easily focused (just slide the end in or out) What can you expect for less than $20 with free Prime shipping? Quite a lot, as it turns out. They're surprisingly bright, easily focused (just slide the end in or out), and strike a nice balance between weight and durability. I have a couple of very similar red flashlights and they've held up well. I put one in each of my cars and stashed the rest around my house. Finally, don't overlook the value of the little clip on the thing. If I'm somewhere dark at night or just taking out my dogs, I can clip it to my belt and leave my hands free while still having plenty of light. They're a great value at less than $4 each and a nice little product. 5Luscious Lumens!For our first 'family camp' I wanted to make sure that each of the children had their own flashlight... why is this a five-star deal?Inexpensive:I didn't want to spend too much, knowing that they might get 'hammered' or lost - less than $10 for a set of five is an amazing deal.Visibility:I wasn't expecting much from a single AA battery, but wowzers! They are so much brighter than many of the multiple-LED flashlights I've purchased before... powered by three AAA batteries.Features:Having a flashlight that focus the beam, hi-beam, low-beam, and flash... is very nice.Sealed:It rained a little, and they all got wet... no problems! (I did not test submerged)Very happy with the product / purchase!5Excellent value....These five little flashlights are a very good buy. All five worked as described with several features I did not see mentioned. For instance, there are three modes of operation: bright, low, and blink. What isn't mentioned is that no matter which mode the light is in when you shut it off, it will always start in bright mode at turn-on. So, no worries about it turning on in blink if you shut it off in low brightness. Also, the button need not be fully clicked to change modes; a simple light press accomplishes this. I checked the current draw in bright mode, and it's about 250 milli-amps. I expect that a single AA cell (which were NOT included with my order, by the way) should give well over five hours of intermittent life in bright mode, much more in low. Try getting five hours from a regular flashlight with a filament bulb. In addition, the beam is very regular, with no hot spots unless you focus down to the narrowest beam. In narrow focus, the LED image is projected on what you're illuminating, but is only a little annoying on blank surfaces.At less than four bucks each, these little flashlights are going to find homes in each of my cars, in the bedroom and kitchen, and finally, one in my carry bag.Only one thing occurred to me that you might find to be a negative: you aren't going to stun a bear with these lights, nor will you blind an armed attacker. These lights are much better than the usual flashlight, but they are not the defensive weapons that you see advertised everywhere these days. In light of that, the term "tactical" is more marketing hype than reality. You can read a map and illuminate your camo wardrobe, I suppose, but not much else, tactically speaking. If you are looking for a super-bright blinder, these aren't what you need, but if you want a small, dependable light with good battery life, you won't do much better than these.I am much more than satisfied with my five new emergency lights.One final note: while these are not defensive weapons, you shouldn't look directly at the beam. A good buy.Received these lights today and decided to test them against a J5 Tatical V1 Pro using the very same 14500 900 mAh (3.6v) batteries freshly charged.J5 = 303 lumensCree Ultra Fire = 392 lumensThese are really quite surprisingly bright, I wished they had the same feel in my hand as the J5 V1 Pro but for the money they work well. If you decide to use AA batteries (1.5) the lumens rating is about 190.5Very impressive little lights. All five flashlights work well. The belt clip is heavy duty, and I don't think there will be any problems with the light falling off a belt. I have mine clipped to the side of my Leatherman holster/sheath. Nice little belt set up. Now if I come home at night and hear things going on in the back yard I'll have a light, and a concealed carry 45. To fully utilize the available lumens, you should get some 3.7v batteries. It will work with AA but they are less than half of the maximum volts. 5Best pocket flashlight !Wonderfully bright, compact flashlights that are nicely machined, nicely finished, and beautifully detailed with fine knurling for a good grip. At 3 11/16" (93.66mm) and 1" diameter (25.4mm); (the pocket clip adds slightly to the width), these flashlights fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. Allowing for different battery weights the flashlight is around 2.7oz with a Li-ion 14500 battery installed.Similar to many larger LED flashlights these lights also have a magnifying lens and a front sliding focusing lens segment that adjusts the width of the light throw making a wider or narrower beam as you need. When turned on the flashlight is on its highest setting; then, if you lightly press the end cap you get a slightly less powerful beam, and if you press it a second time you get a "strobe" effect, which might be handy for emergencies. If you press the cap a third time you are back to the brightest setting.One quick feature to note is that the base of these flashlights are flat and will stand up vertically on a table or other level surface to project light onto a ceiling during an emergency or power outage.These inexpensive little LED flashlights truly excel when loaded with Lithium Ion rechargeable 14500 batteries, and when other reviewers claim they put out twice the lumen rating over using a "AA" alkaline battery, we would have to agree that the difference is truly illuminating. They are stupendous flashlights and we have replaced all of the old incandescent flashlights in our cars with these new ones. We've got an alkaline "AA" battery in the glove box along for a spare should the 14500 rechargeable battery run out of power while being used and while the flashlights are not as bright using alkaline "AA" batteries, they still put out lots of good light.To get familiar with Lithium-Ion batteries there are many websites offering explanations about the design and the use of Li-ion batteries, along with suggestions for the best methods for recharging them. Fortunately, there are several inexpensive chargers (and batteries) sold on Amazon that exclusively charge Li-Ion as well as some multi-use battery chargers that charge Li-ion along with charging standard rechargeable AA and AAA batteries, so if you decide to transition to using rechargeable batteries for all your portable electronics and flashlights, this might be a perfect opportunity.Well made, highly functional, and a good weight and size, plus being a good price, there's nothing not to like about these little flashlights and like other reviewers we've bought multiple sets of five flashlights to put in our pockets, our vehicles, and to give to family members. We've been very pleased with this purchase!5Love these things!Not only are these things small, bright, and convenient, but apparently somewhat waterproof. Or at least antifreeze proof. My buddy dropped his in a tub of antifreeze, and 3 hours later, it's still shining. Plus they come in a pack of 5, so you can have one anywhere. Highly recommend5Really Good BargainThese little flashlights are a good bargain. They're lightweight but also sturdy, made of metal, not plastic. They're small but very functional, perfect for pocket or purse or briefcase. I really like it that they each take one AA battery - I hate the small flashlights that take three AAAs - so hard to deal with. These have a nice bright light, and they have a sliding focus feature that is really good. This feature extends the reach of the light on a dark night, so I can easily keep up with my dog as she figures out where to do her business in the yard. The clip is handy if you like to hook a light to your belt, which I don't, but I can see the value of it.Here's a tip: the first one I loaded with a battery came apart on the light-bulb end, but the other four did not. I fussed and fiddled with them for quite a while, getting more aggravated and thinking I'd have to return them, until my son took one and easily unscrewed the other end. Voila. Duh.5Better Than ExpectedThe came crammed in a tiny box with each flashlight wrapped individually with bubble wrap. I didn't know what I was getting when I looked at the box, as I thought that there was no way there were 5 flashlights in it.These are certainly compact. About the size of a roll of quarters in length and at its widest part (the clip) The entire case thing metal, no plastic. It appears that the main body and battery cap are aluminum, I would assume the adjutable else housing is aluminum as well. The lense is glass, and the orange on/off button appears to be silicone.The light is impressive for such a small inexpensive flashlight. It certainly isn't the brightest light I've ever used, but for less than $4 each, I can say you probably can't get much brighter at this price-point, or even 3 times the price. The most impressive thing about the light is its consistent lighting, there are no real bright spots when set at its widest spread. It lights very evenly thanks to the glass lense. There is a little bit of a halo when zoomed in, but the center gets very bright.I recommend these for the car or a woman's purse. Very convenient.5VERY BRIGHT, very light weight, toughOn the creek, there are lots of snakes out on warm summer nights. This is a perfect light for midnight walks on the farm! The light is VERY bright (see picture taken in my office. Daylight from two windows plus ceiling lights on- still very bright contrast shown on wall about five feet away!) I have already dropped it a couple times, happens, and NO PROBLEM. Not suggesting you test that but flash lights DO get dropped so durability is an issue! I'm buying more for gifts. We also sent one to her mother who is elderly and lives alone. She likes to always have a light source available and she loves this product because now she can always have it with her in her house coat. It is small enough that I always carry one with me, both in business casual at work and just knock around clothes at home. Have had absolutely no problems with any of the flashlights so far. I love that only the one AA battery is needed. Very cheap to keep up and running. Am tempted to get another 5 pack just to give away as presents or plant them all over the house, so no room will be without an emergency source of light of some kind. My wife looked at me kind of strangely (more than usual) when 5 mini-flashlights came in the mail, but now she is also a true believer.5At last... I found them!!!!!
