As Advertised, So FarUltimate thumbs up or down on this product for me will be how long they last. I've been burned by other brands, Cree and Ecosmart in particular that just don't last. Jury is out on these as this is the first time I have used them. That said, they fit my cans well and were relatively easy to install. Hardest part is getting the springs inserted into the guides on the inside of my cans. Not all cans may have the same guides that I do in mine and it wasn't hugely difficult but being on a ladder makes it harder.They are certified for dry and wet locations. Unfortunately they do not specifically mentioned being certified for closet applications i.e. no exposed bulb, but I am working under the assumption that they are. If anyone has a hard and fast answer to that, I would love to know.4It's junk. Very poor mounting design.Wish I could leave zero stars. The arms that hold tension on the can and are mounted to the side of each light were not connected when I opened the first box. I connected them and tried to install the light. I have experience with these. The tension arms came off again. This product is very poorly designed and will not function for very long. Plenty of quality lights of this type in the market, please don't buy this one. Also, the wires fell out of the clip that connects the screw in part to the light. It's so poorly made. You will want to use a dimmer with these as their lumen output is equivalent to a 120w incandescent, unless you really want to have that much light. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because this particular example was obviously returned as there were smudges on the trim and diffuser, but I managed to get them cleaned off before installing.Also, make sure your recessed can has the double C shaped ears on both sides of the inside, or slots, to work with the springs that hold this light snugly against the ceiling before you buy. I will be buying more!4Easy install, very bright, just not quite wide enough flange for meI purchased these to replace eight incandescent ceiling mounted lights (R30) that were installed well over 30 years ago. I removed the old inner canisters and replaced them with new 6" inch Remodel LED Can Air Tight IC Housing LED Recessed Lighting. These new LED lights fit into those canisters very easily. They are really bright (which I wanted), and they are on an LED dimmer now. My only complaint is that the round flange outside the bulb area isn't wide enough for my needs. The old light fixture had a much wider flange, and I'm guessing because of that, the ceiling material wasn't as precisely fitted to the old canister. Because this new light fixture doesn't cover the old hole in the ceiling, and is barely enough to cover the new canister, I will need to add plaster repair/caulking and paint to improve the look. Of course I didn't know that until I removed the old fixtures. I've now seen that some other brands have a slightly wider flange, and in retrospect perhaps I should have gotten them instead of now needing to make some minor, but time consuming repairs. Other than the aesthetic fit issue I am facing, I am happy with these lights.5Easy Install - Bright and Warm LightI just purchased a condo that needs some paint and general cleaning up. The recessed lights throughout the unit (36 of them) have changed color in that they are no longer a nice white. I knew I could not paint the ceiling and leave these discolored lights. I thought the best would be to paint them. I have done that at my home previously using a heat rated paint. A neighboring condo owner said he put in retrofit lights. They looked great. I bought one this Bioluz 120w equivalent retrofit to see if it would cover the old lighting rims and to make sure it fit. I tried it in two fixtures to be sure and it was a perfect fit in both (they were not identical- Strange that the builder did not have all the same fixtures). Point though is that this retrofit is ideal. It fit in both designs, it covered the old rims, installed it looks like a brand new fixture, the light is bright and the light is warm, the look is great.. The cost is about that of just buying new bulbs which I need to do anyway. I don't have to paint the old fixtures now saving me a lot of work. This is a great product. I will retrofit all the recessed lighting fixtures in the condo, all 36 of them.5Lamps are as advertised. Installation was a mini adventureLamps are bright (advertised as 1200 lumens) and are on the bring side of soft white (advertised as 2700 K). The reason I purchased these is because I wanted the brightest soft white LED bulbs I could find as replacements for a set of 65 watt down spots in our bathroom. I am satisfied. I'm not an electrician and this is my first experience using this style hangers. They were harder to hang than I expected, but eventually I figured it out. Also one of the wires fell out of the connector on one of the lamps during the installation process. I pushed it back in and it is working fine (quality control anyone?) but another time I must have jiggled the connector too much and the lamp fell on the tile floor. The good news is that it was only slightly damaged and my wife gave me the ok to install it.3Great light. Be careful with spring though.Love the fit, color and light in general. My only issue was like another reviewer mentioned- the spring can pop off. It's not secured well to the bracket on the light. I'd suggest to carefully pre bend the spring before installing. Needs a better mechanism to hold the spring to the body of the light. Other than that it seems to be a great light!Update. Got 4 more. Still great lights, one of the brightest LED I can find, but one of the wires popped out of the connectors during install, might not be the best quality connectors but I was able to reinsert the wire into the connector ok- secured it with electrical tape to make sure.4These are NOT the original 6" led cans Bioluz used to sell 2 years ago. INFERIOR LIGHTS.A couple years ago, I outfitted a house with a couple hundred 6" Bioluz cans. A couple of them burnt out after only a couple years (which shouldn't happen because they have an expected lifespan of 30 years). So, I reordered a 3 eight-packs so I'd have enough to backfill any defects for 30 years.By the time I opened the eight-packs, I came to realize Bioluz changed the design of the 6" led lights. These new units look cheap, don't match the original lights, and have less wattage and brightness than the originals. To add insult to injury, I can't even return these USELESS LIGHTS. So, I'm out $300 and I have a house filled with led cans that are no longer available.This means, I'll have to replace more than 200 lights in my house with another product if I want them to match.Do not buy these lights. They're far inferior to the original design. Besides that, you can't trust BIOLUZ to produce this model for years to come.1Great lightGreat lights. Easy to install, individually boxed and protected, great quality. Nice range of dimming. Installed with a quality LED specific dimmer switch. No buzzing sound what so ever. Fits well with HALO can lights. Most importantly, the light is a warm light, similar to incandescent bulbs. Instant on. Very bright when at full on. Installed throughout basement. Love them so much, I'm installing through the rest of the house also. Wish they came in packs of 12 or more.5
