Customer Reviews

Poor Quality I purchased these and installed them. I kept getting strange network errors and plain out outages. After hours of troubleshooting, I discovered that all 3 cables were bad by testing them with my Fluke. Don't buy these. There are better quality Ethernet cables out there. Cost me way more in time than money but my time is important to me!!!!! 1Do not buy it for using with laptops. I returned this soon after using for a few days. It is cheap but the difference is not worth the hassle it causes.Cons:The connector does not mate with the LAN port tightly. Any slight movement and tilt in the cable causes connection to drop. The cable quality is very poorly built. The spring of the snapping tab seems very weak and breakable.Pro:Other than intermittent connection, when connected you can easily achieve the technology limited LAN speeds.Buy this cable, only if you are going to use it in a place you are sure the cable and the socket wont move. 1Great cable, worked perfectly for my needs. Arrived as described and performs as expected. I ordered a 30ft CAT5 cable to run all the way around my living room underneath the carpet edge to connect my stereo receiver to our router. The cable is very flexible and I encountered zero problems while running or using this cable. The cable connections lock nicely when inserted into their female counterparts.I have some other CAT5 cables that are heavier than this one, but I have seen no indication that a heavier cable is advantageous; in fact, quite the opposite during install, a heavy CAT5 cable would be harder to tuck and/or weave around obstacles. Likewise, the speed of data transfer with this cable seems to be just as good as my other heavier CAT5 cables. 5Great cable to use for the 30 feet that you run it I highly recommend because it does comes up excellent every time I check i. Well I highly recommend this cable I have it run 30 feet from my box down the wall of the hallway and into my computer can the living around and I thought that I would lose some signal strength between there and my bedroom but believe it or not my signal strength is excellent the shielding on this cable works very well and I highly recommend this cable. 4Possibly br choices Works perfectly for my needs, but began opening at one of the ends :(still works but could be more durable 4Cable looked used and didn't work Seemed like too good of a deal to be true and, well, it was. Cable looked used and flimsy right out of the box - casing was slightly dingy, there were a few scuff, and - overall - it looked like it definitely spent some time under someone's desk. Decided to test it out and it failed on a cable tester straightaway. Attempted to try it anyone (for the lulz) and couldn't get a connection through it. Hardly worth the hassle of the return :/ 1Not Much to Say, but Does It's Job Well, it's an ethernet cable. Not really a whole lot I can say about it. It works, and works well. Didn't tangle easily, and provided just what I needed to drop a 2nd line from our Wireless-N300/Gigabit router in the livingroom down to a 5 port switch in my workshop, allowing me wired connections to multiple PC's I may be working on, while still maintaining a dedicated gigabit line for the server in the shop that runs 24/7. I think it might be hard to beat the price of these cables unless maybe you were making your own right off of a spool, and even then, I think it would be pretty close. Overall, if you don't want to deal with the hassle of terminating cables, this cable (or the 50ft variety) can't be beat. 5Only supports 100Mbps? I got a 30ft cable delivered yesterday and ethtool in Linux told me it only goes up to 100Mbps. I switched to a 25-foot blue Ethernet cable that I ordered 4 years ago and it said 1000Mbps (1Gbps).I'm not so sure if this cable has 4 wires instead of 8 due to my visual impairment, so if I recall in the Internet (do a search as I cannot post a link), an Ethernet cable needs 8 wires for 1Gbps speed to work correctly. For non-Linux users out there, ethtool (Ethernet tool) is a command-line utility program that shows information regarding speed, duplex (half/full), advertised/supported link modes (10BaseT, 100BaseT, 1000BaseT), Wake-on-LAN, and whether a link is detected or not. You can also control network driver and hardware settings. 1Its cheap I give it a 1 for the simple fact that if you have to unplug it more than three times you might as well glue it to your ethernet port. the clips that hold it in place break real easy and its data transfer rate is just not what it should be... I have a great provider and i still get buffering even when there isn't a lot of network traffic. 1Ok cable Good price for 30' Ethernet cable but it's a bit on the flimsy side. Individual internal wires are nonstandard colors so if you intend to cut it and put another Ethernet plug on it'll be a challenge keeping the wires straight 4
