Customer Reviews

PowerMac G4 450Mhz AGP works perfect. I have a mac G4 450MHz. I was reading and downloading some patches to bring it up to 10.5. the only minimum system requirement I couldn't bypass was 512Mb of RAM. I had 445Mb (I was a little under). I was reading some reviews on some other people's experience with this ram on there mac's. To be clear, PC 133MHz is fully backward compatible with PC 100MHz. I read many form's from Apple.com and many others form lowendmac.com. I couldn't see the harm in ordering $30 worth of ram just to return it if not working. Well it works. Currently I am installing an upgrade for mac 10.4.11 to 10.5.X. Working very well. Couldn't be happier with the end result. Just to be clear this does work with a Blue/Silver G4 (Apple Power Macintosh G4 450 (AGP) 5Works great in my IMac Indigo 500 MHz PowerPC G3 I mentioned to our tech guy at work that I couldn't watch Youtube videos on my old Imac Indigo 500 MHz G3. He said to add more RAM. I thought it came with plenty until I checked and I only had 256 Mb. I replaced the 2 128 Mb DIMM with 2 ACP-EP 512 Mb PC133 168-PIN SDRAM DIMMs. It took a few minutes to snap them in and now it's like I have a new computer for twenty bucks. Now I can watch online videos (I have DSL) and my computer is 4 times faster. 5I recommend for those supportting old hardware I didn't expect to be buying PC133 again, but I had a need in an older machine. The memeory worked flawlessly as did the install. I bought 2 of these 512MB sticks and they were packaged well and in brand new condition as they should be. 4Grateful to have found it, a new life for my emac The price was great, and I purchased a cheap emac that my local pawn shop had scoffed at and nearly begged me to take. With a maximum of two slots that hold 512k a piece, for a maximum of 1GB, my emac is a perfect little machine for writing my articles, balancing my budget, and installed Tiger 10.4.3 nicely. The product made the deal and the difference as it was a low-investment item that made the overall purchase and upgrade of the computer worth it. 5RAM review I was skeptical at first to purchase this RAM for my PPC Quicksilver Mac, as I had never heard from the company before. I was pleasantly surprised. It installed with no problem and works fine, and was less expensive than the vendor I usually purchase from. With parts for older Macs getting scarcer, this vendor is good to find. 5Works great This memory is priced low and the quality is great. It was a little difficult to install. I had to put the PC on its side and then firmly push in the memory and then make sure the tabs on both sides clicked into place properly. It did seem a little shorter than the original memory, but the specs matched, and the chips looked identical to the original. After boot up the memory showed up and all has been well for months. My apps operate much better with the increased memory. 5Dell Optiplex GX240 Revised 3/8/08. Maxed out memory in this older machine with 2 of these modules. Made a notable difference in speed!!! Memory Configurator on ACP-EP's website indicates this is NOT an ECC module, which is contrary to description. One of two modules purchased turned out to be defective; computer and programs were crashing. Used "Windows Memory Diagnostic" boot program to troubleshoot the problem. Seller Amazon.com replaced defective module within a week. Replacement tested OK. However, the black chips on this module had a different logo, the board was slightly different, and the company's white label was covering up another label. Makes me wonder if this was a new or used chip from another company.Based on this experience, I drop my rating from 5 to 3 stars. 5Works great I bought this to upgrade the memory in my old (1999) slot-loading iMac DV to one Gigabyte. Notice that this card has 8-bit bytes only- no parity bit. According to the lit. my iMac will accept memory with parity or without; my other card had none so I chose this one to match. I installed it according to the manual. The computer accepted it immediately at the next power-up and I've been rockin' ever since with a "full Gallon"! The earlier tray-loading iMacs are limited to smaller total memory: 384MB or 512MB depending on model and vintage. Check online resources to precisely identify your machine to determine what memory cards it can take. 5I just wanted a NEW memory card to keep as spare It's new, that all I can say, it does what I want, I keep it as a backup if my previous memory card fails which it does at times. I tested it out and it's good. Just don't buy any used memory, bad experiences with that. 5good support I was helping a friend with their Gateway computer. I already had several of these memory PC-133 memory cards but they were not working in the Gateway computer. The Gateway support was worthless since the computer was 10 years old but when I inquired about the clocking specs on the device sold by this Amazon vendor and gave them my Gateway model number, they were able to match me up with the correct memory card. The price was very decent. The price on this new card was less than what I was seeing advertised for a used memory card on Craigslist. 5
