    Cone is smashed inward probebly got a used 1 When I came to install it I saw behind the holes that the cone is punched in so I unscrewed the top plastic and tried pushing it out but without success so I closed it back after installing it the Box units was going on and off after searching what's going on I saw the connections in the Box are loose so I tightened them and installed it 4Small and loud Used as a siren on my personal car (which was legal given local laws) being a first responder it was necessary to be heard when running lights, this siren did a great job, very loud and moved traffic just fine. I used this siren in harsh winter environments where is was put in very cold snowy conditions and got the job done every time. Plus being so small it can fit pretty much anywhere you have to put it. 5Well made speaker This siren speaker is quite well constructed, The driver is a heavy duty design, with an ample rubber seal. I am driving it with a Whelen 100 watt siren. I mounted it under the hood of a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. Even in the engine compartment, with no direct path for the sound, it is more the load enough to get respect. It sounds clear and powerful using all title 13 siren tones, and is very good as a P.A. speaker as well. In conclusion, if you are looking for a good Siren speaker, that performs like much more expensive units, at a fraction of the cost. I would recommend this one. 5Loud. How loud any siren is depends on your standards and what you are use to. This is loud enough to stop a 10 lanes of traffic at a 4 way intersection with ease. I have a little PT Cruiser with lights. Even with the lights, the car does not standout. This siren makes people look for me. It is loud enough that I do not use it when traffic is clear in residential neighborhoods at night. There is no point in waking people up at 3:00AM. I also only run in a small town with 4 traffic lights total, but the highway goes through town and I have to stop semi-trucks almost every time tones drop. Love it. 5Needs a Amp to Boost it!!! This speaker is very well built but if using it with a PA not at all loud. I work in Construction and use it on the job. It is mounted under my hood on my Tacoma 4x4. It does well for the jobsite. Can be heard well. But people on the road while driving will NOT hear you if that is your desire. I reccomend getting a 100 watt Pa system. That is what will work. If your using a Cb like I am the max output wattage is around 5 watts. So your Pa speaker is pushed with 5 watts!! But this speaker is strong. Built well and does what I need! It is much larger and very heavy compared to the picture! 3Well made and high quality, but not quite as loud as I had hoped. I installed it in my vehicle to act as a PA system. Not sure if it's my CB, my mic, power supply, wiring, or what, but I just cannot get it to be loud enough. I even installed a 100W amp after thinking it may have been the CB's output power and saw some improvement but not enough. While stationary or to pedestrians within 30-50 yards, its ok but further than that or trying to communicate with someone in another vehicle, especially while moving it simply isn't loud enough. Again, I'm no expert so it may not be the speaker itself, but it's just not quite as loud as I had hoped. That said, it seems very robust and well made. I will likely try a different CB or Amp before writing the speaker off. 3I know first hand that having a good siren speaker to let people know that you are ... I recently bought this speaker for my POV a month ago and it was a purchase well made. As a volunteer firefighter and first responder, I know first hand that having a good siren speaker to let people know that you are coming is essential to decreasing response time and limiting potential dangers that may be encountered with traffic. This siren speaker is low price, high quality, and comes with a great 5 year warranty in case anything happens to it. The speaker I originally bought blew out after running multiple calls, but the with helpful folks who sell it and their 5 year warranty, the problem was quickly and easily resolved and it was replaced in full. I highly recommend this product to anyone in the emergency field that needs to be heard loud and clear while responding to someone's worst day. As for the speaker, no complaints yet. It's loud and clear. I will provide an update once I've had it in service for several months.Things to consider:Despite being compact and sleek, you'll want to double check to see if it can be mounted easily, especially on newer vehicles. In my case, I had to remove the front clip of my SUV to mount it behind the grille (a 1/4" drill is required to drill holes for the mounting bracket). Know your mechanical abilities. If you're unsure or have reservations, I recommend paying someone who's qualified install it. For those who intend to install this themselves. This unit weighs several pounds (it's pretty hefty), be careful that the bracket and speaker are fastened securely so that the unit won't move/tilt and possibly damage anything in and around the area where it's mounted. 5Needs 100w Really good with a 200w amp, 100w must goto speaker, otherwise not loud. Clear and great Abrams quality, very heavy, cannot wire tie this, must bolt!I purchased a $50 200w(100w to speaker)And works excellent, I use this with a Adafruit mini $19 sound board to play any recording. 5Great speaker with a bit of heft Very happy with this speaker. Wired up and installed easily. Only problem to date is the two bolt holes in the speaker housing appeared to have stripped. Contacted seller who offered a couple "repair" solutions, but also offered to send another item. Would definitely purchase again, just will relook install location (as this speaker has quite a bit of heft) and I don't think the original install location and hardware combination were a good match. 5
