it. This button is over three times the cost of comparable items and is flimsily made. The screws for the contact wires were on so tight that I thought I might break the assembly trying to loosen them in order to connect the bell's wires. I finally got it put together without breaking the assembly. I am hoping this doorbell button lasts more than the five years the old one lasted, but I doubt it. If you don't need to replace an existing one, don't buy Baldwin as it is overpriced and lacks true craftsmanship. 1Two Stars Flimzy plastic on the inside - snapped off with very little pressure. Couldn't use it. 2Great product at a good price. Great product at a good price. Fast & free shipping. I wanted to replace an older Baldwin Brass doorbell with one with a Lifetime Finish when I replaced my front door. Looks great. Thank you. 5
