    Looks like a nice package, but lack of assembly diagram and included parts makes it rather hard to even use.There was no specific assembly diagrams for this model to be put together, nor was there a user manual on the CD. I'm rather flustered putting this thing together (and I fix electronics for a living,) this shouldn't be this much of a process. I just keep getting a feeling that there is just a part missing that's keeping me from getting the PC camera from focusing correctly. Would love if someone could send me a PDF. I'm going to give it a few more days before I just return the damn thing.3Patience requiredI purchased this microscope for my hobby - clock repair. Since I have little previous microscope experience, I found the assembly instructions woefully inadequate. I had to rely on the picture in the Amazon site for some of the assembly - and later to call AmScope to find out what some of the parts were and where installed. The instructions seemed very generic.The camera to provide images to my Mac computer would not work. After several long and detailed calls to AmScope, they supplied different software and very patiently walked me through installation. The initial installation failed, but again, AmScope - with great patience got me up and running. I am still learning how to get a sharp and clear picture on my MAC.The micro scope itself is perfect for my needs working on complicated clock movements. Still learning. AmScope has a few instructional videos, but more would be helpful for people like myself.4Nice scope, clear opticsNice scope, clear optics. I really like the stand. I can set it up so I can use it standing up or sitting down. The camera is not so great. It works, but the two-three frames per second doesn't make streaming video very well. Great for deburring, and part inspection.4great purchaseWe are using this for inspection of micro-assemblies. The magnification and resolution are very good. The only negative is the depth of field seems more shallow and area of view is smaller than some other units I have used in the past.43.5X-90X Stereo Zoom Microscope on Boom Stand + 144 LED + 5MP CameraI have been using this type of microscopes for about 20 years from all different manufacturers. At work, I use Scienscope and Luxo. When I decided to buy one for myself, I found Amscope. I was a little apprehensive about buying one from a vendor that I have not heard of but I decided to try one since their prices were much lower.I am happy to report that the microscope itself is excellent. I can not really tell the difference in optical quality from ones that cost 2x or 3x. The build quality is also excellent althought the Luxo that I use at work moves more smoothly and feels definitely more expensive.The 5M pixel camera that came with it is not very good so I called Amscope to see if I can return it. They issued me an RMA without any hassel which was a very pleasant experience. I can just use a Point-and-shoot digital camera above an eyepiece and the result was much better. The LED ring light that came with the system is also excellent. The assembly instruction is poor but I didn't need it since I basically knew how to put it together. It took less than 10 minutes to assemble it.So overall, I would have no hesitation buying or recommending Amscope microscopes, just not their cameras.5Solid like a RockThe Boom Stand is made of monster... Remember to get a monster sturdy table to suit. Professional Looking Quality Except the usb camera, its a shame on Amscope to allow such rubbish to past through (or maybe they are also stuck with it....LOL).. The packing has got to be improved though.
